Abstract: the text has as objective to reflect about the origin of physical education and art (art education) in the school, considering the period of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. how these areas are included in the school? when they are called to be part of the educational process? what are the tensions present in this process? following the reflection of vago (2002), as was the root these areas at school?
Dan a: sentido estético em discuss o
Lívia Tenorio Brasileiro
Movimento , 2012,

Movimento , 2002,
Abstract: The study uses, as a reference, considering on what means, in critical theory on Education and of Physical Education - the Formation, Curriculum, and Pedagogical Practice, to recognize the links determinations and approaching demands that call forth criticism. It's objective is to present a proposition that could explain on how to deal with Dance knowledge, into Physical Education discipline, using connections in references of Critical Theory of Education. It examines the action-research approaching, based on planning, implementation, and evaluation of the whole process of one teaching unit inside Physical Education discipline, that has Dance knowledge, in the teaching cycles - four classes, in a public school.

Características clínicas y pronóstico a un a o de pacientes con síndrome coronario agudo sin elevación del segmento ST y arterias coronarias sanas Clinical characteristics and one year prognosis of patients with acute coronary syndrome without ST segment elevation and normal coronary arteries
Objective: to describe the clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction without ST-segment elevation and normal coronary arteries. Results: each cohort consisted of 24 patients. The group of patients without coronary disease was younger (56 ± 10 years vs. 63 ± 10 years, p = 0.026) and had more women (62% vs. 29%, p = 0.02). The TIMI risk score was higher in the group with coronary heart disease (3.3 vs. 2.5, p = 0.02); however, it did not result into earlier coronary angiography (without coronary disease 19 ± 18 hours, vs. with coronary artery disease 27 ± 21 hours, p = 0.18). The number of diseased vessels in patients with coronary artery disease was 1.6 and 2.04 stents wer
On Optimal Detection of Point Sources in CMB Maps
R. Vio,L. Tenorio,W. Wamsteker
Physics , 2002, DOI: 10.1051/0004-6361:20020821
Abstract: Point-source contamination in high-precision Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) maps severely affects the precision of cosmological parameter estimates. Among the methods that have been proposed for source detection, wavelet techniques based on ``optimal'' filters have been proposed.In this paper we show that these filters are in fact only restrictive cases of a more general class of matched filters that optimize signal-to-noise ratio and that have, in general, better source detection capabilities, especially for lower amplitude sources. These conclusions are confirmed by some numerical experiments. \keywords{Methods: data analysis -- Methods: statistical
“Am I Good Enough for You?” Features Related to Self-Perception and Self-Esteem of Brazilians from Different Socioeconomic Status  [PDF]
Anthonieta L. Mafra,via A. Lopes
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.57077

Several studies have been conducted to expand our knowledge about human romantic relationships, mostly seeking to highlight the factors of greatest influence. However, much of these works were based on samples of university students, which affords certain limitations to drawing any conclusions about the general population, especially in countries where the rate of social inequality is high. The current study aims to address this limitation and determine whether there actually is a significant difference between self-esteem and self-perception as a potential romantic partner among samples of people from two different socioeconomic status (SES), based on data derived from 150 participants (64 of higher SES and 86 of lower SES) in northeastern Brazil. Our results confirm the existence of differences in self-esteem and self-perception as a romantic partner among people from different SES, underscoring the need for further exploration of non-university groups in the study of factors that influence romantic relationships.

A Quixote mulher - fic??o e filosofia
Guimar?es, Lívia;
Kriterion: Revista de Filosofia , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-512X2005000100008
Abstract: i present in this paper a feminist interpretation of the novel the female quixote, by charlotte lennox. in my hypothesis, lennox meets the charge of falsity leveled against early modern novels with a defense of the genre as a tool of social critique and a medium for the achievement and transmission of women's knowledge. thereby she promotes a revision of the concepts of "truth" and "falsity", while at the same time she endows fictional narratives with ethical, political and epistemic significance.
A melancholy skeptic
Guimar?es, Lívia;
Kriterion: Revista de Filosofia , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-512X2003000200003
Abstract: hume variously viewed the association of philosophy and melancholy in different stages of his development. in this essay i propose to follow this progress, beginning with his youthful belief that a philosophical life would shelter its pursuer from melancholy. in my hypothesis, for the mature hume knowledge in the broad sense of wide experience alone can ease melancholy states, while knowledge as narrow rational speculation proves itself untenable, as it triggers a state of melancholy despair in the agent.
