Research on the Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance Based on Grey Correlation Analysis: Taking the Smartphone Company as an Example  [PDF]

Abstract: In order to explore the relationship between the corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance in different CSR cultures, this paper respectively takes four representative smartphone companies in China, the United States, Japan and Korea as research objects, that is Huawei, Apple, Sony and Samsung smartphone companies. Then, dividing the CSR into five dimensions i.e. shareholder, customer, supplier, technology innovation and government and establishing the grey correlation model to empirically analyze the relationship between CSR and financial performance. The results indicate that for HUAWEI, the CSR performance in shareholder, customer and technology innovation have greater impact on its financial performance; for Apple, the CSR performance in shareholder, technology innovation and customer has greater impact on its financial performance; for SONY, the CSR performance in technology innovation, customer and shareholder has greater impact on its financial performance; for Samsung, the CSR performance in technology innovation, government and shareholder has greater impact on its financial performance.

Abstract: A brief historical narrative of the study of grating solitons in fiber Bragg grating is presented from the late 1970’s up to now. The formation of photogeneration gratings in optical fiber by sustained exposure of the core to the interference pattern produced by oppositely propagating modes of argon-ion laser radiation was first reported in 1978. One important nonlinear application of fiber Bragg grating is grating solitons, including gap soliton and Bragg soliton. This paper summarily introduces the numerous theoretical and experimental results on this field, each indicating the potential these solitons have in all-optical switching, pulse compression, limiting, and logic operations, and especially important for the optical communication systems.
Establishment of Cytokines Quantitative PCR Methods and Its Application in Anaphylaxis Study of Houttuynia Cordata Injection  [PDF]

Abstract: We design specific primers, according to the four kinds of important macaque cytokines, based on macaque β-action genes, then extract total RNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of macaques, and trascriptase cDNA reversely after establishing real-time quantitative PCR, and test the relative expression amount of several kinds of important cytokines during the hypersensitive process. The testing method of quantitative PCR in this experiment is highly sensitive, all cytokines are up to 102 copies/μL and highly reproducible, the intraassay and interassay coefficients of variation are less than 6%. The method applied to the sensitive reaction experiment on cytokines induced by houttuynia cordata turns out that the cytokines relative expression of houttuynia cordata distillate with low dose group and high dose group is significantly higher than that of saline group (P > 0.01). Meanwhile, significantly increased IL-4, IL-10 and IL-13 and decreased IFN-γ are found in both group A and group B after houttuynia injection (P > 0.05).
A Displacement Based Analytical Model to Determine Residual Stress Components in a Finite Elastic Thin Plate with Hole-Drilling Method  [PDF]

In order to measure the residual stress components in an elastic thin plate, the hole-drilling strain-gage method has been used. This method enables to determine the relation between the magnitudes and directions of the principal stresses and the strain relaxation about the hole. In the existing analytical models based on stress field, the formulations associated with the hole-drilling method are based on the assumption of an infinite plate, this may cause some errors for a finite plate and it’s difficult to validate these solutions by FE methods. Furthermore, in the composite, the displacement field is continuous but the stress field is not necessarily continuous, the displacement field based method has to be used. In the present paper an analyt-ical model based on a displacement field described by a function with coefficients to determine for a finite round thin plate is presented. The coefficients used in the displacement field are independent on the three residual stress components, and they are determined by minimization of the internal strain energy during the hole-drilling process. Once the coefficients in the dis-placement field are determined, three strains measured in three radial directions are utilized to determine the three residual stress components. The proposed analytical model can be also adapted to infinite plate by assuming that the diameter of the round plate tends to infinite.
A Study on the Cost of Production in Film Project Management: Taking Small-Budget Films in China as an Example  [PDF]

Abstract: At present, Chinese film has been becoming industrialized with the production management system still being imperfect. Small-budget films account for the largest proportion of Chinese film output while with the problems in production management being the most, which influences the development of the entire cultural industry to a certain extent. Among them, the waste of funds caused by management problems emerges endlessly. In this article, in-depth interviews with nine veterans in the industry and multiple case studies into six small-cost film crews for practical observations are combined and the cost control problem in small-cost films is explained from the perspective of project cost elements for the first time. Four aspects of personnel expenses, material costs, equipment rental expenses and other living expenses are analyzed and discussed and the details of the cost and the hidden factors are studied to expand the application of the theoretical framework of project cost elements in this field.

