Superior sagittal sinus thrombosis: a rare complication of nephrotic syndrome.
Tullu M,Deshmukh C,Save S,Bhoite B
Journal of Postgraduate Medicine , 1999,
Abstract: A two and half year-old-male child, known case of steroid responsive nephrotic syndrome presented with fever and vomiting of acute onset. He was diagnosed to have superior sagittal sinus thrombosis on a contrast computerised tomographic scan of brain. Recovery was complete without anticoagulant therapy. Superior sagittal sinus thrombosis is an extremely rare complication of nephrotic syndrome.
Chylothorax--a conservative approach (a case report).
Oak S,Kulkarni B,Deshmukh H,Kamble M
Journal of Postgraduate Medicine , 1991,
Abstract: Lymphatic blockage due to a non-specific inflammation probably of a filarial origin caused dilatation and ectasia of lymph channels at thoracic inlet of a child. Transudation of lymph through these channels led to chylothorax. The present case report highlights the significance of conservative approach towards this complex problem.

The Open Catalysis Journal , 2008, DOI: 10.2174/1876214X01003010083]
Abstract: A simple and efficient approach towards one step synthesis of 6-amino-5-cyano-4-phenyl-2-mercapto pyrimidine and its hydroxyl derivatives have been developed by three component condensation of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and thiourea/urea in presence of phosphorus pentoxide (Scheme 1).
Effect of Probiotic supplementation on Growth parameters of Osmanabadi Kids
S.A. Kochewad,J.M. Chahande,A.B. Kanduri,D.S. Deshmukh
Veterinary World , 2009,
Abstract: The study was conducted to assess the effect of probiotic supplementation on growth parameters viz. body weight, body height, chest girth and body length of Osmanabadi kids. A multi-strain commercially available probiotic (Protexin) containing Lactobacillus species, Streptococcus species and Yeast was administered orally at a dose rate of 2 gm per 25 kg body weight daily for 2 months to the treatment group. At the end of the first and second week, all the growth parameters were higher in the treatment group as compared to the control group, though the difference was not statistically significant. However, from the third week onwards, all growth parameters were significantly higher in the treatment group as compared to the control group. [Vet. World 2009; 2(1.000): 29-30]
Prediction of Femur Bone Geometry using Anthropometric Data of Indian Population: A Numerical Approach
T.R. Deshmukh,A.M. Kuthe,D.S. Ingole,S.B. Thakre
Journal of Medical Sciences , 2010,
Abstract: The development and validation of a generic model to get preliminary idea about various components of geometry of the femur using mathematical method was presented. The synthesis of the generic model requires the following steps: acquisition of anthropometric data of the patients; x-ray images of hip joint of the patients; measurement of various components of the femur; creation of model using mathematical method; validation of the model. From the results it was apparent that, the geometry of the femur can be obtained through anthropometric data using mathematical approach. The results showed that, the correlation obtained in the age group of 51-60 (M) was better than other age groups of the same category. There was no significant difference between the correlation obtained in male and female categories. The measured values and values obtained through mathematical models showed good correlation. The generic models were validated by comparing observed values with the calculated values and the agreement found was qualitative.

Dalbir Kour,D. R. Patil,M. B. Deshmukh,Vivek K. Gupta,Rajni Kant
Journal of Crystallography , 2014, DOI: 10.1155/2014/914504
Abstract: The two acridinedione derivatives 1 [3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10-hexahydro-2H,5H-acridine-1,8-dione (C24H29NO3)] and 2 [3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(4-methylphenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10-hexa-hydro-2H,5H-acridine-1,8-dione (C24H29NO2)] were synthesized and their crystal structures were determined by direct methods. The asymmetric unit of compound 1 contains two independent molecules. The 1,4-dihydropyridine (DHP) ring adopts boat conformation in both 1 and 2. In 1 the dione rings exist in sofa conformation (for both the crystallographically independent molecules) while the corresponding rings in 2 adopt half chair and sofa conformations, respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N–H?O and C–H?O interactions in compound 1 and N–H?O interactions in compound 2. 1. Introduction A multicomponent reaction (MCR) provides powerful tool for the synthesis of complex molecules and drug like heterocycles and has great interest in diversity oriented synthesis. MCRs are economic, selective, plain procedure and time and power saving with being ecofriendly in organic synthesis [1–3]. Acridinediones containing a 1,4-DHP nucleus are used as laser dyes with very high efficiencies of photo initiators [4, 5]. A latest literature review reveals that 1,4-DHP nucleus exhibits calcium channels blockers and antiaggregatory activity. Besides this, 1,4-DHP skeleton shows many biological activities such as antihypertension, anticancer, antidiabetics, geroprotective, neuroprotectant, and anti-HIV [6]. Synthesis of 1,8-dioxoacridinedione is usually carried out by MCRs of dimedone, aldehydes, and ammonium acetate [7, 8]. In continuation of our ongoing work on multicomponent reaction derivatives and their crystal structure analyses [9, 10], we report the synthesis and crystal structure of 3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10 hexahydroacridine-1,8-dione 1 and 3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(4-methylphenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10 hexahydroacridine-1,8-dione 2 (Scheme 1). Scheme 1: Synthesis of compounds 1 and 2. 2. Materials and Methods All the chemicals were purchased from SD Fine Chem Limited and Thomas Baker, used as received without further purification. Melting point was determined on Labstar melting apparatus. The IR spectra were recorded on a Perkin-Elmer, FTIR-1600 spectrophotometer and expressed in cm?1 (KBr). 1H NMR spectra were recorded on Bruker Avance (300?MHz) spectrometer in DMSO-d6 using TMS as the internal standard. Elemental analysis was performed on a EURO-EA analyzer. 2.1. Synthesis of
