Thermal Decomposition of Diphenyl Tetroxane in Chlorobenzene Solution  [PDF]
Alexander G. Bordon, Andrea N. Pila, Mariela I. Profeta, María J. Jorge, Lilian C. Jorge, Jorge M. Romero, Nelly L. Jorge
International Journal of Organic Chemistry (IJOC) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/ijoc.2019.91001
Abstract: The thermal decomposition of Cyclic Diperoxide of Benzaldehyde 3,6-diphenyl-1,2,4,5-tetroxane, (DFT) in chlorobenzene solution in the studied temperature range (130°C - 166°C) satisfactorily satisfies a first order law up to 60% conversions of diperoxide. DFT would decompose through a mechanism in stages and initiated by the homolytic breakdown of one of the peroxidic bonds of the molecule, with the formation of the corresponding intermediate biradical. The concentration studied was very low, so that the effects of secondary reactions of decomposition induced by free radicals originated in the reaction medium can be considered minimal or negligible. The activation parameters for the unimolecular thermal decomposition reaction of the DFT are ΔH# = 30.52 ± 0.3 kcal·mol-1 and ΔS# = -6.38 ± 0.6 cal·mol-1 K-1. The support for a step-by-step mechanism instead of a process concerted is made by comparison with the theoretically calculated activation energy for the thermal decomposition of 1,2,4,5-tetroxane.

Medeiros, Lilian R.;Rossa-Feres, Denise C.;Jim, Jorge;Recco-Pimentel, Shirlei M.;
Genetics and Molecular Biology , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-47572006000200010
Abstract: we report on the presence of b-chromosomes in two populations of dendropsophus nanus (= hyla nana boulenger, 1889) from s?o paulo state, brazil. such chromosomes were observed in 4 out of 43 specimens (9.3%) and in 9 out of 15 specimens (60%) from the municipalities of nova alian?a and botucatu, respectively. the karyotype 2n = 30 + 1b found in d. nanus was similar to that of other species with 2n = 30 chromosomes, except for the presence of an additional small telocentric chromosome. in one specimen from botucatu, cells with one to three extra chromosomes were observed. these b-chromosomes appeared as univalent in meiosis i and did not bear a nucleolar organizer region or exhibit constitutive heterochromatin.

Investiga??es em Ensino de Ciências , 2012,
Abstract: The discussion about the potentialities of basic education in the process of formation of citizens aware of their rights has arisen extensive debates in education. Particularly with regard to Mathematics teaching, this subject is addressed in the context of trends in Mathematics education. The mathematical modeling is one of these trends, in which this topic is discussed. This occurs by highlighting the importance of mathematics in the understanding of situations coming from other areas of knowledge. These characteristics are consistent with the assumptions of the Critical Theory of Meaningful Learning, which led us to hypothesize that the activity of mathematical modeling may promote such learning. This article presents the results of a research that suggests some possible approaches between the socio-critical perspective of mathematical modeling and Critical Meaningful Learning.

Lilian Yaffe C.
Revista CS , 2011,
Abstract: This paper offers a review of the literature dealing with the causes of the Colombian armed conflict. Its key objective is to discuss why the reduction of the levels of the conflict-related violence was unequal in various parts of the country between 2003 and 2010. The author addresses economic, institutional, and social causes as well as embraces the ongoing theoretical debates on the issue. The paper affirms that it is precisely the diversity of the causes that makes the Colombian conflict such a complex one, and that any related study must address all of the causal variables and perpetuating factors involved.

Finalmente, recupera una lectura de su estado y ordenamiento para Chile This text propose a public opinion reading starting from the concept of social representation meaning from the greek culture. In that context it is a proposal interpreting the public opinion as a social representation according to knowledge and to social and political scene. It focuses towards contemporary configurations of modern public opinion, for understanding and explaining why the emptiness in citizen participation and source emptiness and institutional fragility.
