Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira , 2004,
Abstract: Species of the Trichogramma genus are among the most important ones for biological control. The objective of this research was to evaluate parasitism potential of two species of Trichogramma on eggs of Anagasta kuheniella through life fertility table, at temperatures between 15oC and 35oC. These species were collected in the State of Espírito Santo parasitising eggs of the avocado defoliator Nipteria panacea. Trichogramma pretiosum and T. acacioi showed adequate reproductive potential between 15oC and 35oC which indicates possibilities of using them in biological control programs in avocado plantations.

The effect of time different periods was compared without host in the Trichogramma atopovirilia (Hym.: Trichogrammatidae) reproducitive characteristics fed or not. Anagasta kuehniella (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) and Sitotroga cerealella (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) eggs they were used as hosts, being exposed to that parasitoid females after 0, 6, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 or 96 hours. T. atopovirilia females, fed and sponged the hosts eggs up to 96 hours without the same ones. However, the parasitism happened until the period of 24 hours in A. kuehniella and 48 hours with S. cerealella when not fed. The T. atopovirilia parasitism, the emergency and the sexual reason were similar in A. kuehniella eggs, but with the increase of the period without that host, it decreases along the time, with S. cerealella in a similar way it was observed for those not fed. The food was the principal factor that affected in the T. atopovirilia parasitism.

Abstract: the objective of this investigation was to study trichogramma pretiosum and t. acacioi (hymenoptera: trichogrammatidae), parasitoids of the avocado defoliator nipteria panacea (lepidoptera: geometridae) on the eggs of the alternative host anagasta kuehniella (lepidoptera: pyralidae) aiming to use them for biological control of this pest in avocado orchards. the cubic model presented better adjustment for duration of the life cycle of t. pretiosum and t. acacioi with the host a. kuehniella which shows that development rate of these species increases with temperature within the range tested. the number of individuals of both trichogramma species emerged per egg from this host was higher than one. the quadratic model was significant for viability of t. pretiosum and t. acacioi. this parameter was more affected by extreme temperatures and higher emergence rates of adults of both parasitoids species occurred at temperatures of 20, 25 and 30°c.

Abstract: this research studied the thermal requirements of trichogramma pretiosum and t. acacioi (hymenoptera: trichogrammatidae), parasitoids of nipteria panacea (lepidoptera: geometridae), with eggs of the alternative hosts anagasta kuehniella (lepidoptera: pyralidae) and sitotroga cerealella (lepidoptera: gelechiidae) aiming to use these natural enemies in biological control programs of this pest in avocado orchards. t. pretiosum needed 151.83 and 160.04 degree-days, above threshold of 10.70 and 10.75°c, while these values were 158.50 and 155.46 degree-days, above threshold of 10.67 and 10.46°c for t. acacioi when exposed to eggs of a. kuehniella and s. cerealella, respectively.

Abstract: the parasitism capacity of trichogramma exiguum pinto & platner, 1978 (hymenoptera: trichogrammatidae) on eggs of plutella xylostella (l., 1758) (lepidoptera: plutellidae) was studied, under temperatures of 18, 20, 22, 25, 28, 30 and 32°c aiming at evaluating the number of days with parasitism, cumulated parasitism, total number of eggs parasited per female and their longevity. parasitism during the first 24 hours ranged from 1.5 to 11.7 eggs of p. xylostella per t. exiguum female in the range of 18 to 32°c. cumulated egg parasitism of p. xylostella by t. exiguum reached 80% after 10, 7, 8, 5, 5, 4 and 5 days at 18, 20, 22, 25, 28, 30 and 32°c. higher parasitism rates were recorded at 25, 30 and 32°c while longevity of t. exiguum females varied from 4.2 to 7.4 days under temperatures of 18 to 32°c.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate the parasitism capacity of trichogramma pretiosum riley and t. acacioi brun, moraes and soares (hymenoptera: trichogrammatidae) in eggs of the alternative host sitotroga cerealella (olivier) (lepidoptera: gelechiidae) aiming to use both species in biological control programs of nipteria panacea tierry-mieg (lepidoptera: geometridae). the parasitism rhythm and total parasitism of these parasitoid species were affected by the temperature with higher values during the first 24 h of their life. parasitism period was longer for t. pretiosum and t. acacioi at the lowest temperature.
Autoficción, una polémica literaria vista desde los márgenes (Borges, Gombrowicz, Copi, Aira)
Amícola,José;
Olivar , 2008,
Abstract: the present pages trace back the origin of the term 'autofiction', showing how this neologism, being offered as a way to articulate a new kind of reflexivity, is central to the operation followed by texts that propose a strange amalgam between the autobiographical and the novel. two other issues are also at stake here: the sudden success enjoyed by the term 'autofiction'; and the role played by the literature made in argentina, or related to this country, for the diffusión of that word. the debate will be reopened when considering novels written by two of borges' antagonists: gombrowicz and copi. the uses of their proper names for the characters of their novels should shed light on the entire question of the autofiction of the postmodern times.
Los gauchos insufribles
Amícola,José;
Revista Pilquen , 2010,
Abstract: the article begins with a reflection about the notion of border in the latinoamerican literary field, taking as issue the moment of passage of the urban inhabitant to the rural region, that in many cases of the argentine literatura is given as a rite de passage made on the train, seen hier as a fractal of the entire construction. the searching for the rural peace of an individual with a metropolitan culture gives opportunity to present a cultural shock and also a symbolical search of roots. this ur-scene of the hispano-american texts is used by bola?o in his short story "el gaucho insufrible" in order to make a parody of the argentine rural style, addressing his critics to the artificial way of every literary construction, in this case the gauchesca literary genre that in argentina was seen as the "patriotic genre". realism and tradition are modified by bola?o's post modern writing which gives a mighty knock on the head of every literary certainty.
