A forma??o do professor em face das violências das/nas escolas
Gomes, Candido Alberto;Pereira, Marlene Monteiro;
Cadernos de Pesquisa , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-15742009000100010
Abstract: the unveiling of violence from/at schools has led to the development of research on initial and continued teacher education. some analyze the professional socialization of teachers and find issues such as the new faces of the "reality shock" by teachers. thus, an investigation on the perceptions of teachers on types of violence and on their own preparedness for teaching has been conducted. the results, obtained by means of focus groups carried out with teachers, confirm the perception that they are not prepared to experience the practice of teaching, even if gradually. among the proposals presented by participants, we should point out the construction of a more adequate gradient between theory and practice, the more practical nature of courses and the development of the capacity to find solutions without ready recipes.

Abstract: this study highlights the teaching of care in nursing graduation according to the complexity theory, supported by edgar morin. this is a qualitative study using thematic content analysis. twelve individual semi-structured interviews were performed at a private university in the city of s?o paulo, brazil. data collection was performed between 2004 and 2005, using a guiding question. data analysis revealed categories, herein referred to as complex pedagogical indicators, which assigned meanings to complex care. results showed that the interviewees realized and expressed sensitive care in nursing, making relations and interrelations of the parts with the whole and the whole with the parts, thus approaching complex care.
Non-Vitamin K Antagonist Oral Anticoagulants: Redefining the Role of the Nurse to Improve Patient Care  [PDF]
Marlene Robinson
Open Journal of Nursing (OJN) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ojn.2015.512121
Abstract: Thromboembolic disorders and their associated long-term complications place a burden on patients, healthcare systems and society. Non-vitamin K antagonist (VKA) oral anticoagulants (OACs), including rivaroxaban, dabigatran, apixaban and edoxaban, are effective for the prevention of stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and for the treatment and secondary prevention of venous thromboembolism. The increasing uptake of the non-VKA OACs in primary care lessens the burden of care and allows for an easier transition of treatment from hospital to home. This transformation in terms of patient management has resulted in the need to empower nurses working in this field to endorse management strategies with a focus on patient education and long-term management (i.e. assessment of compliance, scheduling follow-up visits). Management of both venous thromboembolism and stroke prevention in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation requires a multidisciplinary team approach and, looking to the future, nurses are likely to have a key role at the heart of the thrombosis team. This review aims to provide nurses with the confidence to manage patients with thromboembolic disorders, and highlights the importance of responsible non-VKA OAC use and the impact that this can have on improving patient care and outcomes.
Fenomenologia-hermenêutica de Paul Ricoeur como referencial metodológico numa pesquisa de ensino em enfermagem
Terra, Marlene Gomes;Gon?alves, Lucia Hisako Takase;Santos, Evangelia Kotzias Altherino dos;Erdmann, Alacoque Lourenzini;
Acta Paulista de Enfermagem , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-21002009000100016
Abstract: to describe the use of paul rocoeur's hermeneutic-phenomenology philosophy arguments to guide the thesis, entitled "meanings of awareness for being a nursing faculty in regards to the teaching, learning, and practicing nursing in light of maurice merleau-ponty's phenomenology." a phenomenological approach was used to guide this qualitative study. this approach is appropriate to unveil subjective aspects of interest through interviews. the openness, flexibility, and subjectivity of the responses of the study's participants allowed the identification of categories that suggest meanings of awareness of being a nursing faculty. the findings of this educational nursing research suggest that this referential of awareness of being a nursing faculty is important because it was based on creative and challenging ontological approach of the researcher.
Saúde mental: do velho ao novo paradigma - uma reflex?o
Terra, Marlene Gomes;Ribas, Dorotéa Loes;Sarturi, Fernanda;Erdmann, Alacoque Lorenzini;
Escola Anna Nery , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-81452006000400013
Abstract: the text develops unchained ideas from theoretical reflections and the authors' experiences before the historical comprehension of the psychiatry and some desinstitucionalization key points with the objective of to glimpse possibilities of a new paradigm where the human being can be seeing as a citizen in suffering and no more as a person with a disease. due to the changes in the area of psychiatry, the nursing searched a place in a way to offer a more humanized attendance based on the principles of the psychiatry reform. it is necessary to think about our practices under a human, sensitive, reflexive, critic and creative perspective recognizing the specificity and the objectivity of each human being which we interact with. therefore, the nursing needs to rethink its knowledge and its practices revaluing its attitude, posture, work in group and ethics.
Mundo da vida da mulher que tem HIV/AIDS no cotidiano da (im)possibilidade de amamentar
Padoin, Stela Maris de Mello;Terra, Marlene Gomes;Souza, ívis Emília de Oliveira;
Escola Anna Nery , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-81452011000100003
Abstract: this paper aimed to present the understanding of the life-world of woman with acquired immunodeficiency virus in the daily life of the (im)possibility of breastfeeding. it is a qualitative research in the phenomenological approach which was developed in a teaching hospital in the southern brazil. the phenomenological interview and the heidegger's analysis method were carried out. founds pointed out that the women showed themselves as a being thrown in the world-with-the-other. this world is described by them with familiarity in the way-of-being of life experience, of to be alone, of impersonality. in conclusion, in the care-world, the possibility to help them in this lived-situation will occur from these understandings. it is to help them to face the diagnosis implications in order to develop a helpful care.
Auditory hypersensitivity in children and teenagers with autistic spectrum disorder
Gomes, Erissandra;Rotta, Newra T.;Pedroso, Fleming S.;Sleifer, Pricila;Danesi, Marlene C.;
Arquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0004-282X2004000500011
Abstract: objective: to verify if the clinical behavior of auditory hypersensitivity, reported in interviews with parents/caregivers and therapists/teachers of 46 children and teenagers suffering from autistic spectrum disorder, correspond to audiological findings. method: the clinical diagnosis for auditory hypersensitivity was investigated by means of an interview. subsequently, a test of the acoustic stapedial reflex was conducted, and responses to intense acoustic stimulus in open field were observed. results: of the 46 subjects, 11 (23.9%) were clinically diagnosed as oversensitive to sound and only 2 showed discomfort when exposed to intense acoustic stimulus in open field. there was no statistically significant difference for the test of the ipsilateral acoustic stapedial reflex between the groups. conclusion: behavioral manifestations to sounds are not associated to hypersensitivity of the auditory pathways, but instead these are associated to difficulties in the upper processing, involving systems that usually are impaired in autistic spectrum patients, such as the limbic system.
Variabilidade espacial de MO, P, K e CTC do solo sob diferentes usos e manejos
Cavalcante, Eloiza Gomes Silva;Alves, Marlene Cristina;Pereira, Gener Tadeu;Souza, Zigomar Menezes de;
Ciência Rural , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-84782007000200015
Abstract: the study of the spatial variability of the chemical attributes of the soils is particularly important in areas where the soil is submitted to different management. this work was developed in selvíria (ms) with the objective of evaluating the spatial variability of the organic matter (mo), phosphorus (p), potassium (k) and cation exchange capacity (cec) in a oxisol under different use and management conditions. the soils were collected in a grid, with regular intervals of 2m, total of 64 points, in the depths of 0,0-0,1m and 0,1-0,2m, in the use and management were: native vegetation (savannah), no-tillage, conventional system and pasture. the system of no-tillage presented significant accumulation of organic matter, phosphorus, potassium and elevation of cec in relation to the other studied systems, besides the improvement in the chemical conditions of the soil, the organic matter was larger in relation to the natural system. the largest variabilities measured through the variation coefficient, they were observed for the phosphorus and potassium, and the organic matter and cec presented medium variation coefficient in the different uses and management of the soil.
