Palavras- chave: Direitos transindividuais, direitos difusos, direitos coletivos, direitos individuais homogêneos. CONSIDERATIONS ON THE RIGHTS TRANSINDIVIDUAIS ABSTRACT Transindividual rights are the result of changes in society, which required the legislature's protection of collective goods. The Code of Consumer Protection brought great advancement to sort these rights in diffuse, collective and strictly homogeneous. This rating takes into account the ownership, divisibility and the source of substantive law. The explicit reference to these legal rights and resize to widen a technique for protecting individual, enabling access to justice through collective. Inspection of Buildings in Rio de Janeiro-Brazil: Proving the greater tendency of corrosion at the base of reinforced concrete columns using potential corrosion technique
Marcelo Henrique Farias de Medeiros
American Journal of Engineering Research , 2013,
Abstract: Monitoring the corrosion of steel embedded in concrete is a way to assess the degradation of civil structures. A technique used for this is the measurement of corrosion potential, which includes the use of a reference electrode, connected to a high input impedance voltmeter. There are many factors influencing the measurement of corrosion potential, such as: degree of concrete moisture content, the oxygen access, existence of micro fissures, chloride penetration, carbonation and concrete cover thickness. This study aims to analyze the measurement of corrosion potential for the copper/copper sulfate (Cu/CuSO4) electrode obtained in the inspection work of four residential buildings located in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The evaluation aims to investigate the difference in measurements of corrosion potential in the middle and bottom of each inspected column. The reason for the research is to explain a practical realization: the reinforcement corrosion can be seen more often at the columns base than in the remaining of this type of structural element. General data for all the 4 buildings inspected indicates that 77% of all 109 inspected columns have more negative corrosion potential values at the base. The reasons for this discovery are discussed throughout this paper
Florística de uma Floresta Estacional Semidecidual, localizada em ecótono savanico-florestal, no município de Bauru, SP, Brasil
Pinheiro, Marcelo Henrique Ongaro;Monteiro, Reinaldo;
Acta Botanica Brasilica , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-33062008000400019
Abstract: scarce floristic information for bauru municipality and the formulation of hypotheses on occupation mechanisms of forest communities by savanna species represent the main questions that motivated this study. the research was carried out in two seasonal-semideciduous-forest fragments (5 ha and 7 ha) maintained by jardim botanico de bauru - jbmb (bauru botanic garden), which includes forested savanna as well. the plant material was collected during random walks and in plots installed for a phytosociological study. we found 264 arboreal-shrubby species belonging to 58 families. of these, 126 species were collected exclusively in the forest community, while 66 species were collected in both plant communities. the families rubiaceae (25 species) and myrtaceae (21 species) had the highest number of species. a floristic similarity analysis was performed, based on jaccard's index (sj), between the jbmb forest and 11 other forest remnants, some of which showed savanna floristic influence. the floristic richness of the jbmb forest fragments increased due to occupation by savanna species which came from the adjoining forested savanna. previous fires plus the occurrence of distinct microenvironments were possibly the factors that facilitated the invasion by savanna species.
Análise estrutural e considera??es sobre a dinamica sucessional de dois fragmentos florestais semideciduais do Jardim Botanico Municipal de Bauru, SP, Brasil
Pinheiro, Marcelo Henrique Ongaro;Monteiro, Reinaldo;
Acta Botanica Brasilica , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-33062009000400007
Abstract: phytosociological parameters, as the frequency of height and diameter classes, are commonly used to make inferences about secondary succession in given phytocenoses. shrub and tree individuals higher than 1.5 m and with a bole length of at least 1.3 m were sampled in 2,600 m2 of semideciduous seasonal forest in the municipal botanical garden of bauru (jbmb). information on the diameter class frequencies of five species with the highest importance value index (ocotea pulchella, protium heptaphyllum, copaifera langsdorffii, platypodium elegans and trichilia pallida) and the more numerous species' successional classification were analyzed to make inferences about the successional features of the studied community. the diameter class frequencies of savannic species vochysia tucanorum were also studied. the information obtained allowed to consider that the forest of the jbmb is at an intermediate successional stage, and that, although it used to be periodically burnt, some of its populations are able to renew themselves.
The application of Process Management for reliability enhancement of the Taguchi method
Sestren, Marcelo Henrique;Fiod Neto, Miguel;
Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-73862001000200003
Abstract: the concept of process management has been used by managers and consultants that search for the improvement of both operational or managerial industrial processes. its strength is in focusing on the external client and on the optimization of the internal process in order to fulfill their needs. by the time the needs of internal clients are being sought, a set of improvements takes place. the taguchi method, because of its claim for knowledge share between design engineers and people engaged in the process, is a candidate for process management implementation. the objective of this paper is to propose that kind of application aiming for improvements related with reliability of results revealed by the robust design of taguchi method.
Contribution of forest species to the floristic composition of a forested savanna in southeastern Brazil
Pinheiro, Marcelo Henrique Ongaro;Monteiro, Reinaldo;
Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-89132006000600011
Abstract: based on studies of floristic lists the contribution of forest tree and shrub species in a forested savanna area in the city of bauru, state of s?o paulo, and in 14 different places sheltering cerrado sensu stricto and cerrad?o in brazil is defined as the evidence of forest species causing a change of cerrado heterogeneity. the percentages of occurrence of forest species in the locations analyzed varied from zero to 4.5%. the proximity of different forest matrices, the occurrence of fires and the inclusion criteria used were some of the factors that may have influenced such variation.
Small-scale experimental contamination with diesel oil does not affect the recolonization of Sargassum (Fucales) fronds by vagile macrofauna
Grande, Henrique;Reis, Marcelo;Jacobucci, Giuliano Buzá;
Zoologia (Curitiba) , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-46702012000200006
Abstract: coastal regions are subject to various forms of environmental impacts, such as spills of crude oil and associated products, with a wide range of effects on benthic biodiversity. this study characterized the patterns of recolonization of the macrofauna associated with the brown alga sargassum cymosum(c. agardh), on fronds contaminated by diesel oil in a small-scale field experiment. we collected 40 fronds of s. cymosum from an algal bed in southeastern brazil and defaunated each frond by immersion in fresh water. half of the fronds were then immersed in seawater (control group) and the other half in a mixture of 50% diesel oil and 50% seawater (impacted group). the test fronds were returned to the algal bed, and natural recolonization took place over a period of 12 days. samples of the vagile macrofauna were taken randomly at three-day intervals over the course of the recolonization period. no significant differences in the densities of most taxa were found between the impact treatment (ig) and control treatment (cg). at the end of the recolonization period (day 12), the faunal composition of the treated fronds was very similar to the natural conditions, indicating a high rate of community recovery and suggesting that benthic associations can be rather resilient to diesel-oil impacts on a small scale.
