Martins, Francisco;Costa, Arilson Corrêa da;P?rto, Karime da Fonseca;
Psicologia: Reflex?o e Crítica , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-79722000000100018
Abstract: this paper presents a possible solution to the problems aroused by the understanding of the delusional phenomenon according to the model of a restricted theory of absolute reference in which the words and, consequently, the judgements, correspond to the things as a logical alphabet. in the pragmatic conception adopted here, language is taken as a game guided by rules in which effective discursive cooperation is more important than the ideal meaning of expressions. in this sense, the theory of acts of speech seems to be the best solution offered by the philosophical pragmatics and it is used as a methodological principle on the analysis of speech excerpts of delusional patients. delusion shows itself as an original solution to decisive questions in the history of a psychotic person.
Keynes’ Analytical System as an Econometric Tool: Examining Macroeconomic Trends in the U.S. from 1950s to 1980s  [PDF]
Manuel A. R. Da Fonseca
Theoretical Economics Letters (TEL) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/tel.2018.810112
Abstract: The initial goal of this paper is to develop the standard Keynes’ analytical system into a dynamic macro-econometric model, which is then applied to the analysis of macroeconomic indicators for the U.S. from 1950s to 1980s—a period marked by strong volatility of inflation, exchange rates and commodity prices. Based on the results obtained and, in particular, on the model’s structure and exogenous variables, it is possible to single out the main factors that explain the macro-trends observed in the American economy. Further, a second and more important goal is to evaluate if a simple macro-dynamic model can be a relevant tool in empirical analysis of macroeconomic developments. The results obtained indicate that, although the elements of the Keynesian system are most often used in a purely theoretical perspective, a macro-econometric model based on those elements can be successfully used in reproducing overall macroeconomic variables in a certain period—and the determinants of those macro-trends can be traced to the model’s exogenous variables.
Fonseca, André Azevedo da;
Intercom: Revista Brasileira de Ciências da Comunica??o , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1809-58442012000200004
Abstract: eduardo palmerio (1906-1076) was a popular columnist who worked in the sao paulo press in the decades of 1940's to 1970's. his chronicles were characterized by a great sense of humor, social criticism and independent political stance. in this article we try to recover the memory of the chronicler through an intellectual profile followed by a documental analysis, relating the themes of his works to the political ideas in vogue during the period of democratic opening of the second half of the 1940's. we found that the chronicles of palmerio reverberated a political culture present in the public opinion that went beyond the ideological sectarianism and parties of that period to conceive the development of brazilian society from the perspective of moral and humanistic ethics.
Fonseca, Dirce Mendes da;
Educa??o e Pesquisa , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1517-97022008000200010
Abstract: this article takes its analytical axis from the work of gaston bachelard in the construction of the "new scientific spirit", and is based on his epistemological contributions as they appear in his scientific pedagogy and analysis of the demise of positivism as a research framework in the social sciences. the text introduces bachelard's historical epistemology, in which all knowledge is regarded as controversial, and that, therefore, old constructions must give way to new constructions. it proposes the notion of rupture to specify a more scientific way to produce science, the notion of dialectic process in the production of scientific knowledge, and the concept of knowledge as a continual process of rectification. it seeks to correlate the scientific pedagogy with pedagogical practice, and shows the possibilities of transformation in the field of teacher education and research based on a particular view of epistemology and of a critical and reflective scientific practice. a scientific pedagogy that must have its eyes on developing formative actions and on having a double perspective: education understood as a social and historical practice. these reflections lead us to articulate theory and practice, and to understand research as a creative practice. from such process should come forth our understanding of what it means to do science, of interdisciplinary practice, of the articulation between theory and practice, and of the integrated learning of research and teaching.
Fonseca, Fernanda Ferreira da;
Escola Anna Nery , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-81452007000400007

O operário e a histérica: dois sujeitos modernos
Elia, Luciano da Fonseca;
História, Ciências, Saúde-Manguinhos , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-59702007000300008
Abstract: in this article, the author sets up a dialogue between marxist thinking and psychoanalysis, both of which currently tend to be considered outdated, despite the fact that nothing remotely comparable has been proposed to take their place. thus, the primary reference is marx's manuscripts of 1844, an early work in which he develops what we could call a 'theory of the subject', which is why it is chosen as a reference text for this dialogue with freudian thinking. the article begins with an account of the first scenes of a cuban film that masterfully poses the conflict between subjective needs and the communist social pact. it continues by searching for a dimension of desire in marx's ideas on the human subject, which could provide a link with freud's thinking. this dialogue ultimately reveals that the discursive potential of these two giants of modern thinking go beyond what most thinkers would effectively see as an insurmountable barrier: the 'worker' and the 'hysteric' - both names of subjects that marx and freud, respectively, launched to the world - find the ways forward for a possible dialogue.
Plasmódio de primata do Brasil
Fonseca, Flavio da;
Memórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz , 1951, DOI: 10.1590/S0074-02761951000100008
Abstract: a second species of monkey plasmodium of the new world is described from the howler monkey alouatta`fusca geoffroy, 1812, captured in itapecirica, s?o paulo, brazil. the new species differs from plasmodium brasilianum gonder et von berenberg-gossler, 1909 by following characters: 1st. almost constant presence in the blood cells of granulations of the same type as schüffner dots. 2nd. considerable hypertrophy of the parasitised cells. 3rd. greater number of merozoites after schizogony with an habitual minimum of 16 elements in contrast with the maximum of 16 in plasmodium brasilianum. 4th. extreme rarity of band forms. this morphology strongly suggests an infection of the benignan tertian type. to this new species the name of plasmodium simium, sp.n. is proposed.

FONSECA, Suzana Carielo da;
DELTA: Documenta??o de Estudos em Lingüística Teórica e Aplicada , 1998, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-44501998000200008
Abstract: this paper aims at discussing the organicist proposal concerning aphasia. according to such a proposal, there is a direct causal relation between an impaired brain and linguistic symptoms. i depart from and take into account the fact that language is governed by laws intrinsec/inherent to the functoning of language. this is to say that language cannot be governed by laws of any other theoretical domain. as a speech therapist and linguist, who is constantly face to face with the problematic status of the aphasic symptons, i claim that the classical causal relation mentioned above ought to be revisited. in this direction, i follow freud (1891) who put forward jackson?s hypothesis that the relation between lesion-linguistic symptom was not straight (freud, 1874).
