Abstract:
Introduction: Thanks to the scientific publication information may be essentially known inside the scientific work and those publications are taking the primordial place in researching. It’s thanks to the publication that a performance of a high teaching facility and university is assessed. Objective: This research is aimed to scientific productions work of teachers of Lubumbashi Nursing College from March 2006 up to April 2018. Methods: We have used the descriptive and bibliographic methods. The data were collected using the questionnaire method and the documentary analysis. Out of one hundred and twenty (120) scientific and academic personals, only thirty nine (39) have fulfilled the condition required to participate research. So, in the period of twelve years, we have collected sixty eight (68) scientific productions. Outcome: We have noticed a disproportion between the number of the teachers who should produce and the number of publication that have been produced. Secondly, we’ve also noticed the irregularity of put that is out of one hundred twenty scientific teachers; we realized fourteen (14) articles which were published by the female teachers against to fifty four (54) produced by the male teachers. This is to say that in the international magazine ten (10) articles were published and fifty eight (58) were produced locally. This irregularity of publishing is due to the fact that research is able to publish unless (there is a promise of promotion) his expecting to be promoted. Otherwise, publication became sometimes non-existent. Conclusion: A teacher who is also a researcher has to publish and inform others about his researches. The work done by ISTM of Lubumbashi Teachers during the period of twelve years has produced sixty eight (68) articles for thirty mine (38) writers. Not more than half has been published. And we come to realize that writers have last the interest of publishing.
In No-Man’s Land. Community, Identities and Moral Lives in Depopulated Settings in the North of Spain  [PDF]
Angel Paniagua
Advances in Applied Sociology (AASoci) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/aasoci.2011.11002
Abstract: The purpose of this article is to study the different ways depopulation is reflected from moral or ethical perspectives of geographical thinking. The objective here is to determine how moral lives (that reflect different opinions about the situational justice, spatial-environmental identity, affective morality and individual trajectory) are maintained in depopulated regions. It has been acknowledged that socio-cultural traditions in each space orientate the moral construction of depopulation, both in relation to socio-ecological repercussions, and also to construction of the community, or in processes of intra or extra-area socio-political negotiation. Some case studies are presented which have been analysed from a qualitative methodological approach, which considers residence in the area, systematic observations and semi-structured interviews.

Journal of Cancer Therapy (JCT) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jct.2013.41A013
Abstract:

Gastric cancer is the most common cancer worldwide and it is often diagnosed in an advanced stage. In countries where screening endoscopy is performed widely, early detection is possible. In fact, early gastric cancer incidence is increasing during the last years worldwide and screening could be a major factor in such increase. In the past, the standard treatment of gastric cancer was surgical resection; however, the endoscopic treatment has increased due to advances in the instruments available and clinician experience. In fact, endoscopic resection has become one of the greatest advances in EGC treatment. It is the standard treatment in most of the cases because early gastric cancer is associated with a low rate of lymph node metastasis and a high survival rate. Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and more recently Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection are the two main developed procedures. Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection achieves a higher rate of en-bloc resection, complete resection, curative resection and lower local recurrence compared with Endoscopic Mucosal Resection group. The disadvantages associated with Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection, such as higher perforation rates and longer procedure time, will probably improve as the endoscopists experience increases and new endoscopic tools are developed. The aim of this paper is to review the management of EGC with a special focus on endoscopic detection, staging, therapy, surveillance, and prevention.

Senning operation for correction of the transposition of the great arteries, results, long-term outcome and quality of life  [PDF]

World Journal of Cardiovascular Diseases (WJCD) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/wjcd.2012.23036
Abstract: Objective: Long-term results after the Senning operation for transposition of the great arteries are little known. Sinus node dysfunction and systemic ventricular dysfunction are crucial in patient survival. We evaluated the results, long term outcome and quality of life in a group of 39 patients. Methods: The study was a retrospective analysis, of 39 (39/40 = 97.5%) surgical surviving patients, submitted to Senning operation, with a mean follow-up time of 14.7 +/– 3.1 years. Electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, and chest radiograph series were performed every 6 months. Thirty six patients of this series underwent Holter study and ergometric test, to evaluate the physical capacity. Three patients living overseas were excluded. Results: There was only one late death (1/39) (late mortality = 2.5%): a 16 year-old patient had a no cardiac death. The actuarial survival was 95.0% (38/40) (simple or with little VSD, TGA). The probability of staying in sinus rhythm, in 39 surviving patients was 77.1% (30) or normal right ventricular function was 76.5% (29), 10 to 20 years after operation. The incidence of sinus node and right ventricular dysfunction increased gradually over time. No re-operations and pacemaker implantation, was performed. Functional class: I = 30 (85.7%) cases and functional class II = 5 (14.3%) cases. Conclusions: Patients with simple TGA submitted to Senning procedure in our experience, presented during late follow-up: 1—Low incidence of right ventricular dysfunction and active arrhythmias; 2—Low mortality and no sudden death recorded; 3—Good quality of life and 4—Satisfactory surgical results (free of re-operation or definitive pacemaker implantation).

