Abstract: the research of qualitative nature, descriptive type had as objective to identify the obstetric nurses' practices and to discuss their effects during the childbirth, under the women's optics. twelve women had been part of the study, having as instrument of collect of data a semi structured interview. data analysis showed that women recognized the affectionate attitude, the corporal movement and the presence of companion as the main non-invasive technologies used during the childbirth work, in the house. as for their effects, the women realized that technologies favored their internal potentials at the time of making their own decisions. besides, they identified the nurses' practices of the house as determinants for them have not discouraged during the childbirth work. the posture and the use by the nurses of non-invasive technologies contribute to a better perception of the women about her childbirth's process.

Budel, Jane M.;Duarte, Márcia R.;
Revista Brasileira de Farmacognosia , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-695X2008000500022
Abstract: the genus baccharis belongs to the family asteraceae and includes medicinal species. baccharis anomala dc., popularly known as "uva-do-mato" and "cambará-do-cipó" in portuguese, is used as diuretic in folk medicine and phytochemical studies have demonstrated the presence of tannins and saponins. this work has aimed at studying the macro and microscopic aspects of the leaf and stem of this species. the botanical material was prepared according to standard light and scanning microtechniques. the leaf blade has uniseriate epidermis coated with a thin and striate cuticle. anomocytic stomata are encountered on the abaxial surface. on both sides there are two types of non-glandular trichomes. they are multicellular and uniseriate, one type ending with an acute apical cell and the other with a flagelliform cell. the mesophyll is isobilateral and the midrib is plain-convex, being traversed by one collateral vascular bundle. the petiole shows three collateral vascular bundles arranged in open arc. the stem exhibits circular cross-section and uniseriate epidermis, with trichomes similar to those of the leaf. angular collenchyma and chlorenchyma alternate in the cortex and perivascular fibres adjoin the phloem. the cambial zone is evident and the phloem is formed outwards and the xylem inwards. the pith is parenchymatic. secretory ducts are associated with the vascular system in the leaf and stem.

Progianti, Jane Márcia;Costa, Rafael Ferreira da;
Escola Anna Nery , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-81452008000400025

Progianti, Jane Márcia;Porfírio, Aline Bastos;
Escola Anna Nery , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-81452012000300003
Abstract: the objective of this historical-social study is to analyze the battle strategies in the process of implementing humanized practice at the alexander fleming maternity. the method used was oral thematic history. the analysis was performed using data triangulation, by articulating the oral statements with the written documents. the foundations of the study are the theoretical notions of field, habitus, symbolic power, symbolic battle and capital of the sociologist pierre bourdieu. the results showed that the inclusion of nurses in delivery care occurred through human resource capacity for this project and an intensive training. by being inserted in the center obstetric nurses have created their own space for action and developed a protocol of care. obstetrical nurses, by means of battle their strategies, have taken over areas and positions that distinguished them for the development of humanized practices that agree with their updated habitus.
Macro and microscopic characters of the aerial vegetative organs of Carqueja: Baccharis usterii Heering
Budel, Jane Manfron;Duarte, Márcia do Rocio;
Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1516-89132010000100016
Abstract: this work aimed to study the macro and microscopic characters of the aerial vegetative organs of baccharis usterii for quality control purposes. the plant was prepared for light and scanning electron microscopic analyses. the stem consisted of three-winged cladodes with small leaves. in the caulinar axis, these was a uniseriate epidermis, chlorenchyma alternating with angular collenchyma, perivascular fibre caps adjoining the phloem which was outside the xylem, and parenchymatic pith. the wings and the leaves were alike, presenting a uniseriate epidermis, palisade parenchyma next to the both sides of the epidermis and spongy parenchyma traversed by minor collateral vascular bundles in the central region. in the leaf midrib, a single collateral vascular bundle was embedded in the ground parenchyma. secretory ducts and glandular trichomes occured in the stem and leaf.

Budel, Jane Manfron;Duarte, Márcia do Rocio;
Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-82502009000100009
Abstract: the identification of baccharis spp. which have cladodes, defined as winged stems, brings difficulties even for taxonomists. baccharis microcephala and b. trimera belong to the trimera group and are known as carquejas. in folk medicine, it is common the use of winged species for the same therapeutic indication, such as diuretic, hepatoprotective and digestive. the monograph of b. trimera is included in the f. bras. iv and this species shows anti-inflammatory, analgesic, bacteriostatic, bactericidal and antidiabetic activities. the species b. trimera and b. microcephala are alike and used by the population for the same therapeutic purposes. this work has aimed to study the external morphology and anatomy of the cladodes of these species, in order to contribute to the quality control of phytotherapic agents, as well as supply information for the taxonomic group. the botanical material was prepared for light and scanning electron microtechniques. both species are three-winged, although the stem wings are narrow and nearly continuous in b. microcephala while in b. trimera they are wider and interrupted. the morphological characters and mainly the non-glandular trichomes allow these species to be distinguished.
