Revista Brasileira em Promo??o da Saúde , 2011,
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of health team from Basic Health Units in the city of Coari-AM, Brazil, on the action of physical therapist in primary care. Methods: A quantitative, exploratory and descriptive study, like a field survey conducted in 11 primary care units in Coari, Amazonas state. The data were collected through a questionnaire comprising closed questions regarding the action of physical therapist in primary care. 76 professionals joinedin the survey by category: (05) physicians, (10) nurses, (08) nursing technicians and (53) community health workers. Results: 61.64% (n = 45) of the professionals working in the family health team reported knowing the action of physical therapist in primary care; 79.45%(n = 58) referred it in secondary level and 69.86% (n = 51) at the tertiary level of health care. Conclusion: This work showed some knowledge of professionals on the professional action of physical therapists in primary care; however, the knowledge for this level presents itself disadvantaged in relation to other levels of health care. We demonstrated that a share of professionals presented difficulties to consider the possibility of physiotherapeuticintervention in diseases mostly worked in primary care, but the reference to the viability of action of physical therapist for different publics was satisfactory. This conclusion does notexhaust the possibility of discussing the proposed theme.

Abstract: The upland rice productivity in the state of Rond?nia is still low, in view of the potential of culture. The use of cultivars adapted to different regions and more responsive to fertilizer employed is an essential practice which can change that. The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and productivity of two upland rice cultivars with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (N-P-K) doses in two municipalities in the southern state of Rondonia region. The experimental design was a randomized block design with four replications in a factorial 2 × 2 × 5, with the first factor composed of two cultivars (hybrid Ecco and conventional farming AN Cambará), the second factor, the environment of the two municipalities, Cerejeiras and Vilhena and the third factor of five doses of N-P-K (0-0-0, 30-40-30, 60-60-60, 90-90-90 and 120-100-120 kg·ha-1). The characteristics evaluated were: tillering, number of integers and sterile grains per panicle, weight of 1000 grains, grain yield (kg·ha-1) and whole grain yield. There was no triple interaction between the three factors for any of the traits. The hybrid Ecco has higher tillering ability than AN Cambara and presents fewer sterile grains per panicle, heavier 1000 grains and hence greater productivity. For both cultivars, the highest yields are obtained with a dose of 120-100-120 kg·ha-1 N-P-K. For the Ecco, the productivity is achieved with this dose and the dose of 90-90-90 kg·ha-1 is statistically similar. There is no difference in productivity between the municipalities when the dose of N-P-K is less than 60-60-60 kg·ha-1. The highest yield of whole grains in function of N-P-K fertilization is obtained in Cerejeiras.

Abstract: the addition of adjuvant oils to spray is frequently used without any adequate knowledge about the product adsorption by the target, spray retention and the crop-pest interactions. this work aimed to evaluate the effect of adjuvant oils addition in the cyhexatin acaricide solution to brevipalpus phoenicis control and the spray retention by citrus leaves. the mites mortality was evaluated in a certain area surrounded by entomological glue over orange fruits. it was performed a totally randomized design, in a factorial scheme. it was used two cyhexatin formulations: wg and cs; two adjuvant oils: vegetal and mineral over two concentrations (0.5 and 1.0%) plus two additional check treatments (acaricide without oil) and control (without spraying). application was performed in orange fruits over the point of runoff. after application, ten b. phoenicis were transferred to each fruit. the count of alive, dead and glue barrier stucked mites was made one day after. in order to estimate the spray retention, a spray application over orange leaves was performed, sprayed up to the runoff point, using the same treatments and statistical design analysis that had been previously mentioned, except for control plot. the liquid mass over the leaves after spraying was weighed. it was verified, for all treatments, that the mite mortality reaches above 90%, right away the day after application. thus, both mineral and vegetal oil addition to cyhexatin acaricide spray did not affect its biological efficacy under cs and wg formulations. it was observed a larger number of mites stucked to the glue barrier in the treatments with oil addition compared to the treatments without it. the vegetal or mineral oil addiction to cyhexatin spray have reduced the maximum amount of liquid retention by the citrus leaves, which can contribute to reduce the essential spray amount in a great plant cover.

