Silva, Jaqueline Alcantara Marcelino da;Peduzzi, Marina;
Saúde e Sociedade , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-12902011000400018
Abstract: health work and work education are a double dimension - instrumental action and intersubjectivity. objective: to analyze the conceptions of education that support educational activities of health care workers in primary health care. method: this qualitative study was conducted in two primary health care units (phcu) in s?o paulo, through semi-structured interviews with 36 key informants representing each professional category, including managers and health care workers. data were analyzed based on thematic content analysis and on the theoretical framework: the healthcare work process, theory of communicative action, continuing education (ce), permanent education in health (peh) and integrality (comprehensive approach), which allowed the construction of the empirical categories: instrumental/traditional education and communicative/emancipatory education. results: the results show the prevailing notion of work education as a collective construction of knowledge from the reality of work, relevant to the peh that is intended to be introduced in order to change the practices and the biomedical health care model. however, some interviewed subjects expressed an instrumental conception of education that emphasizes technical actions and knowledge updating, which is closer to ce. conclusion: results show the coexistence of the two conceptions of workers' education: instrumental and communicative, with the predominance of the second one, which shows the reach of the peh policy among the health workers of phcu and the need for deepening the discussion to consolidate educational practice in daily work.
Growth and survival of silver catfish larvae, Rhamdia quelen (Heptapteridae), at different calcium and magnesium concentrations
Silva, Lenise Vargas Flores da;Golombieski, Jaqueline Ineu;Baldisserotto, Bernardo;
Neotropical Ichthyology , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S1679-62252005000200008
Abstract: since the relative ratios of ca2+ and mg2+ can vary greatly from one water body to another, and lime used for the increase of water hardness or ph can have different ratios of ca2+ and mg2+ in its composition, the objective of this study was to analyze the growth and survival of silver catfish, rhamdia quelen, larvae at different calcium and magnesium concentrations. after fertilization, eggs were randomly divided into 4 treatments (three replicates per treatment) with different concentrations of ca2+ and mg2+ at hardness values of 70 mg.l-1 caco3 (mg.l-1 : 5.2 ca2+ and 14.12 mg2+; 13.11 ca2+ and 7.11 mg2+; 20.26 ca2+ and 2.86 mg2+; 24.95 ca2+ and 0.95 mg2+) and 150 mg.l-1 caco3 (mg.l-1 : 5.2 ca2+ and 32.70 mg2+; 28.63 ca2+ and 16.44 mg2+; 44.68 ca2+and 6.44 mg2+; 62.78 ca2+ and 0.95 mg2+). there was also another group exposed to water hardness of 20 mg.l-1 caco3 (ca2+ 5.2 mg.l-1 and mg2+ 0.95 mg.l-1) at both experiments. the post-hatch larvae were transferred to continuously aerated 40 l polyethylene aquaria (400 larvae/tank) containing the same water as used for incubation. samples of larvae were collected on days 0, 7, 14, and 21, and the length, weight, and specific growth rate were determined for each collection. survival and biomass were calculated on day 21. at water hardness of 70 mg.l-1 caco3, the best survival and growth of silver catfish larvae was observed at water with 20.26 mg.l-1 ca2+ and 2.89 mg.l-1 mg2+, with similar results to the group exposed to water hardness of 20 mg.l-1 caco3. however, compared to the group exposed to water hardness of 20 mg.l-1 caco3, survival and growth were lower at 150 mg.l-1 caco3. therefore, a hardness range of 20 to 70 mg.l-1 caco3 is recommended for silver catfish larviculture, but with 20.26 mg.l-1 ca2+ and 2.89 mg.l-1 mg2+ at 70 mg.l-1 caco3. water hardness of 150 mg.l-1 caco3 is not recommended for this species.

Acta Botanica Brasilica , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-33062006000200016
Abstract: twenty eight specific and infra-specific taxa of the genera euglena ehr. and lepocinclis perty are presented as a result of phytoplankton and periphyton study in lentic systems next to lagoa do casamento (30o03'- 30o34's and 50o25'- 50o47'w) and butiazal de tapes (30o23'- 30o38's and 51o16'- 51o29'w), coastal zone of rio grande do sul state. samples were collected in autumn and spring seasons in 2003. the swamps associated to lagoa do casamento in spring of 2003 presented more specific richness of these two genera. lepocinclis salina fritsch var. salina distinguished by its distribution, occuring in 41,2% of the analized samples. two taxa are new records for the state and brazil: l. playfairiana defl. var. playfairiana and l. boseensis xie, qiu & ling.

Acta Botanica Brasilica , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-33062008000300007
Abstract: a survey of the genus phacus duj. (pigmented euglenophyceae) undertaken in two areas located in the northern portion of patos lagoon - lake casamento and associated ecosystems (30o03' - 30o34's; 50o25' - 50o47'w) and ecosystems near butiazal de tapes (30o23' - 30o38's; 51o16' - 51o29'w), revealed 37 specific and infra-specific taxa for this genus. the study aim was to increase knowledge of this genus in rio grande do sul's coastal zone. the local climate is humid subtropical. the qualitative samples were collected in autumn and winter spring of 2003, on the banks of ponds, lakes, and marshes. of the taxa identified, nine are new citations for the state while phacus agilis skuja var. inversa bour., phacus asymetricus sokoloff, phacus elegans pochm., phacus orbicularis hübner f. communis pop. and phacus rostafinskii drez. were reported for the first time in brazil. all taxa are accompanied by maximum and minimum variations in air and water temperature, ph, and conductivity at the site where each taxon occurred.

Práxis Educativa , 2012,
Abstract: This paper approaches the need for pedagogical work within the scope of Rural Education, mainly Mathematics teaching. It seeks to justify the defense of a differentiated work, which takes as its starting point, the students’ mathematical knowledge and allows its broadening in such a way that the mathematical knowledge acquired is really useful in their everyday life. Taking the Rural Education Curricular Guidelines into account, this study presents the main points for the development of a dialectic mediation methodology, which establishes relations between the different knowledge of teachers and students, so that the students can overcome their immediate knowledge of the world, through mathematical knowledge historically built by humankind.
