Clínica da atividade e cartografia: construindo metodologias de análise do trabalho
Teixeira, Danielle Vasconcelos;Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822009000100010
Abstract: the issues raised in this article were incited by experiences lived in the last years in studies that take as principle that health and work, as scientific research objects, have specificities that can not be considered from exterritoriality positions, regarding the relationship between the researcher and the object being investigated. issues about work can not be based only on analytical views in a distant way of the complexity engendered where work happens. this article proposes a methodological direction of research that articulates research and intervention in a direction to dialogue, to the interchange between different knowledges - disciplinary or not - in order to strengthen strategies used by workers to deal with the variability of work situations. with that purpose, it brings the contribution of the clinic of activity as an important methodological tool.

Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;Teixeira, Danielle Vasconcelos;Arag?o, Elizabeth Maria Andrade;
Psicologia USP , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-65642008000400010
Abstract: this study mapped the strategies of resistance constructed by professors front to a harmful work, objectifying to to fortify these forms of confrontations and to collaborate for the transformation of the factors that intervene with the health of these educators. we mapped these movements that are put in functioning in school by means of: institutional experience, interviews, a construction of a diary, questionnaires, photography and confrontation of the results in the collective of workers. we perceive that although all the adversities, the teachers are not left to paralyze and they create proper strategies, new forms to make their work, searching less harmful conditions for their life. by making public these forms of confrontation, this research fortify the creative process of these workers and, at the same time, makes the results allow to the educators the accomplishment of quarrels on the bred strategies front to the adversities, making visible these forms of fight and fortifying the transformation of this reality.
Procurando outros paradigmas para a educa??o

Educa??o & Sociedade , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302000000300003
Abstract: this article, inspired by the proposal of deleuze and guattari , analyses the educational practices supported by the scientific model. it proposes other educational sense directions and dimensions based on the ethical/esthetic/politic principle, according to m. authier's and p. levy's "tree knowledge" as a way to construct knowledge communities, refusing the traditional educational scientificism.
Prenatal Curcumin Administration Reverses Behavioral and Neurochemical Effects and Decreases iNOS and COX-2 Expressions in Ischemic Rat Pups
Maria Valéria Leimig Telles,Maria Elizabeth Pereira Nobre,Lucas Parente Alencar,Keicy Parente de Siqueira,Ada Maria Farias Sousa Borges,Márnya Wellysa Leite Tavares,Isabelle Bernardo Alves,Lara Soares Duarte,Natália Kelly Rodrigues de Lacerda,Glaura Fernandes Teixeira de Alcantara,Débora Amado Scerni,Kelly Rose Tavares Neves,Glauce Socorro de Barros Viana
International Journal of Brain Science , 2014, DOI: 10.1155/2014/907581
Abstract: The objectives were to evaluate alterations in ischemic rat pups, from dams administered with curcumin (25 and 50?mg/kg). Ten-day-old male pups were subjected or not (SO) to brain ischemia and reperfusion, for 1, 7, and 14 days (this last group was submitted to behavioral evaluation). After that, pups were euthanized for determinations of striatal DA and DOPAC in SO, ischemic from untreated (ICUD) or curcumin treated (ICTD) dams, as well as hippocampal immunohistochemistry assays for iNOS and COX-2 and cresyl violet staining. At the 14th postischemia day, the ICUD group showed increased locomotor activity and rearing behavior, which were reversed in ICTD animals. ICUD pups presented decreased striatal DA and DOPAC levels, relatively to SO, mainly at the 1st postischemia day, but also at the 7th and 14th days which were partially reversed in ICTD pups. A greater number of viable neurons were observed in ICTD, as related to the ICUD group. Ischemia increased iNOS and COX-2 expressions, in CA1 and CA3 areas, at the 1st, 7th, and 14th postischemia days, and these effects were minimized in ICTD pups. In conclusion, the prenatal curcumin treatment was shown to be neuroprotective where the drug anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects probably play a role. 1. Introduction Cerebral ischemia is a very common cerebrovascular disease and one leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, whose complex pathology includes inflammatory events, as aggregation of inflammatory cells and upregulation of cytokines [1]. Furthermore, hypoxic-ischemic brain damage is a major cause of acute mortality and chronic neurologic morbidity, in infants and children. Much of our understanding on mechanisms of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage and potential therapeutic interventions derive from experimental models in the adult animal. It is accepted that a cerebral hypoxic-ischemic event of sufficient severity to deplete tissue energy reserves is rapidly followed by acidosis, glutamate excitotoxicity, generation of reactive oxygen species, and oxidative stress, followed by prolonged periods of delayed cell death and inflammation [2]. However, direct application of adult brain findings to the newborn animal is not a simple task, since the immature brain is generally considered resistant to the damaging effects of hypoxia and ischemia. At the same time, the immature brain exhibits periods of heightened sensitivity to injury, dependent upon the brain specific developmental stage [2]. Cerebral ischemia causes disturbances in a variety of cellular and molecular mechanisms, including
Humaniza??o do cuidado em saúde: de tecnicismos a uma ética do cuidado
Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;Gomes, Rafael da Silveira;
Fractal : Revista de Psicologia , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-02922011000300013
Abstract: health care has been the theme of several debates and there many different ideas related to it. there are many productions towards this topic and the demand for a "humanized health care" is strong. this paper analyzes the "humanized health care" questioning the ideas of human, health and care, as well as the practices in health. we propose an idea of health care which emerges in the encounter of the different actors who attend health centers, in a relationship where the other is understood as a legitimate, founding a transdisciplinary clinic that produces deviations, changes, subjects and ways of life.
