Acta Scientiarum : Agronomy , 2008,
O Biobras-16 promoveu efeito benéfico no diametro do caule. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of different concentrations of a brassinosteroid analogue and inoculation of the vesiculararbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) Acaulospora scrobiculata on the ‘Cleópatra’ mandarin from the sowing until transplant point. The experiment was conducted under greenhouse conditions at Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense. The experimental designutilized was a randomized block with a 5x2 factorial scheme with 4 replications, using 5 concentrations of a brassinosteroid analogue, Biobras-16 (0.0; 0.1; 0.5 and 1.00 mg L-1) and with or without AMF inoculation. The AMF inoculation caused increment in height,number of leaves, diameter of the stem, leaf area and dry mass of the leaf and stem. The Biobras-16 promoted an increment of the diameter of the stem. The P, K, Fe and Mn contents were higher in the AMF inoculated plants. Results show that the association of the two factors studied modifies the growth of rootstock.

Abstract: the use of the minicutting technique for multiplying guava tree cultivars might allow the establishment of new protocols to obtain plantlets grown under better environmental control. this study was carried out to evaluate the minicutting technique for multiplying guava tree cultivars. three experiments were carried out in randomized block design, using four cultivars (paluma, pedro sato, cortibel 1 and cortibel 6) and four replicates. in these experiments, the lateral shoot emission of ministumps after successive harvests, the rooting capacity of cuttings in different seasons and the growth of plantlets were evaluated. the highest percentage of cutting rooting was observed in december. by that time, the average rooting of cultivars paluma, pedro sato, cortibel 1 and cortibel 6 was 92%, 75%, 75% and 79%, respectively. however, the rooting percentage of 'cortibel 1' minicuttings was most influenced by the month of the year, ranging from 16.7% and in november to 45.8% in june. after 138 days from cutting establishment, the plantlet heights were within the recommended technical standards for transplanting to the field, between 45 and 50 cm. based on these results, it was concluded that the minicutting technique is feasible for multiplying these cultivars.

Revista Brasileira de Fruticultura , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-29452009000200042
Abstract: minicutting is a method of vegetative propagation widely used in the formation of clonal minigarden of eucalyptus. this technique presents potential to be used for fast multiplication of new genotypes of guava, giving support to breeding work and, also, as a more appropriate technology for use in certified propagation programs. this study was carried out to evaluate the viability of the minicutting technique as a method of guava propagation (psidium guajava l.). seedlings of guava, 118 days after sowing, were detopped and from this blunt 210 minicuttings were prepared, 13.5 mm to 37.9 mm long, and placed in commercial substrata to rooting in intermittent mist chamber. fourty days after, 76% of the minicuttings have rooted and emitted aerial part. the ministumps of guava presented average of 1.52 sprouts per blunted seedling. minicuttings of regrowth were prepared from the seedlings, 39 days after blunt. thirty-five days after been planted, these minicuttings, with average length of 13.56 mm, presented 100% of rooting. results demonstrated the viability of minicutting for fast multiplication of guava, which can give support to breeding works in preliminary selections of interesting genotypes.

Abstract: This paper was developed in order to verify the influence of nitrogen fertilization and different genotypes in the nutritional aspect and in the production of total phenols in passifloraceae. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 5 × 2 × 2 factorial scheme, being five genotypes of Passiflora (three genotypes of Passiflora edulis, a genotype of Passiflora alata and a genotype of Passiflora ligularis), two levels of cow manure (with and without) and two doses of N (20 and 80 g), with four replicates. At 120 days after sowing, levels of foliar nutrient and total phenols were determined. Foliar N content varied depending on N doses, organic fertilization and the genotypes used. Foliar levels of P and K were higher when all genotypes received organic fertilization, while the levels of Fe and Mn were similar regardless of this fertilization. The levels of Ca and Mg were higher related to organic fertilization and the genotypes, in isolation. But the foliar contents of S, Zn and Cu increased only in relation to the used genotypes, and the average foliar content of total phenols found was 19.4 g·kg-1, ranging from 13.1 to 23.2 g·kg-1, being the lowest value observed in Passiflora alata without fertilization with cow manure. It is concluded that the nutritional requirement for N is greater for genotypes of the species Passiflora edulis in relation to the species Passiflora alata and Passiflora ligulares, and that the organic fertilization influences positively in the production of total phenols only for the genotype of sweet passion fruit.

Brathair , 2010,
Abstract: This paper presents an overview of female’s representation in the narratives of the Mabinogion. The different tales, taken as a whole, present us contradictory pictures of the female’s status in the Celticsocieties. These contradictions are probably due to the mix of Celtic groups to the people of the lands they conquered. The Celtic women, married or single, could play different functions including religious ones. Besides that, we should point out their important role as masters of weapons, of arts, of magic and as sexual initiators. This way, in this brief study we will try to discuss some aspects of the female’s role in the Celtic societies.

Marinho, Marildes;
Revista Brasileira de Educa??o , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S1413-24782003000300010
Abstract: this article will have fulfilled its purpose if it convinces the reader of the existence of a new rhetoric in the official discourse on teaching and that this new discourse possesses various explanations and can have implications for the pedagogical practices to which it is destined. the analysis presented here of the curricula of portuguese language and of the national curricular parameters for portuguese language _ pcn, leads us to believe that a set of declared strategies give this discourse a double generic appearance: of dissemination and of scientific discourse. these strategies can be seen, preferably, in the footnotes and bibliographic references.
