A New Approach to the Optimization of the CVRP through Genetic Algorithms  [PDF]
Mariano Frutos, Fernando Tohmé
American Journal of Operations Research (AJOR) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ajor.2012.24058
Abstract: This paper presents a new approach to the analysis of complex distribution problems under capacity constraints. These problems are known in the literature as CVRPs (Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problems). The procedure introduced in this paper optimizes a transformed variant of a CVRP. It starts generating feasible clusters and codifies their ordering. In the next stage the procedure feeds this information into a genetic algorithm for its optimization. This makes the algorithm independent of the constraints and improves its performance. Van Breedam problems have been used to test this technique. While the results obtained are similar to those in other works, the processing times are longer.

Minisuíno (minipig) na pesquisa biomédica experimental: o Minipig br1
Mariano, Mario;
Acta Cirurgica Brasileira , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-86502003000500003
Abstract: different species of vertebrate and invertebrate animals have been used in experimental investigation. in this report a brief review on the use of swine in biomedical research and the similarities of the anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and immunology of this specie with those of man is presented. it is also reviewed the development in the 60th of the minipig and the achievements obtained with this animal model in distinct areas of experimental medicine. finally, the basic characteristics of a colony of minipigs developed by the author are described. the conditions these animals are feed, housed, vaccinated and breed are described. they weight from 10-15 kilos when six months of age and from 30-37 kilos with 11 months of age. the possible contribution of this animal model for the development of experimental surgery and other areas of animal experimentation in this country is discussed.
Abstract: in mid 2007 three social organizations in mendoza started a common organizational process to defend the grounds of the former central station of the ferrocarril gral. san martín (general san martín railway) as a public space, currently abandoned after its closure. confronted with new projects of private investment, mainly related to real estate, these organizations united in common struggle under the slogans "no to the private use of public land" and "participative planning and management for the use of these lands". in this article the experience of one such collective--the railway collective--is reconstructed. the aim is to ascertain the viewpoint of the collective on the conflict, examining their experiences and historical memory to track the traditions and political practices that allowed them to shape the space as common property. territory has become one of the key areas of dispute; the process of spatialization of class struggle entails the progressive privatization of all things public and common, including territory. the notion of common property is essential in order to think from a counter-hegemonic perspective. hence, the importance of probing the railway workers' experiences and recognizing, in their praxis, the elements that allow us to carry out an against the grain reading of privatization and commoditization as the sole purpose of life.
Abstract: in this paper the construction of bolivian identity in olavarría, buenos aires province, argentina, is examined through the analysis of festivities as expressions of intangible cultural heritage. underlying processes of identity construction are analyzed, particularly as manifested in the annual celebration in honor of the virgen de copacabana, in order to understand how social actors set in motion elements of their heritage in such celebrations. these processes, far from being univocal, are permeated with present-day conflicts and a diversity of views about the past.
Abstract: this paper presents the results of investigations carried out in the mid-south tandilia mountain range, between the towns of san manuel (lobería district) and barker (b. juárez district). the archaeological research was focused on understanding the ways in which pampean hunters-gatherers obtained raw material in the study area, especially in relation to the sierras bayas group ortho quarzites. based on a series of systematic surveys, including analyses at various scales, evidence shows that the area of raw material procurement is significantly larger than was previously considered. in addition, possible new procurement modalities, previously unknown in the region, were identified.
Abstract: of the mammals from archaeological sites in chaco province, myocastor coypus constituted an important subsistence resource for the human groups that inhabited the area of esteros, ca?adas and selvas de ribera in the late holocene. the aim of this paper is to present the results of materials studies relating to m. coypus from the archaeological sites of el cachapé potrero 5 and sotelo 1 (primero de mayo department, chaco province). chronologically, these sites are located between 1200 and 1690 years bp. the nisp was 7,868 and 4,412 and the mni 251 and 259 for potrero v and sotelo i, respectively, accounting for 84% and 77.1% of all specimens recovered from the two archaeological sites. in addition to quantitative analysis, age profiles and osseous, anthropogenic, and natural modifications were analyzed, identifying the various taphonomic agents that influenced the formation of the samples. m. coypus was of great importance to the subsistence of human groups that inhabited the region. such groups took full advantage of the rodent, using them not only as a food resource but also as a raw material for the manufacture of bone tools and probably also for their hides.
Abstract: this work presents the results of a comparative analysis between two field records of two ceremonies observed in schools of the police of the province of buenos aires during the school cycle 2008-2009. following the comparative offer of fredrik barth, the construction of pertinent dimensions of variation for the proposed cases and the correlation of the same ones, they allow to demonstrate institutional dynamics executed for the construction of the police subjects so much as the dispute among the agents for imposing certain police subjectivity. reached to understand to these schools, in its complexity, as spaces crossed by conflicts and divisions, on the base of a common matrix that is used as value when the circumstances require it.
El Hombre Fósil de Miramar
Intersecciones en antropolog?-a , 2002,
Abstract: in this paper, the discoveries that took place during archaeological investigations near the town of miramar on the atlantic coast of buenos aires province during the first decades of the twentieth century are examined. these archaeological discoveries are analyzed based on the reading of the scientific publications, documents and the consultation of contemporary newspapers. beginning with the archaeological discoveries of florentino ameghino, the coast of buenos aires became of interest in relation to the establishment of the early human occupation. subsequently, investigations at miramar intensified in an atmosphere of strong polemic, which ranged from the defense of a human presence in tertiary periods to the complete rejection of the fossil finds on the grounds that they were frauds and forgeries. the expeditions to miramar were the subjects of numerous newspaper articles. as such, readers were made aware of the discoveries that were made in argentinean territory. paralleling the academic side of the debate, an environment for public discussion existed through the popular media and literature. in such reports, the 'fossil man' topic was aligned along national lines, tying the interpretation of the past with the contemporary nationalist movement.
