Abstract: psychoanalysis has been facing a remarkable challenge nowadays: its establishment in public health institutions in brazil. this essay aims to establish a dialog between on psychoanalysis and institution, proposing a theoretical examination about some possibilities of group work supported by this theoretical perspective. our intention is not to raises questions to the psychoanalytic clinic method, but to promote new reflections that may contribute to the change of this field of knowledge. taking the psychosocial care centers for alcohol and other drugs users (capsad) as point of departure we developed our reasons. first, we presented some of the meaning/value of the word institution, associating them to the text civilization and its discontents (freud) and to the psychoanalytic approach to the toxicomania (drug addiction). after, we introduced the notion of amplified clinic (clínica ampliada) with the intention to articulate the psychoanalytic clinic and the institutional demand for the toxicomania treatment.

Romanini, Moises;Roso, Adriane;
Psicologia: Ciência e Profiss?o , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-98932012000100007
Abstract: this paper is based on a discursive analysis of reports from the highest circulating mass print media available in the state of rio grande do sul, brazil. here we examine the ideology underlying a specific series on “crack epidemics”. depth hermeneutics were used for the theoretical and methodologic approach applied to the analysis. the results of the ideologic analysis indicated how relations of domination were established and/or sustained in the specific series. several ideologic strategies were identified in the series of reports examined: universalization, naturalization, differentiation, purging of the other, standardization and euphemization, among others. these strategies work together obscuring important meanings for understanding the phenomenon in question.

Abstract This study aims to articulate the three pillars of academic training (Teaching and Research) from the topic of drugs, since this is rarely addressed in courses in psychology, but of fundamental importance to the professional psi. To this end, we will discuss the extension project "Social Psychology, Cinema and Health: Study Circle and Critical Analysis Shared movies / documentaries." We intend, at this point, present on the part of the project activity "Perspectives on Alcohol / Drug", showing their goals, their importance in the academic and teaching method, but mainly emphasizing the activity performed in the same film. The film productions listed for this analysis were the documentary "Smoke" and the movie "The Seven Headed Beast." With different approaches, both movies criticize the logic of prohibition and seek to bring reflections on the use / drug user.
Roso, Adriane;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X2000000200009
Abstract: this article refers to a reception research of seven television prevention campaigns, done in south brazil - porto alegre, rio grande do sul, with 38 women, ages 18-51 years old, from low-income class. the sample was divided in two groups: women that don't participate in groups that fight against aids/hiv and women that participates in groups that fight against aids/hiv. based in a qualitative framework, the depth hermeneutic and the feminist theory were employed in order to study the ideology and gender relations underneath the campaigns' messages. the results indicate that for both groups of women television is an important source of aids related information, although they believe the campaigns do not stimulate the use of condom. while the first group of women agrees and identifies themselves with the majority of messages and images within the campaigns, the second group perceives that behind the messages the voice of the ideology operates, throughout a variety of strategies, to create and to establish relations of domination.
Minorias étnicas e representa es sociais: notas sobre a entrada do psicólogo social em uma comunidade Quilombola = Ethnics minorities and social representations: appointments on the social psychologist’s entry in Quilombola community
Roso, Adriane
Psico , 2011,
The public politics directed to the remaining communities of Quilombos do not entirely respond to their necessities. It is presented here part of an ethnographic research, whose main aim is to investigate how knowledge and traditional practices, related to health and illness, of a Quilombola community are articulated to (post) modernity. The analysis of the information anchors on the theory of the social representations (sociocultural and dialogic perspectives) and on the Black health studies. The focused community in this research had prior negative experiences with health care researchers, what impacted directly on our study. To establish good rapport and dialogic relationships we had to (re)think our role as social psychologists, our preconceptions and social representations. Only after that we were able to get familiar with the community and understand their practices. It is concluded that the ethnographic research, as well as their multiple crossings, represents a challenge to the social psychology.
Adriane Roso
Revista Interamericana de Psicología , 2010,
Abstract: This article presents the results of a qualitative research which aimed to analyze the discourses of New York City residents' healthcare workers that provide care to Latina HIV-positive women. Applying indepth interviews and observation of a mothers support group s, the perceptions regarding to the sexual and reproductive experiences of their patients (Latinas HIV-positive mothers) were collected. The data interpretation was based on the theoretical assumption that sexuality and reproduction are a social construction and the body is a disciplinary and biopolitic discursive practice. Among other findings, analysis indicated that healthcare workers accept seropositive pregnancy nowadays, but this acceptance comes along with ambivalence and/or intolerance to women that have more than one or two pregnancies.
The Feasibility of a Monetary Union in MERCOSUR
Moises Numa
Michigan Journal of Business , 2011,
Abstract: Based on the progress of the European Union (EU) and the development of the European Monetary Union (EMU), many economists have studied the possibility of implementing a single monetary unit system in other regions of the world. When considering the countries in the region of Latin America, experts suggest they are currently not ready for a monetary union. This paper analyzes the feasibility of a currency union within MERCOSUR – a trade agreement between Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay – with a long-term perspective. In order to form a conclusion, the concept of a currency union in MERCOSUR was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The existing Euro model was studied and frequently used as an example. In addition, the country profiles of all four members of MERCOSUR were conceptually compared and also analyzed with econometric models to test the current level of integration. The results suggest that these four countries are not ready for a currency union because their level of integration is not strong enough and there is too much volatility in their economies. To develop into an optimum currency area, several actions must first occur: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay must increase their level of integration amongst each other, improve their economic performance, and lastly, all four countries must believe and act in such a way that shows they are unified under a single goal. Lastly, the Eurozone has proven that to have a sustainable currency union, there must be fiscal integration to absorb and smooth economic shocks. If the ultimate goal is a monetary union, then an economic union should also be taken into consideration.
Periodic forcing of a 555-IC based electronic oscillator in the strong coupling limit
Moises Santillan
Physics , 2014,
Abstract: We designed and developed a master-slave electronic oscillatory system (based on the 555-timer IC working in the astable mode), and investigated its dynamic behavior regarding synchronization. For that purpose we measured the rotation numbers corresponding to the phase-locking rhythms achieved in a large set of values of the normalized forcing frequency (NFF) and of the coupling strength between the master and the slave oscillators. In particular we were interested in the system behavior in the strong-coupling limit, because such problem has not been extensively studied from an experimental perspective. Our results indicate that, in such a limit, a degenerate codimension-2 bifurcation point at NFF=2 exists, in which all the phase-locking regions converge. These findings were corroborated by means of a mathematical model developed to that end, as well as by ad hoc further experiments.
