Analysis of the Influence Factors of Differential Settlement of High Embankment in Mountain Area  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper reveals and analyses various influence factors which cause differential settlement of high embankment in mountain area using indoor consolidation test and field loading test. In this research, the actual stress characteristics of high embankment are simplified, stability compression value of stuffing with loads under lateral restricted conditions can be measured, e-p curves and p-s curves are drawn, we can calculate compression modulus as computation criteria to estimate the settlement of high embankment. The results indicate that unconsolidated flow of high embankment is the main factor to cause differential settlement of high embankment in mountain area. As the soil consolidated, compressive deformation and the strength gradually increase, the bearing capacity of the foundation is enhanced to reduce differential settlement of the post-construction of high embankment.
Impact of the Barents Sea SST in Autumn on the Winter Climate in Northeast China  [PDF]

Abstract: We studied effects of sea surface temperature anomaly (SSTA) in the Barents Sea in autumn on the atmospheric circulation in northeast China in winter, using the NCEP reanalysis data and sea surface temperature (SST) data of the Hadley Center. The results show that the ocean thermal conditions in the Barents Sea in autumn can be used as an important reference factor for predicting the cold air activity in China. When the sea surface temperature anomaly of the Barents Sea elevated in the autumn, the sea-level pressure anomaly elevated in eastern China on December, northeast China and southeastern Russia on January and February. In the years when the SSTA of the Barents Sea elevated in the autumn, the abnormal high-pressure ridge developed over Europe, and the geopotential height in western China appeared negative anomaly at 500 hPa. At 1000 hPa, the Mongolia high-pressure increased and the northerly airflow strengthened the cold high-latitude air broke out to the south, which was easy to affect northeast and north of China. In negative SSTA years, the high-pressure ridge was west to the north Atlantic, and the geopotential height in central and northern Siberia appeared negative anomaly at 500 hPa; the Mongolia high-pressure was weakened at 1000 hPa.
The determination of atmospheric phosphine in Ny- lesund

Abstract: Phoshpine (PH3), a volatile and toxic gas, has been proved to commonly exist in the environment. The determination of gaseous phosphine and its emission fluxes in Ny- lesund is reported in this paper. Results showed that gaseous phosphine exist in Arctic atmosphere commonly and the concentration of phosphine ranged from 16.3–600.2 ng/m3, with the maximum concentration of phosphine in tundra areas and the minimum in surface air of ocean. The concentration of phosphine ranged from 65.79–1259 ng/m3 in colliery atmosphere at different altitudes and the maximum was found in the center of colliery. Emission fluxes of phosphine were different in various Arctic areas. Emission fluxes of phosphine from protected areas, with average concentration of 32.13±5.353 ng m 2 h 1, were higher than from other areas. And the flux of phosphine from ocean was lower.
Fast intra-prediction mode selection algorithm for H.264/AVC

Abstract: This paper proposed a fast prediction mode selection algorithm based on measurement of direction prediction mode, by measuring the intra-prediction direction of 4×4 block, it used the correlation between neighboring blocks and neighboring direction prediction mode to predict the intra-frame mode. Experimental results show that compared with the full searching algorithm, this algorithm can save the encoding time up to 40% averagely when guarantee the capability of the rate distortion and the bits rate, and it improves the encoding efficiency tremendously.
A Comprehensive Facet Model for Bistatic SAR Imagery of Dynamic Ocean Scene

Abstract: A comprehensive facet model for bistatic synthetic aperture radar (Bis-SAR) imagery of dynamic ocean scene is presented in this paper. An efficient facet scattering model is developed to calculate the radar cross section (RCS) of the ocean surface for Bis-SAR firstly. Further more, this facet model is combined with a bistatic velocity bunching ($VB$) modulation of long ocean waves to obtain the Bis-SAR intensity expression in image plane of ocean scene. The displacement of the scatter elements in the image plane and the degradation of radar resolution in azimuth direction are quantificationally analyzed. Finally, Bis-SAR imagery simulations of ocean surface are illustrated, proving the validity and practicability of the presented algorithms.
Investigation on Doppler Spectral Characteristics of Electromagnetic Backscattered Echoes from Dynamic Nonlinear Surfaces of Finite-Depth Sea