Abstract: the body composition and net protein and energy requirements for weight gain of 5/8 hostein-zebu crossbred cattle raised in brachiaria decumbens spaft pasture were evaluated. in total, 16 bulls with 10 months of age and body weight (bw) of 180 ± 19.95 kg were used. the animals were kept with free access to pasture or with restricted grazing (from 6 to 10 h). four animals were slaughtered at the beginning of the experimental period to estimate the empty body weight (ebw) and the initial body composition of the remaining animals. the other animals were slaughtered at the end of the 84-day trial period. the logarithm equations of the protein and energy body content were adjusted according to the logarithm of the empty body weight ebw. from these equations, the net protein and energy requirements for weight gain were estimated. there was an increase in fat (from 37.17 to 59.08 g/kg ebw) and energy (from 1.68 to 1.94 mcal/kg ebw) concentrations, with increase in body weight from 150 to 250 kg. the protein and energy requirements for gaining 1 kg of ebw increased with the increase in body weight or empty body weight. the relationship between fat concentration in gain and protein requirements also increased, indicating that as the bw or ebw increase, more fat deposition in the gain is observed.

Abstract: chromosome numbers are reported for 22 species belonging to 19 genera of angiosperms collected in the state of pernambuco. a table with the herbarium voucher, collecting sites, diploid numbers and previous chromosomes counts for all the species is presented. eight of the species have no previous counts. for some species, two or more different chromosome numbers have been presented in the literature. our data suggest that most of such disagreements might be due to the presence of satellited chromosomes with elastic secondary constriction. furthermore, special cytogenetics features of every species are hereby presented and discussed.

The experiment was conducted with the objective of evaluating levels (0.0; 3.5; 7.0; 10.5 and 14.0%) of maize maceration residue in substitution of soybean meal on the consumption, digestibility and production of crossbred lactating cows. The experimental design chosen was the Latin square (5x5). A reduction was observed in theconsumption of dry matter (16.27 kg day-1, 3.57% LW and 159.60 g kg-0.75). The other nutrients followed this behavior, except the consumption of total digestible nutrients (11.46 kg day-1), which was not altered. It was observed that the coefficients of apparentdigestibility of all nutrients were not modified. Milk production, milk production corrected for fat levels and the percentage of milk fat were 14.08 kg day-1, 14.05 kg day-1 and 3.99%, respectively. The inclusion of the residue diminished the consumption; however, thedigestibility of the ingredients, milk production and fat levels were not altered.

Semina : Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas , 2012,
Abstract: Tin dioxide (SnO2) nanostructured thin films with low proportion of defects and low roughness were produced through the systematic control of temperature and viscosity of the precursor solutions used for thin films deposition. These solutions were obtained through the citrate method and the films were deposited through the ‘dip-coating’ technique on glass substrate and after thermal treatment at 470oC/4h, they were characterized both structurally and morphologically through the X-ray diffractometry, optic microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, atomic force microscopy, X-ray fluorescence, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and X-ray excited photoelectrons spectroscopy. The film thickness was obtained through scanning electronic microscopy of the films cross-section and correlated to the proportion of Sn and Si obtained through X-ray fluorescence. X-ray diffractometry of the films revealed the presence of peaks corresponding to the SnO2 crystalline phase, overlapping a wide peak between 20 and 30o (2?), characteristic of the glass substrate. Optic microscopy, Scanning electronic microscopy and atomic force microscopy revealed homogeneous films, with low roughness, suitable to several applications such as sensors and transparent electrodes. It could be observed through the UV-Vis absorption analysis that the films presented high optical transparency and ‘band gap’ energy 4.36 eV. The X-ray excited photoelectron spectroscopy confirmed the presence of SnO2, as well as traces of the elements present in the glass substrate and residual carbon from the thermal treatment of the films.
