Libertarian Labour Laws:a Thumbnail Discussion
Annavajhula J. C. Bose
Indian Streams Research Journal , 2012,
Abstract: De jure or de facto, the whole world has drifted towards systematicallydismantling the labour laws associated with social democratic capitalism that was thereup until the onset of neoliberalistic globalization since the late 1980s. In the process, most workers have begun to live or die with garbage labour contracts and the associatedsubstandard employment conditions. In such a milieu of increasingly unprotectedlabouring, the reasons for which are explored in this paper, the labour market reformdebate in India is rather misplaced as 97 per cent of the workforce is alreadyunprotected, much of which is invisible too. For the remaining 3 per cent in India, thequestion now is: will they too join the ranks of the unprotected workforce sooner, or willthere be a reform that is mutually beneficial to labour and capital? It seems theresponsibility to protect concept is bid goodbye with the ascendancy of the legal conceptof employment as the private property of the employers

The result indicates that librarians in Taiwan experience significant levels of negative emotions, and interpersonal relationship appears as one of the most important causes.[Article content in Chinese]
