Abstract: This study analyzed the potential impact of the increased oil volatility on the industries and the global economy. Specifically, it separated the oil price fluctuations into positive and negative components, and modeled the return of industry portfolios with them. Next, the sensitivity of the airline industry to oil price was investigated to gauge the effectiveness of their hedging strategies, with the hope that the methodology can be extended to other industries. In addition, this paper explored the macroeconomic impact of oil price movements by examining the benchmarks such as GDP and CPI.

Abstract: The change in internal friction and frequency associated with the bainitic transformation in a Cu-25.83Zn-3.96Al(by wt-%)alloy was conducted by a new type of instrument under isothermalholding with 0.7 Hz. Results show that the internal friction exists a maximum value Q_(max)~(-1) within the incubation period. Q_(max)~(-1) increases with the raise of the isothermal temperature, and the time up to Q_(max)~(-1) decreases with the increment of the holding temperature. The frequency value is lowest at the initial time until it reaches a stable value. While the specimen is measured under a tension of 8×10~5Pa, Q_(max)~(-1) is far larger, the time up to Q_(max)~(-1) is shorter and the initial frequency value decreases more abruptly than that under the above unloading condition. The bainitie transfromation of the alloy exists a lattice softening phenomenon somewhat similar to that in thermal elastic martensitic transformation. The prebainitic transformation within the incubation period of the bainitic transformation occurs basically with the nucleation pro cess. Based upon the theory of phase transformation and the theory of local softening mode, a rule of the change in isothermal internal friction can be interpreted through the change of the nucleation rate within the incubation period.

Abstract: Previous studies have shown that small-sized retailers have weak competitiveness. This paper is intended to explore why they can survive in the market for a long time. It is proven that compared with large chain retailers, small-sized retailers are advantageous in employee utilization and gross margin despite of their weakness in commodity purchase and space utilization. Previous studies also reveal that small-sized retailers are significantly fewer in commercially developed regions than commercially underdeveloped regions, suggesting that it becomes harder for small-sized retailers to survive in the market along with gradual improvement of commercial facilities.

Composition, Anti bacter ial and Antioxidant Activities of Essential Oils from Ligusticum sinense and L . jeholense (Umbelliferae) from China

Abstract: The essential oils were obtained by hydro-distillation from the roots and rhizomes of two umbelliferous species Ligusticum sinense and L. jeholense. They were analyzed for their chemical composition by GC and GC-MS. 5-Oxo-δ-4-decahydrobenzindene (50.1%), ligustilide (16.4%), β-phellandrene (7.8%), myristicine (5.5%), and spathulenol (3.3%) were the major compounds of the 25 identified components which accounted for 96.6% of the total oil of L. sinense. m-Diaminobenzene (68.2%), ligustilide (10.1%), and p-vinylguaiacol (3.5%) were the major compounds of the 29 identified components which accounted for 92.7% of the total oil of L. jeholense. The essential oils were assayed to exhibit antibacterial activity with the MBC values ranged from 150 μg/mL to 350 μg/mL, MIC values from 62.5 μg/mL to 300 μg/mL, and IC 50 values from 43.53 μg/mL to 197.49 μg/mL. Two oils inhibited both the DPPH radical scavenging and β-carotene-linoleic acid oxidation in a dose dependent manner. The antibacterial activity of L. sinense oil was stronger than that of L. jeholense oil. Contrarily, the antioxidant activity of L. jeholense oil was stronger than that of L. sinense oil. The results showed that the isolated essential oils have potential for development as natural antimicrobial or antioxidant agents
The Retrospective Analysis of Different Therapies on 150 Elderly Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

Abstract: Background and objective There is still no standard regiment for the treatment of advanced elderly patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The aim of this study is to explore the best method for the advanced elderly NSCLC patients by analyzing the efficacy and toxicity of cisplatin combined chemotherapy, docetaxel chemotherapy and the best support care (BSC). Methods One hundred and fifty elderly NSCLC patients (≥65 years) with different treatments from March 2003 to March 2007 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The objective response rate (ORR) was 41.2% in cisplatin combined chemotherapy, which was significantly higher than 20.0% in docetaxel chemotherapy (P <0.05). Median survival time (MST) was 10.7 months, 9.2 months and 6.3 months, and one year survival rate was 39.7%, 36.7% and 17.3%, respectively in cisplatin combined chemotherapy, docetaxel chemotherapy and the best support care. MST was significantly longer (P <0.05) and one year survival rate was significantly higher (P <0.05) in the patients with chemotherapy than that with best support care. There was no significant difference of MST and one year survival between cisplatin combined chemotherapy and docetaxel chemotherapy (P >0.05). Grade 3-4 toxicity was more serious in cisplatin combined group than that in docetaxel group (P <0.05). Conclusion Chemotherapy can prolong the survival time in elderly NSCLC patients. Even though the ORR is higher in cisplatin combined chemotherapy than that in docetaxel chemotherapy, there was no significant difference of MST and one year survival between cisplatin combined chemotherapy and docetaxel chemotherapy (P >0.05), which may due to the more serious toxicity. Docetaxel chemotherapy should be one of the standard regiment for the elderly NSCLC patients.

Abstract: New energy vehicle is a technological revolution in the automotive industry, which has changed the pattern of the original automotive industry to a certain extent. Nowadays, energy consumption and environmental pollution are becoming more and more serious, therefore new energy vehicles are becoming the trend of future industry development. Governments spare no efforts to promote new energy vehicles. In the case of its broad market prospects, the market gives new energy automotive enterprises a cold response. In addition to the heading companies, such as Tesla, small new energy automobile companies are still struggling to increase market share. Based on this, this paper mainly focuses on the marketing strategy of SL New Energy Automobile Company. Firstly, we overview the marketing theory, and introduce the SL new energy automobile company. Then we use PEST (Politics, Economy, Society, Technology) and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to analyze the macro and micro environment of SL company. Then we use STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) to decide the target market selection and positioning. Finally, we put forward the marketing strategy from the four aspects of SL company’s product, price, place and promotion. Through this paper, we hope to have better marketing suggestions for enterprise managers, and hope to help the new energy automobile enterprise to promote market share.
