Abstract: Cu60Zr30Ti10 (at. %) ribbon was prepared by melt spinning. Its glassy structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Its corrosion behavior in HCl and NaCl solutions was investigated by electrochemical polarization measurement. The surfaces before and after corrosion were observed with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and analysis was performed using electron dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that the decrease of current density is due to the formation of a mixture of simple oxides or complex oxidic compounds. In both cases, the corrosion potential decreases with increasing chloride concentration. The passive film forms easier in HCl than in NaCl. In addition, the higher is the chloride concentration, the easier is the passivation.

Abstract: A flake-like alumina with rough surface and small mesopores has been prepared by a hydrothermal method. Remarkably, such alumina was able to stabilize Au nanoparticles, predominantly ~2.2 nm in size, even up to an annealing temperature of 700°C. The catalytic activity was tested using the CO oxidation model reaction where a complete conversion of 1% CO in air at 30°C was obtained.

Abstract: Shu-Xue-Tong (SXT) is a traditional Chinese drug widely used to ameliorate stagnation of blood flow, such as brain or myocardial infarction. Whether SXT may have therapeutic value for spinal cord injury (SCI), during which ischemia plays an important role in its pathology, remains to be elucidated. We hypothesized that SXT may promote SCI healing by improving spinal cord blood flow (SCBF), and a study was thus designed to explore this possibility. Twenty-five male Sprague-Dawley rats were used. SCI was induced by compression, and SXT was administrated 24 h postinjury for 14 successive days. The effects of SXT were assessed by means of laser-Doppler flowmetry, motor functional analysis (open-field walking and footprint analysis), and histological analysis (hematoxylin-eosin and thionin staining and NeuN immunohistochemistry). SXT significantly promoted SCBF of the contused spinal cord and enhanced the recovery of motor function. Histological analysis indicated that the lesion size was reduced, the pathological changes were ameliorated, and more neurons were preserved. Based on these results we conclude that SXT can effectively improve SCI.

Abstract: DPPH-TLC and DPPH-Microplate assays were used to determine the free radical scavenging activities of methanol extracts from the fermentation broth and the mycelia of Paecilomyces cicadae P3. The results revealed that the extracts had strong free radical scavenging activities. At the concentration of 5.0mg/mL the methanol extract from fermentation broth of P3 could decrease 74.86% of 0.4mg/mL DPPH radicals after incubating at 37℃ for 10 minutes. An anti-fungal TLC assay was applied to test antimicrobial metabolites of Paecilomyces cicadae P3. Meanwhile, an anti-Candida albicans Oxford Cup assay was made to confirm their anti-fungal activities. At the concentration of 5.0mg/mL the methanol extracts from fermentation broth and mycelia of P3 had significant anti-Candida albicans activities and the diameters of inhibition zone were 21.42mm and 11.23mm respectively.

Abstract: 用二苯代苦味肼基自由基(DPPH)-TLC法和酶标仪法对一株蝉拟青霉P3菌丝体和发酵液甲醇提取物的清除自由基活性进行了定性和定量测定,发现两种提取物具有较强的清除自由基活性,在浓度为5.0mg/mL,于37℃下保温10min时,两种样品对0.4mg/mL的DPPH自由基的清除率分别可达55.52%和74.86%.以一种黑曲霉菌为指示菌,采用薄层色谱法对蝉拟青霉菌丝体和发酵液甲醇提取物进行抑菌活性试验,实验中根据抑菌圈大小判定代谢物抑菌活性的大小.同时,以致病菌白色假丝酵母菌为指示菌,采用牛津杯法对提取物进行进一步抑菌活性验证,结果表明,菌丝体和发酵液提取物样品浓度为5.0mg/mL时,其抑菌圈直径分别可达11.23mm和21.42mm.
Early Blockade of TLRs MyD88-Dependent Pathway May Reduce Secondary Spinal Cord Injury in the Rats

Abstract: To determine the role of toll-like receptors (TLRs) myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) dependent pathway in the spinal cord secondary injury, compression injury was made at T8 segment of the spinal cord in adult male Sprague-Dawley rats. Shown by RT-PCR, TLR4 mRNA in the spinal cord was quickly elevated after compression injury. Intramedullary injection of MyD88 inhibitory peptide (MIP) resulted in significant improvement in locomotor function recovery at various time points after surgery. Meanwhile, injury area, p38 phosphorylation, and proinflammation cytokines in the injured spinal cord were significantly reduced in MIP-treated animals, compared with control peptide (CP) group. These data suggest that TLRs MyD88-dependent pathway may play an important role in the development of secondary spinal cord injury, and inhibition of this pathway at early time after primary injury could effectively protect cells from inflammation and apoptosis and therefore improve the functional recovery.

Abstract: 摘要: 利用零相关线性分析方法评估Midori64算法的安全性。利用“中间相错”的方法构造了Midori64的6轮零相关线性逼近,在此基础上,对10轮Midori64进行了密钥恢复攻击。该攻击过程的数据复杂度约为262.4个明密文对,计算复杂度为279.35次10轮加密运算。结果表明缩减至10轮的Midori64算法对于零相关线性分析方法是不免疫的。
Abstract: The security of Midori64 against zero-correlation linear cryptanalysis is evaluated. By using the “miss-in-the-middle” technique, 6-round zero-correlation linear approximations are constructed. Based on the 6-round distinguisher, key-recovery attack on 10-round Midori is performed. The data complexity is 262.4 plaintexts and the time complexity is 279.35 10-round encryptions. The testing result shows that the Midori reduced to 10-round is not immune to multidimensional zero-correlation linear analysis

Abstract: 报道安徽省滁州市琅琊山林场引起蜘蛛流行病的虫草真菌,经鉴定为柱形虫草Cordycepscylindrica,属中国首次报道。在子座柄部可见一小块灰紫色的分生孢子层,镜检表明:由此组织分离菌株的形态学特征与后来通过子囊孢子分离获得的菌株是一致的。柱形虫草无性型为紫色野村菌Nomuraeaatypicola,其培养特征也为国内首次描述。另外,在同一生境的地上叶背面,可见许多蜘蛛被紫色野村菌感染致死,虫尸被覆淡紫色菌膜,但未见孢梗束或子座。

Abstract: 2007年4月初,在安徽芜湖繁昌马仁奇峰风景区进行虫生真菌资源调查时采集到十余个长在像植物种子上的虫草标本,经鉴定为草剃虫草Cordyceps kusanagiensis Kobayasi&Shimizu(1983),为中国新记录种。同年7月下旬,在安徽省滁州市琅琊山林场采到一个长在近球形植物种子上的标本,经鉴定为虫草近缘属Shimizuomyces真菌奇异清水菌Shimizuomyces paradoxus Kobayasi(1981),也为中国新记录属种。
