Physics , 2013,
Abstract: A connection between the impedance spectroscopy response of anomalous Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNPA) diffusional models and of equivalent circuits containing constant phase elements (CPE) is established for a typical electrolytic cell. The analysis is carried out in the limit of low frequency in order to highlight the surface effects and to explore how they can be connected to the presence of CPE in the circuit. It is shown that, depending on the choice of the equivalent circuit, the action of these elements can be the same as the one obtained by using integro-differential boundary conditions to describe anomalous diffusive processes in the framework of PNPA models. The predictions are also compared with an experimental data obtained from an electrolytic solution.

Abstract: febr2 has reacted with an equivalent of mnt2- (mnt = cis-1,2-dicyanoethylene-1,2-dithiolate) and the α-diimine l (l = 1,10'-phenantroline, 2,2'-bipyridine) in thf solution, and followed by adding of t-butyl-isocyanide to give [fe(mnt)(l)(t-bunc)2] neutral compound. the products were characterized by infrared, uv-visible and m?ssbauer spectroscopy, besides thermogravimetric and conductivity data. the geometry in the equilibrium was calculated by the density functional theory and the electronic spectrum by the time-dependent. the experimental and theoretical results in good agreement have defined an octahedral geometry with two isocyanide neighbours. the π→π* intraligand electronic transition was not observed for cis-isomers in the near-ir spectral region.

Abstract: A Suplementa o Oral de Arginina (SOA) e o exercício físico s o capazes de modificar a secre o do Horm nio de Crescimento (GH), interferindo no metabolismo lipídico. The Oral Arginine Supplementation (OAS) and exercise are able to modify the secretion of the Growth Hormone (GH) that stimulates the lipid metabolism. The aim of the study was to verify the effect of the OAS, the aerobic exercise and the combination of the OAS with the aerobic exercise on the GH secretion and lipid metabolism in rats. The sample was composted for 40 male wistar rats, divided in four groups: Sedentary control (SC), sedentary arginine (SA), trained control (TC) and trained arginine (TA). The AS and AT received the oral supplementation in alternated days and the groups CT and AT realized swimming exercise for 1hour/day with overload equivalent to 5% of body mass five days per week during 4 weeks. The concentrations of GH were significantly difference between the sedentary groups (SC and AS) and (TC and AT) and the lipid metabolism did not change throughout all groups. In conclusions, aerobic physical training did not modify the lipid metabolism and diminishes the values of GH concentration and the OAS did not modify the concentration of GH in Wistar rats.

This article aims at analyzing the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of an integral educational experience of practice in health promoted by an NGO with youngsters at personal and social risk. In-depth interviews were conducted with six participants, as well as systematic observation in educational activities and research in documents, reports and videos on the institutional blog. Articulating different methods, this educational activity promotes dialogue and a dynamics of questioning, working in cooperative groups and strengthening horizontal relationships between youngsters and educators. Results indicate that health education induced the formation of a reflexive stance that allowed young people to reframe taboos and myths about health issues, and a better understanding of themselves. Information's critical analysis seems to be essential to establish a relationship between knowledge and its value for life and for health. The meaning built through this analysis is a parameter for choices and engines actions of self-care. By creating conditions for the young to reflect and explore concepts and procedures in society and regarding h

Semina : Ciências Exatas e Tecnológicas , 2010,
Abstract: This article discusses the use of the generalized continuum theories to incorporate the effects of the microstructure in the nonlinear finite element analysis of quasi-brittle materials and, thus, to solve mesh dependency problems. A description of the problem called numerically induced strain localization, often found in Finite Element Method material non-linear analysis, is presented. A brief historic about the Generalized Continuum Mechanics based models is presented, since the initial work of Voigt (1887) until the more recent studies. By analyzing these models, it is observed that the Cosserat and microstretch approaches are particular cases of a general formulation that describes the micromorphic continuum. After reporting attempts to incorporate the material microstructure in Classical Continuum Mechanics based models, the article shows the recent tendency of doing it according to assumptions of the Generalized Continuum Mechanics. Finally, it presents numerical results which enable to characterize this tendency as a promising way to solve the problem.