Abstract:

In an analytic methodological approach, TCM Shao Yin circuit and Lightning physics are compared in order to provide an academic support to relate these phenomena. The aim of this work is to offer a scientific description contrasting both events, so to find an electrophysiological explanation for the complementary resuscitation maneuver over K-1 Yongquan acupuncture point.

Working Time Reductions and Labour Force Participation in Unemployment Contexts: A Note  [PDF]
Angel Martin-Roman
Theoretical Economics Letters (TEL) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/tel.2014.43025
Abstract: Work-sharing measures aim to reduce unemployment. When politicians are more interested in fostering this kind of measures is when the official unemployment rate published in statistics rises. There is already an important body of research addressing this issue, but it has mainly focused on the labour demand side. Nevertheless, it must not be forgotten that unemployment is determined both by demand and supply. The neoclassical model of labour supply predicts that a reduction of standard working hours encourages labour market participation. In this paper we show that this unambiguous result vanishes precisely when high unemployment makes that search transaction costs cannot be considered negligible.
Pacific Alliance and the Challenge of the Green Economy  [PDF]
Ernesto Rangel, Angel Licona
Modern Economy (ME) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/me.2015.61008
Abstract: The Pacific Alliance (PA) was constituted on April 28, 2011 by Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru. It represents a market of 209 million people with a GDP of over 2 billion USD. It has more than 35 percent of GDP in Latin America and concentrates 50 percent of Latin American exports to the world. PA as regional integration instance that moves progressively to the openness of the movement of goods, services and investments and, shows even more the importance of the Asia Pacific region, whose economic dynamics and competitiveness achieved in the XXI century, presents a greater challenge to Latin American economies. With the integration process that keeps the four countries of the PA, it is necessary to extend cooperation with APEC, particularly in green economy area as an alternative to the challenge of the problems of climate change, the Kyoto protocol and technological change, among others issues, being an alternative to address the deterioration of renewable and nonrenewable resources in the various PEC economies. The authors present the PA as a promising regional integration initiative that should use the experience of APEC to open a field of collaboration that allows the rapprochement between these two regions, in order to promote friendly competition with the environment. The experiences followed by each of the member economies of the PA are presented as a suitable platform to search for mechanisms intra and interregional collaboration that enable green economy that should be aspirated.
The Accounting Analysis of Banking Company: The Case of CAM  [PDF]
Miguel Angel Perez Benedito
Modern Economy (ME) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/me.2015.62015
Abstract: The measure of management risk has been a constant in Economy in the recent past. This issue is present on any kind of economic or financial activity. The solution adopted for international authorities, increasing liquidity of financial market and generating new indicators to support making decisions, means the continuity of applying the monetary theory as general criteria to solve the actual crisis. In this labyrinth, the manuscript uses the Accounting Methodology of Edgeworth’s Box as a new methodology to measure the management of Banking Companies and analyzes the acquisition of the CAM and Bank Sabadell, two Spanish banking companies. Finally, the manuscript analyzes the financial crisis in Spain through the behavior of listed banking companies in IBEX 35. The manuscript concludes that accounting can explain equilibrium in economy, and it only needs to know how they can be measured properly.
The Sunspots  [PDF]
Angel Fierros Palacios
Journal of High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Cosmology (JHEPGC) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jhepgc.2015.12007
Abstract: In the present paper, the theoretical frame work of magneto hydrodynamics (MHD) is used to give a solution of the problem about the origin, persistence and disappearance of the Sunspots; as well as their tendency to appear as bipolar magnetic couples. According to the results obtained, a possible explanation about the change of polarity in both solar hemispheres is given. Heuristic but logical arguments about the periodicity of the phenomenon of the observed magnetic polarity and the tendency of couples of Sunspots to appear solely in certain latitudes that can be called tropical regions of the Sun are presented. Finally, an indirect experimental test is proposed to show the possible process that produces the polarity of the Sunspots in a given cycle, as well as the invertion of that polarity in the next solar cycle.
The Magnetic Field in the Stability of the Stars  [PDF]
Angel Fierros Palacios
Journal of High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Cosmology (JHEPGC) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jhepgc.2015.12008
Abstract: The theoretical frame developed by A. S. Eddington is used in this paper in order to study the problem of internal structure and stars stability. A new hypothesis is developed that consists of assuming that at early stage of their evolution, all gaseous stars generate an intense magnetic field whose mission is to contribute to their stability. A simple methodology is shown to calculate the magnitude of the self-generated magnetic field at any point of the star, and diagrams are built for two specific cases, where the way in which this field varies from the center to the surface can be seen. Finally, the problem of the Cepheid type variables is studied obtaining an expression for the oscillation period carried out from the differential equation of the simple harmonic movement in terms of the appropriate parameters of the star.
