Abstract: this article reports on the experiences of the human rights in schools project in the creation and conduction of a teacher education course aiming at the dissemination of the ideals and values of human rights, democracy and citizenship as guiding principles for each and every school practice, and not just for pedagogical discourses. it must be said that such objective constitutes a great challenge, given the historical features of the brazilian school and of the brazilian society at large. against the backdrop of that challenge, the text summarizes the principles, activities, and reflections resulting from the most significant experiences of the first three years of work of this project in schools belonging to the state and municipal networks in the cities of s?o paulo and osasco. among other things, this article presents the different forms assumed by the above-mentioned course given the difficulty in shaping activities capable of turning school's everyday practices into an object of reflection for those directly involved in the act of educating, as well as for the school institution as a whole. it also points out important features engendered by this teacher continuing education proposal in its search for answers to the challenges currently faced by the brazilian school in fulfilling its public role.

Abstract: this work develops a reflection on recent figures of the brazilian cultural modernity to remark the formative sense that the aesthetic experience can take in education. specifically, it discusses the brazilian song form and the specificities of songsters that elaborate an aesthetic experience from s?o paulo city by exploring the song as a narrative form. the research depicts critical moments of the city development, and ponders on different aesthetic experiences as formative experiences especially significant for the young. the popular song is a hybrid form (music and literature) that allows a connection between individual experiences and a possibility of a collective communicative experience (of a generation), essential for the youngsters′ affirmative condition in the contemporary society. thus, songs are considered as daily rites with the power to confirm or deny the subject in the tense and contradictory metropolitan culture as it decants (and praises) urban experience.

Abstract: Busca-se pensar partes do processo de forma o territorial do hoje Mato Grosso do Sul através do diálogo com a obra memorialística A Poeira da Jornada: memórias (1980), escrita por Demosthenes Martins. A presente interpreta o discursiva apresenta-se profícua por possibilitar entender como determinado grupo social - representado pelo autor das referidas memórias - pensou as formas/os conteúdos com que a espacialidade se apresentou antes e durante um período (1964-1979) do Regime Militar brasileiro. The article intents to think parts of the territorial formation′s process of today′s Mato Grosso do Sul through the dialogue with the memorialistic book A Poeira da Jornada: Memórias (1980), written by Demosthenes Martins. This discursive interpretation is useful because it allows to understand how do a social group -represented by the book′s writter - thought forms/contents that spatiality showed before and during a period of time (1964-1979) of the Military Regime in Brazil.

Abstract: People normally believe that Arithmetic is not complete because GÖdel launched this idea a long time ago, and it looks as if nobody has presented sound evidence on the contrary. We here intend to do that perhaps for the first time in history. We prove that what Stanford Encyclopedia has referred to as Theorem 3 cannot be true, and, therefore, if nothing else is presented in favour of GÖdel’s thesis, we actually do not have evidence on the incompleteness of Arithmetic: All available evidence seems to point at the extremely opposite direction.

Abstract: In Brazil, the reference for the preparation of homeopathic remedies is Brazilian Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia, recognized by the Brazilian Board of Health. The Manual of Technical Norms for homeopathic pharmacy (MNT) is a publication of the Brazilian Association of Homeopathic Pharmacists (ABFH) and comprises all actualizations and corrections concerning homeopathicpharmacotechnics to attend the homeopathic pharmacists' needs. The present paper presents the results of a research conducted among homeopathic pharmacies in the states of Espirito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, concerning the impregnation of globules, using a questionnaire with direct and specific questions. It was concluded that pharmacies tend to comply with procedures described in MNT 3rd edition.

Abstract: two species of aplysina nardo, 1834 are described in this article, aplysina caissara sp. n. and a. fulva (pallas, 1766). additionally, a possible third species was identified as a. aff. cauliformis. collections were done in the s?o sebasti?o channel area as an ongoing effort to assess the poriferan biodiversity of the northern sector of the s?o paulo state coastline. specimens were collected by scuba diving, and descriptions of external morphology are based on the observation of populations alive, and on extensive underwater photography. a literature review of other brazilian records of aplysina was undertaken, and an ammended species list is offered.

Abstract: OBJETIVO: Descrever e analisar os significados atribuídos por um grupo de adolescente à saúde ambiental. MéTODOS: Estudo de abordagem qualitativa, descritivo, exploratório, que utilizou a pesquisa-a o em uma escola pública do interior do Ceará, que se encontra nas proximidades da constru o de uma usina termoelétrica a carv o mineral. Foram utilizados a observa o livre, o diário de campo e a abordagem grupal, esta por meio da técnica do desenho história com tema, tendo como eixo norteador a quest o: O que você entende como saúde ambiental? RESULTADOS: Emergiram discuss es a respeito da interferência do homem na natureza, malefícios das fábricas, desenvolvimento sustentável e risco da polui o na comunidade. CONCLUS O: Constatou-se que o enfermeiro pode ser um educador ambiental e atuar nesse espa o, favorecendo momentos de reflex o sobre a es comprometidas com o lócus socioambiental. Fueron utilizados la observación libre, el diario de campo y el abordaje grupal, esta última por medio de la técnica del dibujo de una historia con tema, teniendo como eje norteador la pregunta: Qué entiende ud.como salud ambiental? RESULTADOS: Emergieron discusiones respecto a la interferencia del hombre en la naturaleza, da o de las fábricas, desarrollo sustentable y riesgo de contaminación en la comunidad. CONCLUSIóN: Se constató que el enfermero puede ser un educador ambiental y actuar en ese espacio, favoreciendo momentos de reflexión sobre acciones comprometidas con el locus socioambiental. Abstract: Objective: to reflect about nursing care in environmental health. Methodology: reflective study that was conducted from August to November 2008, through weekly discussions during the course Research Methodology Program Graduate in Nursing, Federal University of Ceará, with the referrals articles, book chapters and resolutions on thematic care, nursing and environmental health. Results: we observed the necessity of professional commitment in the reduction of risks to the ecosystem, damages to ecological and population welfare. In face of this, health promotion is clearly expressed in man's relationship with the environment, showing the importance of environmental health as a direct human health. It appears that there are many factors involved and there is still need for shared responsibility, which includes the commitment of the professional. Conclusion: in this scenario, the professional nursing should take their cooperation through a careful committed to environmental health, especially in relation to solid waste management of health services, but also intervene in the poor management of such waste, both for preventive actions as corrective.
