A Study of Pulse Electrodeposition on Suppressing the Formation of Lithium Dendrite

Abstract: 摘要 采用脉冲充电方法替代传统充电方法,研究了在有机电解液 0.5 mol·L-1 LiBr/PC (碳酸丙烯酯)中,在铜电极上沉积锂的表面变化. 扫描电镜观测结果显示,在传统直流充电时电极表面明显地出现了枝晶,而使用脉冲充电时能够抑制枝晶的生长. 交流阻抗测试结果显示,在占空比为 0.5 时,沉积锂表面固体电解质界面(solid electrolyte interphase,SEI)膜电阻最大,沉积锂表面枝晶较少;单次脉冲电沉积时间过长,会使沉积锂表面 SEI 膜电阻减小,沉积锂表面枝晶增加;电流密度大于等于 2 mA·cm-2时,脉冲电沉积可有效抑制枝晶生长.
A pulse charge method was used to suppress the formation of lithium dendrite on the copper electrode in 0.5 mol·L-1 LiBr/propylene carbonate (PC) electrolyte. The surface variation of lithium deposition was investigated by scanning electron microscope and impedance measurement. The SEM test showed that the lithium dendrites were formed on the copper electrode during the traditional process of electrodeposition. However, the formed dendrite was suppressed by pulse charge method. The results of the impedance measurement confirmed that the pulse electrodeposition could suppress the dendrite under the optimized duty ratio (0.5). The long single pulse deposition time decreased the resistance of SEI film and led to the lithium dendrite growth. The current density had an effect on dendrite and the dendrite could be effectively suppressed with no less than 2 mA·cm-2 of current density

Application Research of Off-grid Home Photovoltaic Power System in Shaanxi Northern Region  [PDF]

Abstract: Because working performance of off-grid home photovoltaic power system is influenced by factors of solar radiation, ambient temperature and installation angle, this research established power supply model, analyzed working performance and optimized system configuration, by referencing weather conditions of Yulin and Yan’an and those factors. Results showed that under given solar radiation and ambient temperature, difference of installation angle can cause 30% to 40% difference of performance. In order to meet power demand, installation angles of Yulin and Yan'an were selected as 40 degree and 30 degree, and annual output power were 1.44 kWh/Wp and 1.32 kWh/Wp. Based on those results, the configuration of Yulin and Yan'an was 150 Wp and 170 Wp, and annual output power was 172.70 kWh and 179.66 kWh. Systems optimized above can meet the mid-scale demand in Shaanxi northern region and build theoretical foundation of application.

Abstract: This paper chooses the data of high-tech enterprises in China from 2007 to 2014, and investigates the impact of house price on firm innovation. The conclusion is that the house prices are significantly negatively related to the firm innovation, and compared to the prices of the operating buildings and the office buildings, the negative effect of the increasing price of commercial buildings as a whole, residential buildings (large categories), or other commercial building in the similar category is more significant. Besides, the paper also found that the negative effect on state-owned enterprise innovation is more significant than the non-state-owned enterprise innovation. The conclusion of this paper has a certain guiding significance for exploring the negative impact of rising house prices on the enterprise innovation.

Pilot is one of the most important factors to ensure aviation safety. The article focuses on the Pilots Development Planning (PDP) problem. It is different from other countries that pilots are developed by airways themselves in China. Promotion of every pilot needs specified quantity of flight experience hours which are accumulated in daily flights. In the same time, the promotion routes of pilots are diversified. So keys of PDP problem are to estimate the number of pilots who have promotion qualification in different planning period and to optimize their promotion and transfer in all routes. After analyzing characteristics of pilot training, a PDP road map is drawn which shows the typical process for pilots’ promotion and transfer. An optimization model which has promotion qualification constraints is built to solve PDP problem. According to different pilot development patterns, the method is proved to be effectively by a case study. The research has practical significance for Chinese airways.

Abstract: In this paper we aimed to determine the surface tension of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) tablet and tried to provide a key reference parameter to control tablet film coating quality. Using contact angle tester, the Chinese medicine tablet, a famous Fufang Danshen tablet CP as a model example, was determined by Zisman critical surface tension method. Our study showed that the critical surface tension of Fufang Danshen tablet CP was determined to be 18.00 dyne/cm. The Zisman method, hence, can determine successfully the critical surface tension of Chinese medicine tablet and will become an effective manner to control tablet film coating quality.

Serum YKL-40 Level Is Associated with the Chemotherapy Response and Prognosis of Patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract: This study was to explore the association between the serum YKL-40 level and the clinical characteristics, the response to chemotherapy and prognosis in small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Serum YKL-40 levels were detected and compared in 120 patients with SCLC pre- and post-chemotherapy, and in 40 healthy controls. Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves were adopted for diagnosis and calculation of area under ROC curve in SCLC. The Kaplan–Meier method, univariate and multivariate Cox regression analysis were used to analyze the correlation between pre-chemotherapy serum YKL-40 levels and progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). The pre-chemotherapy serum YKL-40 levels were significantly higher than those of the controls (p<0.001). The post-chemotherapy serum YKL-40 levels in the SCLC cases were lower than pre-chemotherapy serum YKL-40 levels in these cases (p = 0.026). The patients with high serum YKL-40 showed a poorer response to chemotherapy than those patients with low serumYKL-40 (p = 0.031). Univariate analysis revealed that SCLC patients with high serum YKL-40 had a shorter PFS and OS than those with low serum YKL-40 (HR of 1.74, p = 0.033; HR of 1.33, p = 0.001). Cox multivariate analysis indicated that YKL-40 was an independent prognostic indicator of PFS and OS (HR of 1.12, p = 0.029; HR of 1.84, p = 0.025). Kaplan–Meier survival curves further confirmed that patients with low serum YKL-40 have longer PFS and OS (p = 0.016 and p = 0.041, respectively). These results suggest that YKL-40 is a potential prognostic marker of chemotherapy response in SCLC.
Obesity or Overweight Is Associated with Worse Pathological Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy among Chinese Women with Breast Cancer

Abstract: Background To evaluate the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT) for breast cancer among Chinese women. Patients and Methods A total of 307 eligible patients were assigned to receive four cycles of paclitaxel and carboplatin before standard surgery for breast cancer from 2007 to 2011 at Shanghai Cancer Hospital. The patients were categorized as obese, overweight, normal weight, or underweight based on BMI according to World Health Organization (WHO) criteria. Pathological complete response (pCR) was defined as no invasive cancer in the breast or axillary tissue. A logistic regression and the Chi-squared test were used for detecting the predictors of pCR and determining the relationship between BMI category and pCR rate in the subgroup analysis with respect to other variables. Results Categorical BMI, estrogen receptor (ER), and progesterone receptor (PR) status were independent predictors of pCR according to the multivariate analysis. Patients with BMI≥25 were less likely to achieve a pCR to NCT compared with patients with BMI<25 (Odds ratio: 0.454, p = 0.033, multivariate analysis). In the subgroup analysis, the predictive value of BMI for pCR to NCT was significantly shown in post-menopausal patients (p = 0.004) and hormonal receptor status-negative patients (p = 0.038). The incidence of treatment-induced toxicity was similar among the different BMI categories. Conclusion Higher BMI was associated with worse pCR to NCT. Further approaches to investigating the mechanism of this influence of BMI on treatment response and a more appropriate schedule for calculating NCT dose for high-BMI-patients should be considered.
