Effect of Carbon Nanotubes on Anodic Properties of Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn Oxides

Abstract: 摘要 本文采用热分解法制备Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn氧化物阳极,运用TGA、SEM、EDS、循环伏安、电化学交流阻抗、极化曲线以及强化电解寿命测试方法,探讨添加不同含量碳纳米管(CNTs)对Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn氧化物阳极的影响规律. 热重分析和阳极能谱数据表明,在烧结温度470 oC条件下CNTs未发生高温氧化分解,仍以单质形式存在阳极涂层中. 与对比样品相比,涂层表面裂纹增多,但仍保持典型形貌. 添加CNTs显著改善了Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn氧化物阳极的电化学性能,增大了阳极的活性表面积,减小了涂层内部电阻,提高了阳极析氯电催化活性,析氯电位增加缓慢,阳极强化电解寿命也得到明显延长. 其中,添加0.1 g·L-1 CNTs的Ti/Ru-Ir-Sn氧化物阳极电催化活性和稳定性最优
Simulation of effect of atomic process on poloidal CXRS measurement

Abstract: With consideration of the effects of atomic process, a simple code modeling the correction to poloidal charge-exchange recombination spectroscopy (CXRS) measure ment is developed. The simulation results show that the measured poloidal veloci ty shift is overestimated in the ion diamagnetic drift direction and the apparen t ion temperature is underestimated because of the effects of energy-dependent e mission rate and finite lifetime of excited ions. This deviation will be more ob vious with the increase of temperature or magnetic field. The contributions from gradients of density and temperature are negligible compared to that from the a tomic process.
Modification to poloidal charge exchange recombination spectroscopy measurement in JT-60U tokamak

Abstract: With consideration of the effects of the atomic process and the sight line direction on the charge exchange re-combination spectroscopy (CXRS), a code used to modify the poloidal CXRS measurement on Tokamak-60 Upgrade (JT-60U) in Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute is developed, offering an effective tool to modify the measurement and analyse experimental results further. The results show that the poloidal velocity of ion is overestimated but the ion temperature is underestimated by the poloidal CXRS measurement, and they also indicate that the effect of observation angle on rotation velocity is a dominant one in a core region (r/a 〈 0.65), whereas in an edge region where the sight line is nearly normal to the neutral beam, the observation angle effect is very small. The difference between the modified velocity and the neoclassical velocity is not larger than the error in measurement. The difference inside the internal transport barrier (ITB) region is 2-3 times larger than that outside the ITB region, and it increases when the effect of excited components in neutral beam is taken into account. The radial electric field profile is affected greatly by the poloidal rotation term, which possibly indicates the correlation between the poloidal rotation and the transport barrier formation.第一段]

Abstract: The coupling of lower hybrid wave to the plasma is a crucial issue for efficient current drive in tokamaks. This paper establishes a new coupling model which assumes the antenna to be a curved face and the plasma to be a cylinder. Power spectrum considering the coupling between wave-guides in both poloidal and toroidal direction is simply estimated and discussed. The effect of the poloidal wave vector on wave propagation, power deposition and driven current is also investigated with the help of lower hybrid current drive code. Results show that the poloidal wave vector affects the ray tracing, and also has effect on power deposition and driven current. The effect of the poloidal wave vector on power deposition and driven current profile depends on plasma parameters. Preliminary studies suggest that it seems possible to control the current profile by adjusting the poloidal phase difference between the waveguide in poloidal direction.

Abstract: Resolving the two dimensional Fokker Planck equation, evolutions of the driven current and its profile on HT 7 tokamak are obtained. The simulated results are nearly in agreement with the experimental data, which supplies a theoretical guidance for lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiments on HT 7 tokamak. In addition, the effect of radial diffusion of fast electrons on the driven current during LHCD is considered by means of solving the current diffusion equation.

Abstract: Dynamic behaviour of fast electron in lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiment is a crucial issue in the sense of enhancing plasma performance. A new hard x-ray diagnostic system on HT-7 allows the investigation of the lower hybrid wave dynamics. The behaviour of fast electron is studied in several kinds of LHCD experiments, including long pulse discharges, high performance discharges and counter-LHCD experiments.

Abstract: A phase-controlled lower hybrid wave (LHW) multi-junction (MJ) coupler (3(rows)×(columns)× (subwaveguides)) has been developed in the HT-7 tokamak. Simulations show that it is more effective for driving plasma current than an ordinary phase-controlled LHW antenna (3(rows)×12(columns)) (traditional coupler). The plasma--wave coupling experiments show that the reflection coefficient (RC) is below 10%, implying that the MJ grill can launch the wave into the plasma effectively. The effect of power spectrum launched by the MJ coupler on RC indicates that an optimal condition is requisite for a better coupling in the lower hybrid current drive (LHCD) experiments. Studies indicate that the drive efficiency of the MJ antenna is higher than that of the traditional one, which is mainly ascribed to the discrepancy in impurity concentration, plasma temperature, and spectrum directivity. An improved confinement with an electron internal transport barrier is obtained by LHCD. The analysis shows that the modified negative (low) magnetic shear and the change of radial electric field profile due to LHCD are possible factors responsible for the eITB formation.
Tensor Principal Component Analysis via Convex Optimization

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the computation of the principal components for a general tensor, known as the tensor principal component analysis (PCA) problem. We show that the general tensor PCA problem is reducible to its special case where the tensor in question is super-symmetric with an even degree. In that case, the tensor can be embedded into a symmetric matrix. We prove that if the tensor is rank-one, then the embedded matrix must be rank-one too, and vice versa. The tensor PCA problem can thus be solved by means of matrix optimization under a rank-one constraint, for which we propose two solution methods: (1) imposing a nuclear norm penalty in the objective to enforce a low-rank solution; (2) relaxing the rank-one constraint by Semidefinite Programming. Interestingly, our experiments show that both methods yield a rank-one solution with high probability, thereby solving the original tensor PCA problem to optimality with high probability. To further cope with the size of the resulting convex optimization models, we propose to use the alternating direction method of multipliers, which reduces significantly the computational efforts. Various extensions of the model are considered as well.
