De la Matemática Formal a la Matemática Escolar (From Formal Mathematics to School Mathematics)

Abstract: El contenido de este documento de trabajo puede situarse en el cruce de los siguientes ejes de reflexión: (a) formación inicial del profesorado y competencias del profesor de matemáticas, (b) dominio que tienen los futuros profesores del conocimiento matemático cuando éste es objeto de un proceso de ense anza/aprendizaje, y (c) conocimiento establecido en Educación Matemática y análisis didáctico. Después de indicar brevemente algunos aspectos de los ejes anteriores, se describe el modo particular en que se aborda el paso de la matemática formal a la matemática escolar en una asignatura de la Universidad de Almería. This paper is related to three main issues: (a) preservice teacher training and mathematics teacher competences, (b) preservice teachers’ knowledge of mathematics for teaching and learning, and (c) knowledge established by Mathematics Education and didactical analysis. I explain briefly these three points and then I describe the particular way in which we address the transformation of formal mathematics into school mathematics in a methods course in the University of Almería.

Abstract: this paper will examine the current state of the system of product liability in chile. in absence of law that regulates the fabricant's liability, will discuss the general rules of the chilean private law. in lack of treatment in a civil case law on the subject, as there are product liability judgments, will investigate whether through the consumer law would be possible to pursue fabricant's product liability. the hypothesis of this work is that under article 23 of consumer law it is possible to reach the joint responsibility of the manufacturer and seller.

Abstract: In recent years we have witnessed concerted efforts to achieve real equality between men and women through legislative reform in the European Union (i.e., EU Directives 2002/73/EC; 76/207/EEC), and nationwide in Spain (e.g., Law 3/2007, of 22 March, for Effective Gender Equality) as well as regional legislation (e.g., Law 7/2004, 16 July, Galician Law for the Equality of Women and Men). In view of the principle of equal rights enshrined in legislative reform, one would expect social change entailing the removal of existing inequalities on the grounds of sex. In order to explore the views of Spanish youth regarding gender equality, a pioneering field study was carried out to assess their knowledge of current legislation, and to examine their views towards gender equality, particularly in relation to specific issues such as family, divorce, separation, joint-custody, sexual relationships, education, and employment. Moreover, perceived or real models of equality were contrasted with ideal or desired models of equality. Thus, a total of 2071 Spanish undergraduates were administered an ad hoc questionnaire. The results reveal the vast majority of undergraduates favoured gender equality, and the equal participation of women and men in family and working life as well as joint-custody in cases of divorce or separation. Nevertheless, differences in gender were observed i.e., more women supported policies promoting the principle of equality than men. The findings underscore the need for implementing intervention strategies designed to foster shared responsibility and address different forms of discrimination based on sex in the family and the workplace and to combat them.

Abstract: In the fix project of investigation: “The edu-communication practice: its impact in the comprehension of subjects who interact in teaching-learning situations”. We intend to comprehend how the edu-commnunicative practice is developed in higher education. For this, we analyzed our own teaching strategies in the different measurement of bachelors in education from the faculty of Humanities of the National University from San Luís, Argentina. Here, we present different strategies used as tools for teaching and some learner’s productions. The theories that support this investigation are: the Critic Pedagogy, developed by Paulo Freire, The Communication Pedagogy, developed by Mario Kaplun and the conceptual edges of teaching for comprehension, developed by David Perkins. Since, they offer metacognitive instruments. It allows us to value the level of learning acquired by our students.

Abstract: The nature of the binding site(s) involved in the insulin secretory activity of imidazoline compo- unds remains unclear. An imidazoline I2 binding site (I2BS) has been neglected since the classic I2 ligand, idazoxan, does not release insulin. Using the rabbit as an appropriate model for the study of this type of binding sites, we have tried to re-evaluate the effects of idazoxan, the selective I2 compound BU 224, and efaroxan on insulin secretion. Mimicking efaroxan, idazoxan and BU 224 potentiated insulin release from perifused islets in the presence of 8 mM glucose. In static incubation, insulin secretion induced by idazoxan and BU 224 exhibited both dose and glucose dependencies. ATP-sensitive K+ (KATP) channel blockade, though at a different site from the SUR1 receptor, with subsequent Ca2+ entry, mediates the insulin releasing effect of the three ligands. However, additional MAO independent intracellular steps in stimulus- secretion coupling linked to PKA and PKC activation are only involved in the effect of BU 224. Therefore, both an I2 related binding site at the channel level shared by the three ligands and a putative I3-intracellularly located binding site stimulated by BU 224 would be mediating insulin release by these compounds. In vivo experiments reassess the abilities of idazoxan and BU 224 to enhance glucose-induced insulin secretion and to elicit a modest blood glucose lowering response.
