Leonor Osório Almeida
Advances in Anthropology (AA) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/aa.2015.53015
Abstract: This study presents a compilation of results obtained by several research groups on the mutational analysis of β thalassemia in Portugal and in Morocco, and compares the mutation/haplotype associations in both countries. We use the β thal mutations and haplotypes as genetic markers to address the question of gene flows through the Mediterranean basin area into the Iberian Peninsula and Portugal since the Phoenician trade up to recent times.
Memoria e imagen
Arfuch, Leonor;
Educa??o & Realidade , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S2175-62362012000200005
Abstract: image and narration are intrinsically related when the transmission of memory is at stake. this is so, not only because of the iconic dimension of the words, that make any story a projective screen of our imagination, but also due to the narrative character of images, although these very often require the proximity of the word. in both cases the idea of transmission, which has a special meaning in the domain of education, has to do with some intentionality, an orientation towards the other, the addressee, in a dialogical interaction where response and responsibility come together in an ethical plane. our aim here is to pose some theoretical reflections regarding the relation between image and memory by comparing two scenes, one taken from literature (sebald), and the other from the visual arts (christian boltanski), scenes of a traumatic memory, marked by tragedy.

Gest?o do conhecimento e competitividade organizacional: Um modelo estrutural
Comportamento Organizacional e Gest?o , 2007,
Abstract: most authors who focus on the study of knowledge management claim the existence of a relationship between this and organizational performance, from a perspective of creating and maintaining sustainable competitive advantages. in this article we present a structural equation modelling, through which we aim to test, generally and for the sample under study (50 industrial organizations in the district of viseu), the validity of the theoretical assumption mentioned, assessing relationships of simultaneous dependence or interdependence between a set of variables that showed relationships of greater magnitude in previous studies and to do so we used multiple regression analyses. the results obtained suggest the existence of a positive impact of knowledge management on organizational competitiveness, reinforcing the conclusions drawn from multiple regression analyses previously carried out, and holding up empirically the theoretical model we set out from.