Abstract: In the grey clustering assessment, the grey integrated clustering method can solve the problem that there are not distinguished differences of grey clustering coefficient. This paper proposes an improved grey integrated clustering method based on the existing problem that there are some deficiencies in the division of the value scope of the integrated cluster coefficients, and proves the effectiveness of the improved method through the empirical analysis.

Abstract: Context-aware database has drawn increasing attention from both industry and academia recently by taking users' current situation and environment into consideration. However, most of the literature focus on individual context, overlooking the team users. In this paper, we investigate how to integrate team context into database query process to help the users' get top-ranked database tuples and make the team more competitive. We introduce naive and optimized query algorithm to select the suitable records and show that they output the same results while the latter is more computational efficient. Extensive empirical studies are conducted to evaluate the query approaches and demonstrate their effectiveness and efficiency.
A 2D based Partition Strategy for Solving Ranking under Team Context (RTP)

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a 2D based partition method for solving the problem of Ranking under Team Context(RTC) on datasets without a priori. We first map the data into 2D space using its minimum and maximum value among all dimensions. Then we construct window queries with consideration of current team context. Besides, during the query mapping procedure, we can pre-prune some tuples which are not top ranked ones. This pre-classified step will defer processing those tuples and can save cost while providing solutions for the problem. Experiments show that our algorithm performs well especially on large datasets with correctness.
Phase-field Simulation of Microstructural Evolution during Preparation of Semi-solid Metal by Electromagnetic Stirring Method

Abstract: In the process of preparation of semi-solid metal materials, a variety of factors would influence the preparing time and the morphology of non-dendritic microstructure. The aim of this work is using phase-field method to simulate non-dendritic growth during preparation of Al-4Cu-Mg semi-solid alloy by electromagnetic stirring method (EMS method). Several factors such as the disturbance intensity, anisotropy, the thickness of the interface and the ratio of diffusivity in solid and liquid were considered. It is shown that decreasing the thickness of the interface results in more circular outline of particles, and increasing the diffusivity in solid can reduce degree of microsegregation. The disturbance intensity in the model can be connected with current intensity of stator or magnetic induction density impressed. Simulation results show that the larger the disturbance intensity or magnetic induction density, the more globular morphology the original phase in the matrix.
Phytotoxicity of four herbicides on Ceratophyllum demersum, Vallisneria natans and Elodea nuttallii

Abstract: The physiological effects of 4 herbicides (butachlor, quinclorac, bensulfuron-methyl and atrazine) on 3 submerged macrophytes (Ceratophyllum demersum, Vallisneria natans and Elodea nuttallii) were tested in laboratory conditions. The variables of the relative growth rate and the photosynthetic pigments content showed that all of the tested herbicides affected the growth of the plants obviously. The abnormal growth of the plants was observed in most treatment groups, even at the lowest concentration (0.0001 mg/L). Except for the C. demersum treated with quinclorac at 0.005 and 0.01 mg/L, the relative growth rates of the plants were inhibited significantly (p < 0.05). Statistical analysis of Chl-a content was carried out with both the t-test and one-way ANOVA to determine the difference between the treatment groups and control. The results showed that Chl-a contents of the plants in all treatment groups were affected by herbicides significantly, except for the C. demersum treated with bensulfuron-methyl at 0.0005 mg/L. The decrease content in Chl-a was positively correlated to the dosage of the herbicides in most treatment groups. It was suggested that herbicides in water body might potentially affect the growth of aquatic macrophytes. Since the Chl-a content of submerged macrophytes responded to the stress of herbicides sensitively and directly, it could be used as biomaker in environmental monitoring or in the ecological risk assessment of herbicide contamination.
