Abstract: most soccer matches are conducted by coaches who usually make all player substitutions allowed. therefore, it is extremely important to study these substitutions and their effects on the intensity of effort required from players. to date, no published studies have reported on this topic using heart rate (hr) as an intensity parameter. the objective of this study was to compare effort intensity (ei) of soccer players in the following situations: 1) first half (fh-ei); 2) second half (sh-ei); 3) second half with substitutions (shs-ei). forty-five male soccer players (18.5±1.2 years old, 74.25±5.79 kg, 182.6±8.55 cm, 9.56±2.47% body fat, 56.3±4.3 mlo2/kg/min) were evaluated during 29 official games. ei was considered as the mean hr, expressed as the percentage of each player's maximal hr (%hrmax) and as the time spent in each intensity zone (z) according to %hrmax (z1<70%; z2 70-85%; z3 85-90%; z4 90-95%; z5 95-100%). fh-ei (86.3±3.3%hrmax) was higher than sh-ei (80.6±4.4%hrmax) and shs-ei (83.6±2.8%hrmax). shs-ei was higher than sh-ei (p<0.05). time spent in high-intensity zones was lower in sh-ei than in fh-ei, but higher in shs-ei when compared to sh-ei (p<0.05). it was concluded that the decrease in ei in the second half of soccer matches was attenuated by substitutions made at halftime, as evidenced by a longer time spent in high-intensity zones when compared to sh-ei.

Abstract: The biodiversity from a region is a factor intrinsically related to the ecosystem health that encompassed this biodiversity. In order to evaluated the floristry coverage in the region covered by the Núcleo Operacional Carangola – a administrative unit from Instituto Estadual de Florestas – and consequently it biodiversity, was try to gather space informations that would be correlated to the fundamental principles from the biodiversity concept: species varieties, fragmentation degrees, natural ecosystems connectivity and this factors influence on the biologic integrity in the environment. Furthermore, was applied a supervised method of automatic classification in orbital images in high resolution, the Bhattacharya. Quality indicators, Kappa and Global Accuracy showed results of 0.69 and 0.73. The natural ecosystems remaining were found reduced and unconnected, especially into degraded pasture. It allows to affirm that, considered some limitations, the methodology have great potential in the continuous monitoring in the landscape in front of an antropic transformations.

Abstract: agenesis of the inferior vena cava is a rare malformation. its most common cause is dysgenesis during embryogenesis, but it may also be related to intrauterine or perinatal thrombosis. it is usually asymptomatic, associated or not with other congenital malformations and may be related to increased risk of chronic venous insufficiency and deep vein thrombosis, especially in young individuals. diagnosis is often incidental, during abdominal surgery or radiological procedures. we reported five cases of agenesis of the inferior vena cava detected during electrophysiological procedures.

Abstract: The aim with this study was to verify the effect of the addition of enzymatic complex levels in corn-soybean meal diets on piglet serum parameters and intestinal morphology at 49-day post-weaning. Forty homogeneous male and female piglets, from the same lineage, were distributed in a randomized blocks design, with four treatments and five replicates. Two piglets (male and female) were considered as an experimental unit. The treatments were levels of enzymatic complex: 0, 0.02 (recommended by the manufacturer), 0.04 and 0.06%. Pigs were slaughtered at 70 days old. There was a reduction (P <0.05) in urea and total protein content in blood serum of pigs receiving enzymatic supplementation. The animals that consumed diets with enzyme addition presented a linear increase (P <0.05) on villus heigh (HV) at duodenum segment, linear reduction (P <0.05) on crypt depth (CD) of jejunum and better HV/CD ratio (P <0.05) in jejunum and ileum segments.

Abstract: We study the competition between non-magnetic (dimer or flux) states and short-range antiferromagnetically ordered RVB states in the t-J model and present a finite temperature phase diagram. We show that, for a wide range of temperatures and dopings, the stable phase results to be a state in which both the flux and the RVB parameters are nonzero.

Abstract: two inoculated corn silage experiments are reported. in the first one, ph value, ammonia nitrogen in total nitrogen (n-nh3/total n), chemical composition and in vitro drymatter digestibility of corn silages with or without enzymatic-bacterial inoculants were evaluated in laboratory silos. a 6 x 3 factorial arrangement of treatments, with six fermentation periods (01, 03, 07, 14, 28 and 56 days) x three inoculants (control and two commercial inoculants: maize all (alltech of brazil) and biomax (christian hansen) was used in a completely randomized design, with three replications. effect of the inoculant × fermentation period interaction was detected on silages dm content, larger values corresponding to the inoculated silages, independent of the fermentation period. inoculants favored silage crude protein (cp) concentration, the smallest value (6.23%) being observed in control silage. it was also observed an effect of fermentation period on neutral detergent fiber (ndf) and acid detergent fiber (adf), which decreased by 0.302353 and 0.063321 units/fermentation day, respectively. the in vitro dry matter digestibility increased with fermentation period, with increments of 0.0546305 unit/day. in the second experiment, intake and total apparent digestibility of silage nutrients were evaluated with rams. eighteen castrated adult rams were assigned to three treatments, in a randomized blocks design, with six replicates. the diets consisted of 90:10 forage to concentrate ratio in a dry matter basis. the intake of nutrients was not influenced by the experimental diets, being observed mean values of 1.26; 0.14 and 0.84 kg/day for dry matter (dm), crude protein intake (cp) and total digestive nutrients (tdn) intake, respectively. an inoculant effect was observed on cp apparent digestibility, greater value being observed for silage treated with the biomax inoculant (66.0%). the inoculant addition to corn plant changed nor silage chemical composition, neither the intake of its nu
