Study on Chinese Rural Drinking Water Option and Its Pricing  [PDF]

Abstract: The problems of Chinese rural drinking water have existed for a long time and are deteriorating. Determining the price of rural drinking water is beneficial for solving these problems to some extent. Therefore, this article makes appropriate study on rural drinking water option and its pricing model. Based on the theories of options and water option, we make description on the connotation of rural drinking water option and its trading principle as well as main entities. In addition, on the basis of traditional Black-Scholes option pricing model and the actual situation of rural drinking water, we construct rural drinking water option pricing model from different aspects. With the guiding price of rural drinking water option, it can realize the optimum allocation of rural drinking water resource on the market.

The aim of this paper is to research the establishment of Chinese rural drinking water market. On the basis of prior research on rural drinking water and water market, we study the market establishment and analyze trading elements, procedure and modes of Chinese rural drinking water market. Then we explore the operating mechanism of the market, such as the supply and demand mechanism, the price mechanism, the competition mechanism and the support mechanism. This study will conduce to the optimization of the allocation of water resources.

Coexistence Evaluation of LTE with Active Antenna System  [PDF]

Abstract: Due to the new radio architecture of Active Antenna System (AAS), the LTE BS equipped with AAS will have more flexible RF planning than that equipped with passive antenna. However, the new RF characteristic of AAS will have potential impacts on the existing BS RF requirements, which is imperative to be evaluated. In this paper, general antenna pattern and spatial Adjacent Channel Leakage Ratio (ACLR) are introduced considering the new RF features of AAS, and the impacts of AAS on BS performance are analyzed based on the AAS fundamental applications. System-level coexistence simulation is conducted to evaluate the RF features of transmitter and receiver of AAS on BS performance. Simulation results show that RF feature of spatial ACLR of AAS transmitter has little impact on throughput loss in victim system and ACLR of 45 dB per transmitter of AAS can fully meet the coexistence requirement; RF feature of in-band blocking level of individual receiver of AAS is higher than that of receiver of BS equipped with passive antenna around 1-4 dB, which imposes harder requirement to design the channel selection filter in the individual receiver of AAS, thus in-band blocking requirement needs to be redefined for AAS BS in the existing 3GPP specification.

Abstract: First, combined with relevant theories of modern investment decision-making, this paper took AS power engineering project of ZC Company for instance, analyzed objective function of power engineering investment structure in ZC Company. Second, this paper analyzed investment decision-making structure of AS power engineering project in ZC Company, and obtained specific results of investment decision-making, and the related results were verified. Through analysis and exploration, this paper has a scientific impact on ZC Company for the AS power project investment, while it’s hoped that it can play a role in electric power engineering projects of other companies in China. So it can better promote the development of electrical engineering investment in electrical industry.
The effects of lunch time napping on habitual nappers’ mental work efficiency in the afternoon and early evening: an empirical study from China  [PDF]

Abstract: 30 college students who have the habit of lunch time napping (LTN) participated in experiments under two different conditions: Having lunch time napping and not having lunch time napping. They were asked to complete three tasks in-cluding vigilance reaction, short-term memory, addition arithmetic; their performance was re-corded automatically by computer during 3 dif-ferent periods in the afternoon and early eve-ning. The analysis about the experimental data showed that: as for habitual nappers, midafter-noon nap zone existed, LTN played a very im-portant role in overcoming it, and did great help in enhancing their vigilance in the afternoon and early evening, however, LTN didn’t bring sig-nificant positive effect to executing complex tasks (such as short-term memory and addition task) at the periods of time 16:30-17:30, 20:00- 21:00. Finally, this article discussed the conclu-sions and its significance.