Gilles Deleuze, clínico da atividade filosófica: paradoxo do filósofo trabalhador
Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;Zamboni, Jésio;
Fractal : Revista de Psicologia , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-02922012000300010
Abstract: gilles deleuze (1925-1995) is approached as worker philosopher, a builder of concepts. philosophy is defined as a productive activity in the capitalist context, which implies the militancy of the philosopher. this struggle takes place by analyzing the philosophical activity as a means of interference in production processes followed by the clinic of philosophical work, a departure developed out of the analytic ruptures. it discusses the composition of the collective of work and the maintenance of the genre of activity in philosophy by deleuze. the intercession with the teaching activity appears crucial. specific situations addressed by deleuze in his philosophy are treated: drugs, literature, madness.
Entre prescri??es e singulariza??es: o trabalho em vias da cria??o
Fonseca, Tania Mara Galli da;Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;
Fractal : Revista de Psicologia , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-02922010000100008
Abstract: the present text focuses on the need of making visible the multiple industrious activities actualized by workers in a ruled and ordered labor environment, considering the "dramas of self usage" as formulators of possible creations. it questions the unceasing tension between instituted and instituting as the constitutive paradox of labor relations. it discusses what is happening in labor processes relying on some ergology's concepts and on the work of michel foucault. it formulates a view on labor worlds nowadays, what allows us to think of them as daily struggle for ways of living that affirms life as a creator trend.
A pesquisa em psicologia: construindo outros planos de análise
Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;Lucero, Nelson Alves;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822005000200002
Abstract: this text attempts to trace a theoretical frame to discuss some aspects about the manner in which the research in psychology is placed nowadays and the effects produced in the political/ subjective plan, given the inseparability of these plans. it offers a certain point of view on the knowledge issue, from some methodological references that question the rationality in which human sciences are supported, based on a logic that pursues unquestionable truths about an already given reality. this work proposes new questions about the production of knowledge that may reorient research practices in the psychology field, because every conception of production of knowledge/research always involves a certain politics, not having just one methodological and/or technological meaning.
Dor-desprazer-trabalho docente: como desfazer essa tríade
Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;Louzada, Ana Paula;
Psicologia USP , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-65642007000400002
Abstract: this paper presents an experience of the investigation and formation program on health and work of public school teachers, developed at the federal university of espírito santo. it brings into question the health of all the teachers who work in public schools in serra, a city in the state of espírito santo, aiming to undo the triad "pain-displeasure-teaching work" experienced by the teaching-body. this work intends to advance the comprehension of the health-work relations at schools, and it also intends to investigate the strategies used by these workers when resisting the attempts to disqualify teaching work. it states the possibility of opening spaces for discussion in the daily lives of teachers so that the struggle for health becomes a cooperative net between subjects and schools in order to inaugurate other forms of performance in those establishments. thus, this paper proposes a methodology of work which has been based on the ergologic approach, built at provence university in aix/france.
Saúde, trabalho e processos de subjetiva??o nas escolas
Minayo-Gomez, Carlos;Barros, Maria Elizabeth Barros de;
Psicologia: Reflex?o e Crítica , 2002, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-79722002000300018
Abstract: this article deals with the concept of subjectivity as related to health care practices. its starting point is the hypothesis that the concept of subjectivity, which predominates in the view of health care workers, is not in accordance with the present and assumptions of renewal of concepts and practices. its aim is to argue for the collective nature of the processes of production of subjectivity, and against the individualistic, objectified, a priori nature of practices of psychology and related areas. a thorough defense of the transformations in these practices is proposed based on the interrelationship between work management and the processes of subjectivization following m. foucault's philosophical premises and the french tradition ergology. in the light of the arguments, the importance of researching the interrelationship between work management, health care and the current processes of subjectivization can be confirmed. the subject of this analysis is the brazilian public school system.
