Qualidade do percolado de solos que receberam vinha?a em diferentes doses e tempo de incuba??o
Brito, Fabio L.;Rolim, Mario M.;Silva, Jose A. A. da;Pedrosa, Elvira M. R.;
Revista Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola e Ambiental , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-43662007000300012
Abstract: the objective of this study was to evaluate the quality of percolation from three soil classes that received vinasse doses with different incubation times. the soils, classified as haplic nitosol, yellow argisol and carbic spodosol, were reproduced in twenty-seven 20 × 110 cm pvc columns (diameter × height) with horizons, thickness and densities similar to original soil. the soils were treated with vinasse doses equivalent to 0 (control), 350 and 700 m3 ha-1, and submitted to 30 and 60 days incubation. the collected effluents were analyzed for bod5, cod, ec, tds and ph. the results indicated that variations in the analyzed parameters, due to vinasse application in the soil, do not bring concerns in relation to environmental quality. despite different textures and consequently, different physiochemical properties, the comparison of percolates with natural vinasse data indicated that the soils presented high retention power, reducing the possibility of this waste causing pollution to the subsurface waters.

Abstract: studies had been developed to project and to adapt the injector of the main burner of water heater accumulated type of 75 l. the diameter of the injector was project in function of the pressure of service of 100 mm h2o and inferior calorific power of biogas of 21,600 kj m-3 n, having guaranteed the maintenance of the calorific power of the equipment of 20,900 of kj h-1 .the results had demonstrated that the adapted burner to operate with biogas operated adequately with a steady flame. the average efficiency of the heater was of 68%, for a thermal profit of 36.7 oc, corresponding the final temperature of the water of 62.7 oc being consumed 0.796 m3 n of biogas, heating 75 l of water in 72 minutes.

Bragantia , 1992, DOI: 10.1590/S0006-87051992000100012
Abstract: flat solar collectors were tested for the control of sclerotium rolfsii, rhizoctonia solani, verticiuium sp., meloidogyne arenaria and cyperus rotundus (nut sedge). the equipment developed comprises, basically, gutters of aluminum with termic liner of glass wool and transparent plastic cover. the results showed that, depending upon the solar radiation, one day is required for the disinfestations of substrate infested with s. rolfsii and nut sedge, and two days for r. solani, verticillium sp. and m. arenaria.

Abstract: the aim of this study was to evaluate, histopathologically, the effectiveness of mechanical preparation of root canals using different irrigating solutions in dog teeth filled with lps after pulpectomy. a total of 120 root canals of 6 mongrel dogs were filled with a solution of lps after pulpectomy. the irrigating solutions used were saline, 1, 2.5, and 5% sodium hypochlorite, and 2% chlorhexidine. no irrigation was used in the control group. the animals were sacrificed after 60 days and the teeth were fixed and demineralized. subsequently, serial 6-μm sections were stained with hematoxylin and eosin and mallory's trichrome for histopathological analysis and brown-brenn for verification of bacterial contamination. analysis showed that the inflammatory infiltrate was statistically less intense in the groups in which the root canals were irrigated with 5% sodium hypochlorite and 2% chlorhexidine. however, none of the irrigating solutions completely inactivated the harmful effects of lps. mechanical preparation associated with different irrigating solutions did not completely inactivate lps.

Abstract: the antifungal drugs are classified in classic and current chemical agents and in antibiotics. the chemists classic agents are those medicines that present in a general way reduced action spectrum against fungi, having a fungistatic effect in an indirect way when modifying the local conditions, as for instance the iodine, acids fat and derived, acid salicilic, tolnaftate and tolciclate. the current chemical agents are represented by imidazole and triazole, flucytosine and allylamines and the antibiotics represented by the polyene (amphotericin b, nystatin and natamycin) and the griseofulvin. the discretion of each antifungal drug will be presented in the work.

Abstract: As drogas antifúngicas s o classificadas em agentes químicos clássicos e atuais e em antibióticos.

Abstract: the abundance and aggregation of eggs of aedes aegypti l. and aedes albopictus skuse was evaluated in the municipalities of cambé, ibipor?, jacarezinho, maringá and paranavaí, in the state of paraná, brazil by means of oviposition traps. of the 225 installed traps, 100 were registered as positive for eggs; 4140 eggs were collected, thus demonstrating an highly aggregate distribution. both species were registered in cambé, jacarezinho, maringá and paranavaí. ae. albopictus was generally less abundant and was not present in ibipor? nor in the oviposition traps of a second collection of maringá. the relation between sexes for ae. aegypti was approximately 1:1. in the comparison of the number of adults collected between the two species, a negative correlation was obtained in the samples of maringá and cambé, what was attributed the seasonality of these populations. the coexistence of these species indicates that both are under pressure by the control programs, therefore specific evaluations are necessary.

Silva, Francisco de A. S. e;Duarte, Maria E. M.;Cavalcanti-Mata, Mario E. R. M.;
Engenharia Agrícola , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-69162010000500018
Abstract: the methods now used, for accomplishment of sensorial analysis, do not translate the results satisfactorily. because of this problem, it was analyzed the possibility of introducing a factor that measures the agreement index of the tasters on a particular aspect analyzed. to validate this coefficient, the agreement coefficient among the sensory analysis tasters had been evaluated using three different annona samples; one consisting only of the annona juice (without milk) and the other with different concentrations of juice / milk (mass percentage). this evaluation was accomplished by the analysis of main components (acp) and by the new methodology also proposed by the authors, with base in the definition of the standard deviation, applied to the absolute frequencies of the tasters' notes, for each studied sensorial property. with this methodology it was defined a relation for calculation of an agreement measure among the tasters, denominated of agreement coefficient, which can assume values from 0 to 100%. finally, it was concluded that such methodology is more suitable than acp, in the evaluation of the agreement among the tasters in the sensorial analysis, since that methodology results in a measure of the agreement degree and it allows comparisons that are not possible being used acp.
