Abstract: the teaching know-how arouses the interest of educators who deal with this subject from different points of view: teacher's competence; integration of the student's hidden knowledge; the reflexive-critical teacher; proposal for liberating education and political practice; the recognition of educational complexity and reflection on the fragmentation of disciplines which make difficult the interdisciplinariety. this descriptive-qualitative study is about a teaching process based on theoretical and empirical analyses, proposed by edgar morin, and took place in the discipline of didactics from the master course of health and education at unifor in 2004. twenty master students from several professional categories participated in the event. the outcomes showed that the dynamics applied to the study provided greater understanding of concepts, integration, as well as relaxing environment concerning the learning process. it is concluded that strategies such as games, group dynamics and pedagogical psychodrama provide participation and the expression of feelings, interaction, assimilation and experiences shared through the collective construction of knowledge.

Abstract: this is an essay about possible articulations between phenomenology, humanization and health promotion. phenomenology is the study of the description of human phenomena and their meanings. phenomenological research in the healthcare field has been strengthened during the last years, motivated by the need to apprehend the meanings of each subject inserted in the context of his/her cultural and historical wholeness. as a criticism to the biomedical model, it has encouraged the emergence of health phenomenology and the new production in health care. phenomenology is proposed here as an important methodological resource for the understanding of the humanization process in the healthcare and health management areas, due to the consonance with the perspective of integrality, autonomy and enlarged view of the health/illness process, by means of its presuppositions of phenomenon totality, intentional conscience and ethics.

Abstract: children's nutritional condition reflects both their food consumption and health condition. these factors depend on the food available at home, salubriousness, the environment and the care the child receives. this qualitative study presents perceptions and feelings in order to understand how families live with the problem of child malnutrition. data were collected through semistructured interviews and observations, involving 10 mothers of undernourished children in the suburbs of fortaleza-ceará, brazil. the transcriptions of their discourse revealed the theme categories unemployment and food insecurity. the synthesis of the categories under analysis evidenced that the hunger problem is characteristic by the family's insecurity. thus, they search for support options, such as health centers, relatives, church and community. there is a need to prioritize preventive work, through public health policies, aimed at measures related to the real world of health promotion.

Abstract: work-related musculoskeletal disorders (wrmd) have shown increasing incidence all over the world. this study aimed at describing how public officers (in fortaleza, ce) react to a wrmd diagnosis. in this qualitative study, data were collected by means of participant observation and interviews with nine informants (aged 40 through 57), recruited at a rehabilitation clinic in 2004; they were office clerks, teachers, and a technician. two subject-matter categories emerged from data analysis: reactions to diagnosis and treatment; and interpersonal relation changes after diagnosis. results allowed for inferring the impact of wrmd in workers' daily lives: functional limitation leads to frustration and indignation; the illness non-acknowledgment by workmates brings a feeling of rejection and exclusion. the initial reaction of denying the illness - hence not resorting to medical assistance - points to the issue of underreporting, which hinders wrmd both prevention and control.
