Luciana Reichert da Silva Assun??o,Robson Frederico Cunha,Ant?nio Ferelle
Pesquisa Brasileira em Odontopediatria e Clínica Integrada , 2007,
Abstract: Introduction: Studies have shown that dental traumas in the primary dentition are common events that may result in sequelae that can compromise the affected primary tooth. In the literature, the frequency of dental trauma in the primary dentition is variable, while the age range, gender, etiological factor and the most affected teeth present similar prevalence. Regarding the most common type of trauma, differences may be found due to sampling criteria, such as the type of study and site of conduction of the study. Several sequelae may be observed in traumatized primary teeth, among which coronal discoloration, pulp necrosis, root canal obliteration and root resorption. Studies have pointed to the type of trauma and the age of the child at the moment of trauma as important factors that contribute to the occurrence of these sequelae.Purpose: The purpose of this article is to present a review of relevant studies referring to epidemiological factors and sequelae in traumatized primary teeth, providing to the reader an overview of dental trauma in the primary dentition. Conclusion: In conclusion, based on the analysis of the reviewed articles, it could be observed a direct relationship between the degree of severity of the dental traumas and the occurrence of sequelae in the affected primary teeth, emphasizing the importance of periodical follow up in these cases.

Abstract: the purpose of this study was to analyze luxation injuries in children between the ages of 0 and 5 years treated at an emergency service department. a total of 1,703 records, corresponding to a period of 10 years at the emergency center of the baby clinic at londrina state university, brazil, were analyzed. the age, gender, etiologic factors, type of injury, injured teeth, treatment and time interval between injury and treatment were determined for each patient. of the examined records, 409 patients met the study criteria and included a total of 679 injured teeth. statistical analyses were carried out using the chi-square test with the level of significance set at 5%. trauma incidence was higher in boys (57.0%) and in children less than two years of age (40.3%). falling while walking or running was the most predominant etiologic factor (37.7%), and the most prevalent type of injury was subluxation (32.6%). luxation injuries decreased with increasing age (p = 0.045). treatment usually occurred within the first 1-15 days and was significantly associated with the type of trauma (p = 0.041). "monitor only" was the treatment most frequently observed (74.0%). in conclusion, more luxation injuries were found in younger children, predominantly in boys. falls resulting from walking or running were the etiologic factor most observed, with subluxation as the most common type of trauma. treatment usually occurred within the first 15 days after the injury. despite the severity of these injuries, "monitor only" was the eligible treatment.

Creative Education (CE) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2016.77095
Abstract: This study aimed to assess academic management actions facing the set of professional competencies that graduates from an Accounting Sciences course need to graduate. To this end, we carried out a qualitative descriptive study. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using content analysis. We found that the set of graduates’ professional competencies concerning organizational, technical-professional and social spheres requires academic management actions such as: 1) democratic governance and collective development of a curricular pedagogical project; 2) establishment of places for interaction between fields/disciplines (structuring teaching core); 3) use of conflict management strategies; 4) activities that favor professional ethics; 5) activities that favor leadership, commitment and trust; 6) curriculum flexibility; 7) strategic planning and evaluation of actions; 8) professional self-development. Activities and mechanisms that encourage the participation of all those involved in decision-making characterize democratic management and academic management’s leadership. We conclude that democratic-participative management may favor professionals’ graduation processes in the contemporary world, and may be a way of ensuring the development of students’ cognitive, operational, social and moral competencies, through their commitment to curriculum dynamics, to the development of thought and creation processes, to the establishment of participatory citizenship and to ethical education.

Ciência Rural , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-84782004000200010
Abstract: the objective of this work was to characterize the spatial variability of soil resistance to penetration (rp) in no tillage farming, identifying the degree of soil compaction. the rp was determined directly in the field, in systematic way in three soils types. the first experimental area was in santa maria, in hapludalf, with 120g clay kg-1 in the layer of 0-20cm. the second, located in cruz alta, in a haplortox, with 500g clay kg-1 in the 0-20cm layer and the third experimental area located in colonel barros, in a hapludox, with 600g clay kg-1 in the 0-20cm layer. the values of rp were analyzed by descriptive statistics and for geoestatistical techniques. in the three soils, the technique of the krigeagem was used to make surface maps, identifying three classes of rp, the one that, we called degree compaction (ec). in hapludalf, smallest ec was considered the values of rp among 0.58mpa to 0.88mpa, the middleman ec among 0.89mpa to 1.18mpa and largest ec, values of rp between 1.19mpa and 1.50mpa. in haplortox, in the smallest ec the values of rp were selected varying among 1.70mpa to 2.22mpa, the middleman ec, rp among 2.23mpa to 2.75mpa and, in largest ec, values of rp among 2.76mpa to 3.20mpa. in hapludox the values of rp in smallest ec were among 0.20mpa to 1.59mpa, in the middleman ec among 1.60mpa to 2.10mpa and in largest ec, among 2.11mpa to 2.80mpa. in the three areas, the distribution of the soil degree compaction decreased of the headboard area (larger ec) for the center of the farming (smaller ec).

Abstract: the objective of this study was to compare and to establish relations between bulk density, total porosity, macro and microporosity values determined by the uhland core method and by the clod method, for no tillage and conventional tillage, with and without grazing. soil samples were collected from a hapludalf, with a loam surface texture, located in santa maria, in brazil. the bulk density values obtained by the clod method were greater than those obtained by the uhland core method. the macroporosity was the soil parameter with the greatest variations when comparing the two methods. thus, comparison it should be avoided to compare management systems, of studies where different methods were used.
Resistência mecanica do solo à penetra??o influenciada pelo tráfego de uma colhedora em dois sistemas de manejo do solo

Abstract: the increase of soil mechanical resistance may limit plant growth and productivity. the objective of this paper was to evaluate the effects of wheel traffic caused by a grain harvester (combine) on penetration resistance for two soil tillage systems. the treatments were: no tillage, no wheel traffic and wheel traffic by a soybean harvester; tillage, no wheel traffic and at wheel traffic by a soybean harvester. soil penetration resistance with a cone penetrograph with electronic readings for each 0.15cm depth, and soil moisture were determined down to a depth of the 40cm, at two soil conditions (dry and wet), on a clayey haplortox (le). the combine front-axle load was 5.0mg and the wheel contact area was 0.283m2, yielding a ground pressure of 0.0884mpa. for high soil moisture the soil resistance difference between treatments was low (smaller than 2,0mpa), not limiting to root growth. however, for the second evaluation, about 30 days after the first, when the soil was drier, soil compaction in the layer from 5 to 17cm caused by wheel traffic was observed. soil water content influenced the values of soil resistance. critical values, considered as penetration resistance greater than 2mpa, were mainly observed for the no tillage system, specially for the 7.5 to 17.0cm layer. the no tillage system had a greater state of compaction than the tilled soil, because of yearly load accumulations. soybean yield was not different between the tillage systems, with an average of 3.15mg ha-1 yield.
