A Hybrid Key Management Scheme Based on Clustered Wireless Sensor Networks  [PDF]

Abstract: According to the weakness of session key construction based on node’s own location, we propose a hybrid key management scheme which based on clustered wireless sensor networks. The use of hierarchical thinking, reducing the amount of key storage and computing, while supporting network topology, dynamic key management for which aims to prevent leakage. Through analyzing, it shows that the scheme have certain advantages in key connectivity, security, communication and energy consumption.
Economic Model Analysis of Enterprise Brand after Introducing Personal Brand

Abstract: Regarding the hospital as a special enterprise whose output is information, this article shows that the demand curve of the hospital rotates in a clockwise direction. That means the elasticity of the curve becomes lesser, which is useful for the hospital to implement the second-degree price discrimination. The reason is that the distribution of the unit price that the consumer willing to pay becomes more dispersed when the information outcome contains personal brand and enterprise brand. The combination of the personal brand (specialist brand, etc.) and product brand (drugs made-by-the-hospital, etc.) is the base of the hospital’s brand. This article analyzes the relationship among the three brands under a unified framework from the aspect of the product popularity. This article shows that the high product popularity cannot change into the actual sales revenue until the hospital obtains high product popularity by reflecting the consumer’s single profit point. Therefore, this article suggested the enterprise to focus on the single category of their products to get the consumers’ vote (i.e. currency).
Spherical Tiling by 12 Congruent Pentagons

Abstract: The tilings of the 2-dimensional sphere by congruent triangles have been extensively studied, and the edge-to-edge tilings have been completely classified. However, not much is known about the tilings by other congruent polygons. In this paper, we classify the simplest case, which is the edge-to-edge tilings of the 2-dimensional sphere by 12 congruent pentagons. We find one major class allowing two independent continuous parameters and four classes of isolated examples. The classification is done by first separately classifying the combinatorial, edge length, and angle aspects, and then combining the respective classifications together.

The tourism industry is considered a typical service industry, one in which the involvement of service components is relatively high. Serving and satisfying customers are fundamental goals of the tourism business, with service providers being part of the product itself. Given tour guides’ roles as intermediaries between tourists and an unfamiliar environment, special attention should be paid to the service quality of tour guides, as it has the potential to increase tourist satisfaction and produce measurable benefits in profits and market share. The aim of the study is therefore to build the quality indicators of tour guide services. In terms of research methodologies, a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches was conducted to reach the objectives. After both in-depth interviews and two rounds of focus group sessions, six dimensions (reliability, response, physical environment, guarantee, care and culture) and 30 indicators were obtained. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to determine the weighting of various evaluation criteria on the indicators of Taiwanese tour guides’ service quality. Among the criteria, “The tour guides have a precise service attitude and execution ability.” was found to be the most important, while “During the trip, the tour guides dress properly.” ranked as the least important.

The U/Θ effect of electricity parameters of the lotus root silk in the liquor with different pH values

Abstract: The silk of lotus root is a kind of natural biomaterial with the advantages of easy absorbing and dissolving and poisonless. It may become a new engineering material for clinic and tissue engineering. However, the relationship between its electricity parameters and the pH values of the liquor that the silk is dipped in is unknown presently. The electricity parameters of inductance, capacitance and impedance of the silk were measured in the environment with the temperature ranging from 23°C to 25°C and the humidity ranging from 45% to 55% when it was dipped in the liquor with different pH values for 24 h. The results show that the inductance and impedance vary in U shape curves with the liquor pH value, and the capacitance varies in Θ shape curve. The minimal value of the U curves and the maximal value of the Θ curve appear at the point where the pH value equals to 7. The phenomena are called the U/Θ effect. It means that the silk has perfect biocompatibility with human tissues. The study results may imply that the silk have broader potential applications in biomedicine, tissue engineering and bioelectronics.

Abstract: In recent years, the increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant pathogens has become a global hotspot which is exacerbated by the overuse of antibiotics in human medicine and livestock production systems. Soil plays an important role in the spread of antibiotic resistance. As a huge antibiotic-resistance gene pool, soil suffers from the potential risk of antibiotic resistance. This review summarized the pollution sources of one type of typical antibiotics-tetracyclines and their residue levels in soil environment. The potential sources, survival, fate and dissemination of tetracycline resistance genes in soil, as well as the molecular methods used to detect resistance genes have been discussed based on recent published literatures. In China, large quantities of various antibiotics are widely produced and used, however, little is known about the antibiotic resistance in environment. Consequently, it is urgent to carry out a systematic research on environmental pollution of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance.

Abstract: Image steganography is a covert communication method that uses an image as the cover to hide the truth from potential attackers that some secret message hidden in the image is being transported. When we appreciate the astonishing beauty of a world famous picture in its digital form on the computer, it is hard to imagine that the picture might actually be working as a messenger, carrying some invisible important secret message along with it. In other words, steganography is a collection of cryptographic techniques that provide protection to the secret message by offering it the appearance of an image. In this survey paper, our focus is on the development and current status of steganographic techniques for grayscale images. We shall separately introduce schemes with high hiding capacities and schemes with high imperceptibility. The advantages and disadvantages of those schemes will be closely analyzed, offering directions for our future research efforts.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to introduce a class of new random generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear implicit quasi-variational inequalities, to construct new random iterative algorithms, and to give some existence theorems of random solutions for this class of random generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear implicit quasi-variational inequalities. We also prove the convergence of random iterative sequences generated by the algorithms. Our results extend and improve the earlier and recent results.