Abstract: The phenomenological description of propagation of atomic matter waves inside a curved atom wave guide is presented based on the effective action principle. The evolutions in both temporal and spatial domains for the atomic matter wave in the presence of guiding potential fields (classical and quantized) are considered. The coherent control of three-level atomic matter waves in a wave guide by an external controlling light is briefly discussed. The concepts of {\it atomic matter-wave bandgap structure} in a spatially periodic guiding field ({\it e.g.}, the interior potential of carbon peapod which can trap both atoms and light) and {\it optical lattice bandgap medium} are suggested.
A Novel Multi-Aperture Based Sun Sensor Based on a Fast Multi-Point MEANSHIFT (FMMS) Algorithm

Abstract: With the current increased widespread interest in the development and applications of micro/nanosatellites, it was found that we needed to design a small high accuracy satellite attitude determination system, because the star trackers widely used in large satellites are large and heavy, and therefore not suitable for installation on micro/nanosatellites. A Sun sensor + magnetometer is proven to be a better alternative, but the conventional sun sensor has low accuracy, and cannot meet the requirements of the attitude determination systems of micro/nanosatellites, so the development of a small high accuracy sun sensor with high reliability is very significant. This paper presents a multi-aperture based sun sensor, which is composed of a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) mask with 36 apertures and an active pixels sensor (APS) CMOS placed below the mask at a certain distance. A novel fast multi-point MEANSHIFT (FMMS) algorithm is proposed to improve the accuracy and reliability, the two key performance features, of an APS sun sensor. When the sunlight illuminates the sensor, a sun spot array image is formed on the APS detector. Then the sun angles can be derived by analyzing the aperture image location on the detector via the FMMS algorithm. With this system, the centroid accuracy of the sun image can reach 0.01 pixels, without increasing the weight and power consumption, even when some missing apertures and bad pixels appear on the detector due to aging of the devices and operation in a harsh space environment, while the pointing accuracy of the single-aperture sun sensor using the conventional correlation algorithm is only 0.05 pixels.
Comparative Analysis of Protein Expression Concomitant with DNA Methyltransferase 3A Depletion in a Melanoma Cell Line  [PDF]

Abstract: DNA methyltransferase 3A (Dnmt3a), a de novo methyltransferase, has attracted a great deal of attention for its important role played in tumorigenesis. We have previously demonstrated that melanoma is unable to grow in-vivo in conditions of Dnmt3a depletion in a mouse model. In this study, we cultured the Dnmt3a depletion B16 melanoma (Dnmt3a-D) cell line to conduct a comparative analysis of protein expression con-comitant with Dnmt3a depletion in a melanoma cell line. After two-dimensional separation, by gel electro-phoresis and liquid chromatography, combined with mass spectrometry analysis (1DE-LC-MS/MS), the re-sults demonstrated that 467 proteins were up-regulated and 535 proteins were down-regulated in the Dnmt3a-D cell line compared to the negative control (NC) cell line. The Genome Ontology (GO) and KEGG pathway were used to further analyze the altered proteins. KEGG pathway analysis indicated that the MAPK signaling pathway exhibited a greater alteration in proteins, an interesting finding due to the close relation-ship with tumorigenesis. The results strongly suggested that Dnmt3a potentially controls the process of tu-morigenesis through the regulation of the proteins (JNK1, p38α, ERK1, ERK2, and BRAF) involved in tu-mor-related pathways, such as the MAPK signaling pathway and melanoma pathway.
Adaptive Sliding Mode Control of Single-Phase Shunt Active Power Filter

Abstract: This paper presents a thorough study of the adaptive sliding mode technique with application to single-phase shunt active power filter (APF). Based on the basic principle of single-phase shunt APF, the approximate dynamic model is derived. A model reference adaptive sliding mode control algorithm is proposed to implement the harmonic compensation for the single-phase shunt APF. This method will use the tracking error of harmonic and APF current as the control input and adopt the tracking error of reference model and APF output as the control objects of adaptive sliding mode. In the reference current track loop, a novel adaptive sliding mode controller is implemented to tracking the reference currents, thus improving harmonic treating performance. Simulation results demonstrate the satisfactory control performance and rapid compensation ability of the proposed control approach under different conditions of the nonlinear load current distortion and the mutation load, respectively.
