Abstract: Em um primeiro momento, este artigo procura reconstruir historicamente o processo de conforma o da profiss o docente, desde uma a o vocacional até sua configura o como prática intencional e planejada, e sua possível profissionaliza o. Em um segundo momento, discute as reformas educacionais implementadas nas últimas décadas doséculo XX e seu impacto na atua o do professor. As diretrizes neoconservadoras intensificaram a proletariza o do trabalho docente, que, seja do estado ou do setor educativo privado, tem a responsabilidade de contribuir para o sucesso das reformas, porémem um ambito caracterizado por desqualifica o de seu trabalho, forma o deficiente, baixos salários, desprestígio social da profiss o e, às vezes, manipula o ideológica. At first, this article aims to reconstruct historically the conformation process of the teaching profession, which goes from a vocational action to the configuration of an intentional and plannedpractice, and its possible professionalization. Secondly, it discusses the educational reforms implemented in the last decades of the 20th century and their impacts on the teaching profession. The neo-conservatives directives intensified the proletarization of teaching work, which, either public or from the private educational sector is responsible for contributing to the sucess of the reforms, although in a dimension characterized by disqualification of this line of work, deficient education, low salaries, lack of social prestige for the profession and sometimes ideological manipulation.

Abstract: O artigo discute as contribui es de Condorcet (1743-1794) sobre a educa o pública. Esse intelectual participou da Revolu o Francesa e colaborou para estabelecer as bases doutrinárias do sistema educativo burguês e definir o projeto educativo liberal republicano, baseado nos postulados teóricos e ideológicos da Ilustra o e dos filósofosiluministas que influenciaram o pensamento pedagógico contemporaneo. Para tanto, analisam-se várias fontes documentais escritas por Condorcet. Inicialmente, o Relatório e Projeto de Decreto sobre a Organiza o Geral da Instru o Pública, apresentado à AssembléiaNacional, em nome do Comitê de Instru o Pública (1792). Além desse texto, também s o analisados outros documentos breves, em que o autor insiste na necessidade de se instaurar a instru o pública na República, tais como: a) Sobre as Assembléias Provinciais (1788); b) Postscriptum (1788); c) o discurso pronunciado à Assembléia Nacional em nome da Academia das Ciências (1790); d) Apresenta o Geral da Biblioteca do Homem Público (1790); e) Sobre a Necessidade daInstru o Pública (1793). Nas fontes analisadas, observa-se a insistência na forma o moral do homem e da mulher, percebida como uma uni o radical entre a raz o e a moral vivenciada, alicer ada no princípio da autonomia e independência absoluta de qualquer influência, seja religiosa ou do poder político. Nos escritos, prop e-se que todos os cidad os tenham acesso a uma instru o gratuita em todos os níveis, com o intuito de se oferecer forma o física, intelectual e moral para ambos os sexos. The contributions of Condorcet (1743-1794) on public education are discussed. Condorcet, an intellectual who participated in the French Revolution, established the doctrinal basis of the bourgeois education system and the Republican liberal educational project based on the Illustration theoretical and ideological premises and on the Enlightenment philosophers who influenced contemporary pedagogical thought. Condorcet’s document “Report and Draft Decree on the General Organization of Public Instruction,” submitted to the National Assembly on behalf of the Committee on Public Education (1792), is analyzed. Other shorter documents, such as (a) On Provincial Assemblies (1788); (b) Post-scriptum (1788); (c) the speech given to the National Assembly on behalf of the National Academy of Sciences (1790); (d) Overview of the Public Man’s Library (1790); (e) On the Need of Public Education (1793), in which the author stresses the need to establish public education in the Republic, are also analyzed. Abstract: Labour market has gained increasing protagonism in recent political debates, economic and media to explain the high rates of unemployment and the difficulties in recovering the path of economic growth in the Spanish economy. But most of these arguments are somewhat shortsighted because they usually forget the historical perspective. With this in mind, this work aims to think about three main issues. First, it analyzes the basic characteristics of the labour market for almost forty years of Franco's dictatorship. Second, it analyzes the labour legacies of dictatorship and the changes in the labour market during the democratic period. Third, it attempts to question to what extent labour market is responsible for the difficulties of the Spanish economy in the early XXIst century.

éxito y ocaso de una saga de negociantes catalanes en Galicia: la Casa de Comercio Francisco Ferrer y Albà (1750-1860)

Abstract: This article tries to review the social and economic phenomenon that meant the arrival of Catalonian businessmen to Galicia in the eighteenth century. This line of research has been extensively studied by the Galician historiography either from a global point of view or through famous business families, most of them have survived till nowadays. However, we can not forget that many of the Catalonian families that arrived at Galician lands had a humbler origin and they were not always successful in business. The Casa de Comercio Francisco Ferrer Albà is an example of this. The history of this saga from its settlement to its decline offers a new perspective of analysis in that we can find a family company, founded by Catalonian promoters, which could not survive the disturbed years that Spain lived from 1750 to 1860. Este artículo trata de revisar el fenómeno social y económico que supuso la llegada de negociantes catalanes a Galicia en el siglo XVIII. Este tema ha sido tratado ampliamente por la historiografía gallega bien desde una perspectiva global o bien a través de apellidos empresariales ilustres, muchos de los cuales han sobrevivido hasta nuestros días. Sin embargo, no podemos olvidar que muchas de las familias catalanas que llegaron a tierras gallegas eran de origen más modesto y que el éxito no siempre les acompa ó en sus negocios, tal y como le ocurrió a la Casa de Comercio Francisco Ferrer y Albà. La historia de esta saga desde su asentamiento hasta su declive nos ofrece una nueva perspectiva de análisis en la que nos encontramos con una compa ía familiar, fundada por fomentadores catalanes, que no pudo o no supo sobrevivir a los agitados a os que vivió Espa a entre 1750 y 1860.

Abstract: Phytoestrogens are natural compounds found in some vegetables, and they replicate many of the physiochemical and physiological properties of estrogens, including the regulation of mood. The phytoestrogen genistein exerts anxiolytic-like effects in rats with a chronic absence of ovarian hormones, but the mechanism involved in this effect remains to be explored. The present study explored the participation of estrogen receptor-β in the anxiolytic-like effect of genistein (1.0 mg/kg, i.p., for 4 days) in Wistar rats with 12-weeks postovariectomy, considered as experimental model of post-surgical menopause. In the light/dark test, a useful tool for anxiety study and for the screening of anxiolytic drugs, genistein reduced the latency to enter and increased the time spent in the light compartment and significantly increased the frequency and time spent exploring the light compartment compared with the control group, which is considered as an anxiolytic-like effect at experimental level. All behavioral effects produced by genistein in the light/dark test were blocked by previous tamoxifen administration (5.0 mg/kg, s.c., for 6 days), a non selective antagonist for estrogen receptor-β. The effects produced by genistein or tamoxifen in this test were not related to significant changes in general motor activity evaluated in the open field test. In conclusion, the specific contribution of present investigation was identify that estrogen receptor-β is involved in the anxiolytic-like effect produced by phytoestrogen genistein in rats with a long-term absence of ovarian hormones; supporting the hypothesis that estrogen receptor-β participates in the regulation of anxiety associated with low concentration of ovarian hormones and in the anxiolytic-like effects produced by natural estrogenic compounds such as phytoestrogens.