Abstract: The Doppler spectral characteristics of electromagnetic backscattered echoes from dynamic nonlinear surfaces of finite-depth sea is investigated with the second-order small-slope approximation (SSA-II). The revised nonlinear hydrodynamic choppy wave model (CWM) combining with an experiment-verified shoaling coefficient is utilized to model the finite-depth sea wave profiles, and the simulated surfaces of finite-depth sea show steeper crests and more flat troughs as depth decreases. First, Comparison of the Doppler spectra for linear sea surfaces and nonlinear choppy sea surfaces shows that nonlinear hydrodynamic effect greatly enhances the Doppler shift and the Doppler spectrum bandwidth, and the predicted results agree well with the rigorous numerical model data. The Doppler spectra of backscattered echoes from finite-depth sea with different depths are further evaluated. At small incident angles, the Doppler shifts and the spectra bandwidths are much lower for shallower sea, and the opposite situation can be gradually observed for increased incident angles. This indicates that the nonlinear wave-wave interactions among waves occur more frequently in finite-depth sea and the long waves will be suppressed while shorter wind waves will be boosted in shallower water. Moreover, the dependence of the Doppler spectral characteristics on polarization is also discussed.
Radiative Leptonic B Decays in the Light Front Model

Abstract: Within the light front framework, we calculate the form factors for $B\to\gamma$ transitions directly in the entire physical range of momentum transfer. Using these form factors, we study the radiative decays of $B\to l\nu_l\gamma$ and $B_{s(d)}\to\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$. We show that the decay rates of $B\to l\nu_l\gamma (l=e,\mu)$ and $B\to\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ are larger than that of the corresponding purely leptonic modes. Explicitly, in the standard model, we find that the branching ratios of $B\to \mu\nu_{\mu}\gamma$ and $B_s\to\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ are $3.7\times 10^{-6}$ and $5.0\times 10^{-8}$, in contrast with $3\times 10^{-7}$ and 0 for $B\to\mu\nu_{\mu}$ and $B\to\nu\bar{\nu}$, respectively.
Study of $B_{s,d}\to l^+l^-γ$ Decays

Abstract: We study the decays of $B_{s,d} \to l^+ l^- \gamma (l=e, \mu,\tau)$ within the light-front model. We calculate the tensor type form factors and use these form factors to evaluate the decay branching ratios. We find that, in the standard model, the branching ratios of $B_{s(d)} \to \l^+ \l^- \gamma$ ($\l=e, \mu,\tau$) are $7.1\times 10^{-9}$ ($1.5\times 10^{-10}$), $8.3\times 10^{-9}$ ($1.8\times 10^{-10}$), $1.6\times 10^{-8}$ ($6.2\times 10^{-10}$), respectively.
Study of Radiative Leptonic D Meson Decays

Abstract: We study the radiative leptonic $D$ meson decays of $D^+_{(s)}\to \l^+\nu_{\l}\gamma$ ($\l=e,\mu,\tau$), $D^0\to \nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ and $D^0\to \l^+\l^-\gamma$ ($l=e,\mu$) within the light front quark model. In the standard model, we find that the decay branching ratios of $D^+_{(s)}\to e^+\nu_e\gamma$, $D^+_{(s)}\to\mu^+\nu_{\mu}\gamma$ and $D^+_{(s)}\to\tau^+\nu_{\tau}\gamma$ are $6.9\times 10^{-6}$ ($7.7\times 10^{-5}$), $2.5\times 10^{-5}$ ($2.6\times 10^{-4}$), and $6.0\times 10^{-6}$ ($3.2\times 10^{-4}$), and that of $D^0\to\l^+\l^-\gamma$ ($\l=e,\mu$) and $D^0\to\nu\bar{\nu}\gamma$ are $6.3\times 10^{-11}$ and $2.7\times 10^{-16}$, respectively.
Research on How to Deal with the Dilemma of Global Cooperative Governance of Cross-Border Telecom Network Fraud in China  [PDF]

Abstract: The rapid growth of cross-border telecom network fraud in the globalized information ocean and the economic tide has posed a threat to China and the global security and stability, and its governance is imminent. Under the analysis framework of global collaborative governance, this paper analyzes the external environmental factors and related internal governance factors, such as the background of cross-border telecom network fraud governance, which needs our attention. From the level of synergetic governance and the autonomy of the subject, the analysis of this paper draws a conclusion that cross-border telecom network fraud improvement is confronted with many dilemmas, for instance, the difficulty in reaching a consensus of values, the malconformation of legal norms, the high pressure of public opinion and the weakness of human nature. The paper puts forward the countermeasures based on Chinese perspective, from four aspects of value guidance, legal soundness, system regulation and technical complementation to work with all parties to manage the main forces, to combat and prevent cross-border telecommunications network fraud, achieving a good prospect of shared governance.
