Smadhi Hanen, Ben Jemai Emna, Diouani Mohamed Fethi, Abdennadhar Mahdi, Attia Monia, Ayadi-Kaddour Aida, Megdiche Mohamed Lamine
Open Journal of Respiratory Diseases (OJRD) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojrd.2018.83004
Abstract: Intrathoracic mesothelial cysts are congenital lesions due to an abnormal development of the pericardial coelom. They are generally unilocular and can develop in various sites. We describe a case of multicystic lesions in the anterior mediastinum of a 53-year-old woman discovered in a context of an encysted pleural effusion. Chest computed tomography (CT) scan revealed multiple cystic lesions in the anterior and posterior mediastinum. Surgery was carried out and histopathology and immunohistochemistry confirmed the diagnosis of multiple coelomic cysts of the mediastinum.

Open Journal of Respiratory Diseases (OJRD) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojrd.2018.83005
Abstract: Papilloma is a rare benign tumor. Laryngeal location is the most frequent. The bronchial involvement remains unusual. It represents 0.38% of pulmonary tumors. We report the case of a 39-year-old, smoker man, who consulted for a cough following during six months with persistent radiological opacity despite antibiotic treatment. The physical examination was without particularities. Flexible bronchoscopy revealed a swollen endobronchial lesion completely obstructing the orifice of the intermediate trunk. Bronchial biopsies at this level showed inflammatory mucosa. The chest CT scan objectified an endobronchial tissular mass in the intermediate trunk. Pulmonary neoplasia was suspected. Diagnostic and therapeutic surgery was performed. Histopathological examination concluded to an endobronchial squamous papilloma.
Classification of Attacks in Wireless Sensor Networks
Mohamed-Lamine Messai
Computer Science , 2014,
Abstract: In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), security has a vital importance. Recently, there was a huge interest to propose security solutions in WSNs because of their applications in both civilian and military domains. Adversaries can launch different types of attacks, and cryptography is used to countering these attacks. This paper presents challenges of security and a classification of the different possible attacks in WSNs. The problems of security in each layer of the network's OSI model are discussed.
Mechanical, Microstructural and Mineralogical Analyses of Porous Clay Pots Elaborated with Rice Husks  [PDF]
Yeri Dah-Traoré, Lamine Zerbo, Mohamed Seynou, Raguilnaba Ouedraogo
Journal of Minerals and Materials Characterization and Engineering (JMMCE) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jmmce.2018.63019
Abstract: This paper deals with the elaboration of porous ceramic pots with raw clay materials and rice husks for water filtration. The basic raw clays have been mixed with rice husks at different ratio 10% and 15% weight (wt) and sintering at 1200°C, 1300°C and 1400°C for 30 minutes. The elaborated pots have been tested for their densification properties and filtration flow. The mineralogy and microstructure of pot have been also studied to explain the different results. The pot with 10% wt rice husks and sintering at 1300°C during 30 minutes presents a sufficient porosity and mechanical strength to be used for water filtration.

Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society , 2006, DOI: 10.1155/ddns/2006/52682
Abstract: This work is an extension of the survey on Cayley's problem in case where the conjugate gradient method is used. We show that for certain values of parameters, this method produces beautiful fractal structures.
Foreign Direct Investment Effect on Economic Growth: Evidence from Guinea Republic in West Africa
Keita Mohamed Lamine,Dakai Yang
International Journal of Financial Research , 2010, DOI: 10.5430/ijfr.v1n1p49
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to understand the contribution of Foreign Direct Investment on Guinea Republic’s Economic growth. The Granger Causality Test is used to study the relationship between FDI and Economic Growth proxies. Our results show that the level of FDI is still low in order to promote economic growth for the Guinea Republic. Indeed, the Granger Causality Test demonstrated that the GDP can promote the level of foreign direct investment, which means that if the level of GDP increases in Guinea, FDI will also follow. Some other factors as EMPLOYMENT can promote FDI, thus the Guinean government has to play the key role of employment promotion to attract investments from abroad. In other way, we found also that school enrollment can increase the GDP and indirectly the FDI. Actually, the economic situation of Guinea has to be ameliorating by policies and regulations, which can attract and protect investors, even to attract Guinean Diaspora’s investment.
Formulation and Nutritional Quality of Extruded Weaning Food Supplemented with Whole Egg Powder
Mohamed Lamine Bangoura,Huiming Zhou
American Journal of Food Technology , 2007,
Abstract: Sample of extruded high protein weaning foods were formulated at different ratios using blends of rice, soybean, carrot, whole egg and maltodextrin to achieve the desire level of protein. The extruded based on pre-roast mix of the raw seeds with whole egg and maltodextrin were developed and characterized in terms of the hot paste viscosity chemical and nutritional quality, amino acid composition, nitrogen solubility and sensory. Comparative evaluations of the three extruded products were undertaken on the commercial weaning food and the national standards of China GB 10770-1997. In general, the extruded products were found to have better nutritional quality as indicated by the high protein content 17.16, 18.38 and 18.05%, respectively for formulations TWF1, TWF2 and TWF3 and quality. They had also excellent physical properties and sensory of the three local extruded weaning foods. However, the seeds treatment was found to reduce the quality characteristics of the extruded products.

Open Journal of Gastroenterology (OJGas) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojgas.2012.24041
Abstract: Trichobezoars are an infrequent form of bezoars formed from ingested hair. They are more common in adolescent females with history of trichotillomania. Exceptionally, it can occur in young children making the diagnosis difficult. We report the case of a 6-year-old girl with a history of abdominal pain, distension, weight loss, and attacks of vomiting. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed a trichobezoar occupying almost the whole gastric cavity. The gastric bezoar was removed by surgery. Gastric trichobezoar is exceptional in young children and can lead to stunting and gastric outlet obstruction. After definitive surgical or endoscopic treatment, pediatric psychiatric consultation should be opted for any mental disorder and for prevention of further recurrence.
On the Capability of Artificial Neural Networks to Compensate Nonlinearities in Wavelength Sensing
Mohamed Lamine Hafiane,Zohir Dibi,Otto Manck
Sensors , 2009, DOI: 10.3390/s90402884
Abstract: An intelligent sensor for light wavelength readout, suitable for visible range optical applications, has been developed. Using buried triple photo-junction as basic pixel sensing element in combination with artificial neural network (ANN), the wavelength readout with a full-scale error of less than 1.5% over the range of 400 to 780 nm can be achieved. Through this work, the applicability of the ANN approach in optical sensing is investigated and compared with conventional methods, and a good compromise between accuracy and the possibility for on-chip implementation was thus found. Indeed, this technique can serve different purposes and may replace conventional methods.
