Abstract: discussing how people can build up solidarity, and drawing from psychological assumptions that guarantee that such virtue is constructed by each one in their interaction with the environment, this research points to a path for the formation of more autonomous and solidary subjects: the cooperation as a strategy to conceive the construction of virtues. to this end, a comparative investigation was made of the judgments of children of both sexes, aged 6 and 7, in two kinds of environments: a - based on authoritarian relations; and b - in relationships of cooperation. diagnostic tests for jean piaget's operatory behavior were used to investigate the parallel between the cognitive and moral structures of the subjects. the study also used the observation of the interpersonal relationships and the discussion of moral dilemmas split into two groups, and which fulfilled two conditions: to inspect the judgment of solidarity between peers, and in the presence of authority. results demonstrate the existence of an evolution in the disposition of the subjects to be solidary, linked to the prospect of significant experiences of solidarity and mutual respect, characteristic of a cooperative environment. such results allow us to envisage a "pedagogy of virtues" that takes in the development of cognitive structures and affective aspects to the construction of moral personalities.

Tognetta, Luciene Regina Paulino;La Taille, Yves de;
Psicologia: Teoria e Pesquisa , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-37722008000200007
Abstract: the article presents studies of a current investigation among 75 adolescents from 12 to 15 years old, students of private schools of campinas city, that have as main objective to notice a possible correspondence among the moral judgments and the representation that individuals have about themselves. from a questionnaire, the studies bring out the representations of these individuals and answer a questioning if they would have an ethical character or not and if these individuals would correspond to their moral judgments. the results point out to a correspondence among those whose self representations are characterized by more evolved ethical contents and judgments related to sensitivity and to the characters feelings involved in the situations described. such studies validate the intention of this article to discuss the correspondences between ethics (how the individual sees himself/herself) and moral (how he/she judges the situations moral).

Burlandy, Luciene;Bodstein, Regina Cele de A.;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 1998, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X1998000300011
Abstract: this study systematizes the theoretical and conceptual foundations in the field of collective health that have provided the basis for scientific production in the health policy area. the primary research source is the literature produced in two different contexts in this field, i.e., that of its emergence per se and the scope of the so-called health reform. the authors highlight the main concepts and theoretical references from the social sciences used in analyzing the health policy theme, identifying analytical distinctions, concepts pertaining to policy, the state, and health, and changes in the central categories from the various studies. their analysis of this history indicates a reshaping of the theoretical frame of reference, giving greater flexibility to the structural determinism and macrosocial approach characterizing a major portion of academic production in the context from which the field emerged and thereby questioning the hegemony of the marxist paradigm. in relation to more recent production, the authors emphasize the incorporation of new analytical references, thus providing greater complexity to the relationship between the social sciences and the field of collective health.

Abstract: policies and actions in national and international spheres which aim to develop the local industry competition, taking as their basis the many advantages of agglomeration, have been focusing on the local production systems (lps). such actions and policies indicate the lps as a vector of economic dynamism that improves local development, emphasizing the role of micro and small enterprises (mse) which occur in an industrial agglomeration. however, the environmental dimension has thus far only received tangential treatment within the policies and actions in the promotional and structural activities mentioned above. thus, there is a question as to how we could contemplate this dimension in order to understand and promote lps, including the objective of preventing and reducing negative environmental impacts from the activities of these agglomerations. the article proposes to examine the opportunities for integration of environmental issues in a group of enterprises that belong to the s?o josé do rio preto-sp jewelry cluster, which is the second largest in the state of s?o paulo in manufacturing jewelers made from gold. these enterprises joined a competitiveness project undertaken by sebrae (brazilian agency for support of micro and small enterprises). the analysis adopts the cleaner production proposal(p + l) as an approach and tool for environmental management, particularly suitable for smaller enterprises that are able to converge innovation efforts in order to provide alternatives for undertaking improvements in environmental performance. qualitative exploratory research found that endeavors to update technology in the jewelry cluster analyzed with a view to cleaner production, leads to environmental, economic and occupational health and safety benefits due to the reduction in the consumption of raw materials, water and energy, as well as the reduced generation of waste and emissions. the qualitative exploratory research identified opportunities to incorporate the env

Abstract: The article is dedicated to the analysis of the certification process in tahiti lime farms in one of the main producing regions of the country, located in S o Paulo State. We verified a context marked with two simultaneous phenomena. The first one is about the expansion of the tahiti lime production and about (EurepGap) the certification process European Retailers Produce Working Group - Agricultural GoodPractices, that is managed since 2002. The second one relates to the trend of alterations the S o Paulo′s agricultural landscape with the modification in the crops to serve the necessity of increasing sugar cane production and the consequent reduction of the plantation of other crops. The proposed approach in the present article focuses on the understanding of the process of agricultural certification as an instrument that can be compatible with the productive diversification and increments in the interactions established between farmers and others participants of the production systems.
