Abstract: The relationship of the IT and competitive advantage is a hot research topic for a long time. Based on existing research, this paper proposes an integrated procedure model of how IT impacts firm’s competitive advantage. The model provides an integrated framework for the study of the relationship of the IT and competitive advantage, and can provide effective guidance for firms to use IT to obtain sustainable competitive advantage.
Network Position, Technological Distance and Firm’s Cooperation Innovation  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper studied the joint effects of network position and technological distance on firm’s cooperation innovation based on the data of firm’s patent cooperation from 2003-2013 in the electronic information, electric power and equipment manufacturing industry. Results show that both network centrality and structure holes have a significant positive impact on the firm’s cooperation innovation output; technological distance and cooperative innovation performance have an inverted u-shaped relationship; the interaction of network centrality and technological distance negatively regulates the cooperative innovation performance; the interaction of technological distance and structure holes can promote cooperative innovation performance.
Enhance Academic Study in Vocational Education in China

Abstract: The increase in international trade and the information technology boom led us to begin to face the previously unthinkable of academic shortage towards vocational education. The main objective of this paper is to present the problem and find ways to solve it. The main finding included lack of investment from society and high degree involvement of government, the curricula is without of academic flexibility, students are sorted into different school types largely on the basis of their entering exam score, shortage of high-quality teachers and instructors. Thus this paper puts four ways to tackle the problem: decrease the involvement of government; setting hybrid curricula and providing technical research project; providing attractive option that the possibility to study further in university for vocational school graduates; emphasizing general and academic knowledge over industry and vocational skills by aligning academic institutions and firms.
Unexpected colloid-like supernatant from liquid-phase ball-milling graphite using miscible solutions as solvents: a failure analysis

Abstract: Ball-milling graphite was conducted in miscible solutions with the purpose to exfoliate graphene. Colloid-like stable supernatants were unexpectedly obtained. Followed were the characterizations with Scanning electronic microscopy, Thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction and Elemental dispersive X-ray mapping to recognize them. As a result, strongly against the initial judgments, the components of colloid were mainly impurities of mixture of zirconia, silicate and yttrium oxide, other than nano-graphite.
Human Care Theory and Influences on the Life Quality Index of Cancer Patients in Household Life  [PDF]

Abstract:

To investigatetheinfluences of the application of human care theory on the life quality and happiness of cancer patients after they receiveda community nursing care which was implemented by the human care theory. The quality life and the happiness index of 93 patients with cancer living in the six communities in Jillin were assessed, the assessment of the life quality was based on a life quality scale (SF-36) and that of the happiness index was based on Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness (MUNSH). The community nurses cared for these patients by applying the theory of human care and the life quality and the happiness index of the patients were observed after the care. The results showed that there were significant differences in the score of 5 dimensions in the eight dimensions of the life quality between before the care and after the care (<0.05), and there were significant differences in the average sores of the positive emotion, positive experience, negative emotion, negative experience and level of happiness included in the happiness index between before the care and after the care (<0.05), suggesting that the theory of human care can be used for the care of patients with cancer and the application of the theory can effectively improve the life quality and the happiness index of the patients, strengthen their problem-solving abilities and let them have a positive attitude towards their lives.

Simulation of Fault Arc Using Conventional Arc Models  [PDF]

Abstract:

Conventional arc models are usually used to research the interaction between switching arc and circuit. It is important to simulate the fault arc for arc flash calculations, choice of electrical equipments and power system protection. This paper investigates several conventional arc models for calculating the fault arcing current. Simulation results show that conventional arc models can be used to simulate the fault arc if the parameters of arc models are given properly. This paper provides the parameters of 5 popular arc models and describes the simulation results of the fault arc.

Abstract: We give new lower bound and upper bound for Papenfuss-Bach inequality and improve Ruehr-Shafer inequality by providing a new lower bound. 1. Introduction Papenfuss [1] proposes an open problem described as follows. Theorem 1.1. Let . Then Bach [2] prove Theorem 1.1 and obtain a further result. Theorem 1.2. Let . Then Ge gives a lower bound of the above inequality in [3] as follows. Theorem 1.3. Let . Then Furthermore, 64 and are the best constants in (1.3). Besides, Bach [2] obtain the improvement of the Papenfuss-Bach inequality as another one. Theorem 1.4. Let . Abstract: With the wide employment of modern educational technology, college English teaching is going on a process of replacing traditional educational media with modern ones, which are closely connected with multimedia computers and internet technology to raise its efficiency and quality. However, some problems and challenges still exist in the college English teaching. In order to solve the problems, this article designs a test and collects data to check the effectiveness of the task-based approach within the Internet-assisted multimedia in college English teaching. The results show that Linguistic form was analyzed and practiced with task-based approach which may help the learners notice the linguistic problems and try out new language forms and structures, and that Internet-assisted multimedia has been effective in intriguing learners' interests and greatly enhanced their self-esteem.
