Análise cladística e biogeografia de Ochlerini (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Discocephalinae)
Campos, Luiz A.;Grazia, Jocélia;
Iheringia. Série Zoologia , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0073-47212006000200004
Abstract: a cladistic analysis using 63 characters and 30 genera of the neotropical tribe ochlerini rolston was performed to test their monophyletic condition and to establish a relationship hypothesis. janeirona distant, 1911 (pentatomini) and the tribes discocephalini and halyini were included in the ingroup to test their relationship with ochlerini; marghita ruckes, 1964 and stictochilus bergroth, 1918 (pentatomini) were used as outgroups. the obtained strict consensus cladograms indicate that ochlerini and discocephalinae are monophyletic groups, but pentatominae, halyini+ochlerini, pentatomini+ochlerini, ochlerus spinola, 1837, stalius rolston, 1992 and alitocoris sailer, 1950 are merophyletic groups. discocephalini and ochlerini share three synapomorphies: first rostral segment long, attaining prosternum; metasternum with a mesial, longitudinal carina, and dorsal surface of basal third of male proctiger membranous. ochlerini is supported by one synapomorphy, the flattened dorsal surface of third tarsal segment of hind legs, in females. biogeographical analysis based on consensus cladograms shows congruent patterns with several vicariant events proposed for the neotropical region.
Descri??o de um novo gênero de Ochlerini Rolston (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Discocephalinae)
Campos, Luiz Alexandre;Grazia, Jocélia;
Revista Brasileira de Zoologia , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-81752000000300022
Abstract: the genus similiforstona, gen.n. and its type species similiforstona bella, sp.n. are described from rond?nia, brazil. s. bella is based on a single female specimen. similiforstona is very similar to forstona rolston, 1992 differing basically on the antennal structure.
Revis?o de Parentheca Berg (Heteroptera, Pentatomidae, Pentatomini)
Campos, Luiz Alexandre;Grazia, Jocélia;
Revista Brasileira de Zoologia , 1999, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-81751999000300008
Abstract: the neotropical genus parentheca berg, 1891 is revised and redescribed with emphasis on male and female genitalia, and placed into "section 1" of pentatomini which includes those genera lacking a basal spine or tubercle at the abdominal venter. parentheca subfurcata berg, 1891 (type species) and parentheca aeliomorpha berg, 1891, both from argentina are redescribed, also with emphasis on male and female genitalia, which are fully illustrated. the lectotype and paralectotype of p. aeliomorpha are designated.

Zoologia (Curitiba) , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-46702010000300014
Abstract: one hundred and forty specimens of neotropical pentatomids of the spinola collection were examined and identified and are listed in the present work. lectotypes are designated for arvelius gladiator spinola, 1837; arvelius laciniatus spinola, 1837; audinetella bipunctata spinola, 1850; ochlerus cinctus spinola, 1837; pentatoma albocostatum spinola, 1852; pentatoma dimidiaticollis (spinola, 1852); pentatoma unidentatum spinola, 1852; schaefferella litigiosa spinola, 1850, sympiezorhincus tristis spinola, 1837; and thoreyella brasiliensis spinola, 1850. a lectotype is also designated for chlorocoris tau, putting aside the previous neotype designation. the preservation status of each specimen is provided.
Revision of Cataulax Spinola, with Architas Distant as a new synonymy (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae: Discocephalini)
Grazia, Jocélia;Campos, Luiz A.;Becker, Miriam;
Anais da Sociedade Entomológica do Brasil , 2000, DOI: 10.1590/S0301-80592000000300010
Abstract: five species are here recognized for the genus cataulax spinola, 1837: cataulax eximius (st?l, 1860), cataulax froeschneri, n. sp., cataulax pudens (distant 1889), cataulax radians, n. sp. and cataulax subtiliterconspersus, n. sp. cataulax pudens is transferred from architas distant, 1889, here considered a junior synonym of cataulax. cataulax annulicornis walker, 1868, cataulax punctipes walker, 1868 and cataulax subvittatus walker, 1868 are considered incertae sedis.

Análise faunística de espécies de moscas-das-frutas (Diptera: Tephritidae) na regi?o Oeste de Santa Catarina
Garcia, Flávio R.M.;Campos, Jocélia V.;Corseuil, Elio;
Neotropical Entomology , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S1519-566X2003000300006
Abstract: in order to characterize the ecosystems of fruit trees of the west region of santa catarina state in relation to the tephritidae species from twelve different fruit species grown in orchards located in four counties (chapecó, cunha por?, s?o carlos and xanxerê), mcphail traps, baited with glucose 10%, were used to sample flies, from october 1998 to september 2000. to characterize the faunistic fruit flies populations of each county, the abundance index, constancy, dominance and frequency of fruit flies population were analyzed. a total of 8,393 specimens of fruit flies were collected, belonging to 20 species in seven genera. in chapecó, 17 fruit flies were sampled, corresponding to an index of diversity of 2.0, followed by cunha por? with ten species and an index of 1.5. in xanxerê the index was 1.1 to eight species. the smallest index was found in s?o carlos (0.9), to seven species. ceratitis capitata (wied.) was found accidental in almost all the orchards, with exception to one orange orchard in s?o carlos, where it was accessory. anastrepha fraterculus (wied.) was the predominant species in the four counties.
