Abstract: El presente artículo aborda un tema poco estudiado por la historiografía sobre la educación secundaria de las mujeres en México, durante el siglo XIX; esto es, se ocupa de analizar, desde una perspectiva comparativa, las ideas y planteamientos expuestos por los más destacados portavoces mexicanos del liberalismo y del catolicismo, en torno a dicha materia. Si bien ambos grupos se interesaron de manera particular en la formación e instrucción secundaria femenina, sus respectivos objetivos y estrategias apuntaron a direcciones por demás distintas.

Abstract: Este trabajo aborda el tema del graffiti, considerado por algunos como expresión juvenil vandálica y, por otros, como expresión estética de arte urbano. Las reflexiones se centran en una investigación realizada sobre una reciente intervención en el Museo Británico, publicada en los medios masivos electrónicos y digitales. A la luz de la semiología de la semejanza, se analiza el mensaje como parte de la estrategia de un proceso de comunicación alternativa y se interpretan sus posibles intenciones de crítica social en la conformación de una identidad cultural, posterior a los hechos del 11 de septiembre (11S).

Abstract: in pre-hispanic thought, macaw (ara macao and ara militaris) occupy a place of honour, as witness its image captured in the murals created by different peoples, such as the maya, the zapotec, the ancient inhabitants of teotihuacan and cacaxtla. this is not a coincidence, which is why this study aims to analyze and recognize the taxonomic identity of recreated individuals, as well as argue their presence in the pictorial language as a mean of irrefutable graphic expression. to this end works with mural paintings from two archaeological sites are analyzed: the mural 1 "the birds" of the 86 structure at xelhá, located in the northern part of quintana roo, and the wall east of the red temple in cacaxtla, tlaxcala, are studied. according to the modalities of graphic representation and under the criteria of thematic integration addresses the reading of the scenes taking into acount other iconographic elements that make them up. the result is a proposal for a token participation of the macaws on the abstraction of time from the daily and seasonal behavior of this kind of noisy psitacid and suggestive and striking plumage and its association with the concept of life, movement and temporality, in addition to its association with the sun and water as the primary element linked to fertility.

Abstract: the aim of this study was to compare cephalometric measurements of tooth and maxillofacial structures, ie, skeletal, dentoalveolar and soft tissue, in a sample of 40 mexican untreated children aged 9-14 years of both sexes (20 with normal occlusion and 20 with class ii division i malocclusion. clark′s cephalogram was used in the evaluation. the skeletal analysis did not show any significant differences in cranial bases of both groups; however, condylar axis angle values decreased in class ii group (p< 0.0041. a marked difference was also observed in anb angle (p< 0.000) fundamentally caused by the retrognatic position of the jaw. from the dental viewpoint, both groups showed dentoalveolar biprotusion, but more pronounced in class ii group. the linear measurements showed no differences between the groups; mandibular length (p< 0,003) and mandibular body length (p<0,001) had smaller values in class ii division 1 subjects.

Abstract: every text is a product of several writings and it will only be complete when it is updated by the reader. for this reason, in order that a text can be considered as such, the active participation of the reader is required. this means that the reader has to understand the content of the text. to do this the reader has not only have a knowledge of the linguistic code but also have other kinds of competences such as be proficient in other skills to establish relationships between the content of the text and that of other texts, to make assumptions, to suppress idiosyncrasies and to integrate what is read within a context. to illustrate the complex procedure that involves reading comprehension, this article presents the analysis of a journalistic interview using transtextuality as a methodological proposal. transtextuality will be understood not only from the perspective of text building, including all the extratextual elements that the writer employs to produce his text, but also from the textual reception, in other words, from the association network that the reader makes when he reconstructs the text.
En busca de la gestión participativa: el caso del proyecto del Ecobarrio de la Unión, Lille, Francia

Abstract: the union eco-neighborhood pilot project, in the urban community of lille, france, has set up an ambitious process of participative negotiation that has drawn our interest, becoming the basis of this analysis. various devices and spaces for dialogue have been created to allow interaction between different actors, and although the impact on decision making is slow, this project can be seen as a good example in the area of participative management. the main objective of this paper is to show some relevant results of the research on participative process to develop and implement the union eco-neighborhood, with the intention of opening our vision to other contexts and experiences which also seek to develop more democratic forms in urban projects. the research uses qualitative and empirical methods based on interviews with key stakeholders, observations of various dynamics (such as public meetings about the project) and local and international literature review in this domain.

Abstract: A lo largo de la historia del bachillerato se han debatido aspectos como el sentido de este ámbito, los contenidos de los planes de estudio, métodos de ense anza, fundamentos teóricos, si los contenidos deben definirse como una continuidad de la educación básica, como prerrequisito del ciclo de estudios profesionales, o en su relación con el mercado de trabajo. Tras revisar atentamente documentos originales donde se plasman los argumentos sobre los cambios en los planes de estudio, es fácil percibir que aunque se hace énfasis en argumentos académicos, éstos obedecen a políticas dictadas por los gobiernos en turno en momentos coyunturales. Las políticas que se han llevado a cabo se agrupan en: impulso al laicismo; vinculación de la educación con el sector productivo; expansión de la capacidad de atención y, desde hace unos a os, se intenta una política vinculada con la globalización. En este trabajo se abordan las tres primeras.
