Bulletin de l'Institut Francais d'études Andines , 2001,
Abstract: GRAFFITI MOCHICA DE LA HUACA CAO VIEJO, COMPLEXE ARCHéOLOGIQUE DU BRUJO. MOCHICA GRAFFITI IN HUACA CAO VIEJO, EL BRUJO COMPLEX. On the surfaces and columns of four among seven superimposed phases (E,D,B,A) that form the Huaca Cao Viejo, graffiti representing a great variety of designs were discovered. We discuss their relevance, their significance, the techniques used in creating them, their relative chronology, and their use in other monumental buildings on the northern Peruvian coast.

Abstract: Hypospadias does not present an isolated genital anomaly but a complex urological, sex-ual, psychological and psychiatric, reproductive and aesthetic problem. Although there are over 200 operative techniques, this great surgical challenge presently does not have ideal operative solution. Nowadays, the use of urethral plate for urethroplasty, through various surgical tech-niques, presents a revolutionary concept in hypospadias surgery and it is being accepted by an ever-increasing number of hypospadiologists.Tubularized incised plate urethroplasty (TIP) -Snodgrass procedure was performed on a total of 22 boys; 16 distal (72.7%), 5 mid-penile (22.7%) and 1 proximal hypospadias in period from 1.1.2000 to 30.08.2003, by the same surgical team. The average patient age was 4.5 years (6 mon. to 12 years). All reconstructions have been done as primary urethroplasty while one distal hypospadias had one previous, unsuccessful MAGPI procedure. Complication included small urethrocutaneous fistulas in 4 (18%) and meatal stenosis in 1 (4.5%) child. Snodgrass pro-cedure is a successful method for reparation of distal hypospadias for it provides an excellent aesthetic result with acceptable complications. In order to evaluate the success of this method in reparation of mid- and proximal hypospadias, as well as the possibility of its application on previously unsuccessful or circumcised patients, it is necessary to gain additional experience al-though the first results are encouraging.
Repair of distal hypospadias by the tubularised incised plate urethroplasty: A simple versatile technique
Bath A,Bhandari P,Mukherjee M
Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery , 2003,
Abstract: Sixteen patients with distal hypospadias were treated by tubularised incised plate (TIP) repair as described by Snodgrass.1 Coronal hypospadias constituted most of the cases (56.2%). Patient age ranged from 1.2 to 4 years. Complications occurred in two cases (12%). One patient developed urethrocutaneous fistula (6 %) and meatal stenosis (6 %) occurred in another case. Cosmetic and functional results were excellent in fourteen cases. TIP repair is the optimal technique for virgin cases of distal hypospadias.
On Tight Euclidean 6-Designs: An Experimental Result
Djoko Suprijanto
ITB Journal of Science , 2011,
Abstract: A finite set $X seq RR^n$ with a weight function $w : X longrightarrow RR_{>0}$ is called emph{Euclidean $t$-design} in $RR^n$ (supported by $p$ concentric spheres) if the following condition holds: [ sum_{i="1"}^p frac{w(X_i)}{|S_i|}int_{S_i} f(oldsymbol x)dsigma_i(oldsymbol x) =sum_{oldsymbol x in X}w(oldsymbol x) f(oldsymbol x), ] for any polynomial $f(oldsymbol x) in mbox{Pol}(RR^n)$ of degree at most $t$. Here $S_i seq RR^n$ is a sphere of radius $r_i geq 0,$ $X_i=X cap S_i,$ and $sigma_i(oldsymbol x)$ is an $O(n)$-invariant measure on $S_i$ such that $|S_i|=r_i^{n-1}|S^{n-1}|$, with $|S_i|$ is the surface area of $S_i$ and $|S^{n-1}|$ is a surface area of the unit sphere in $RR^n$. Recently, Bajnok (2006) constructed tight Euclidean $t$-designs in the plane ($n="2"$) for arbitrary $t$ and $p.$ In this paper we show that for case $t="6"$ and $p="2",$ tight Euclidean $6$-designs constructed by Bajnok is the unique configuration in $RR^n$, for $2 leq n leq 8.$

Abstract: sedimentological and paleontological study of the man aike formation at the estancia 25 de mayo, sw of santa cruz province, argentina, represents the evolution of an incised valley from fluvial to marine environment during the late middle eocene. at the base of the unit there is an unconformity that corresponds to fluvial channels which cut down into the underlying maastrichtian sandstones of the calafate formation. the fauna of invertebrates (mostly molluscs) illustrated herein was collected from shell beds interpreted as tidal ravinement surfaces. the fauna includes terebratulid brachiopods, bivalves of the families malletiidae, mytilidae, pinnidae, ostreidae, pectinidae, carditidae, crassatellidae, lahillidae, mactridae, veneridae, and hiatellidae, and gastropods of the families trochidae and calyptraeidae, and a member of archaeogastropoda of uncertain affinities. the similarities of this fauna with that recorded in the upper member of the río turbio formation, together with 87sr/86sr ages, suggest a late middle eocene age for the man aike formation.

Abstract: throat cut is the incise wound that most frequently causes mortal injuries; nevertheless is the less common in our means. the main problem of throat cut in forensic setting is de differential diagnosis between suicide and homicide. the direction, depth, site and number of the injuries have particular importance in helping us to recognize the ethiology. in this paper we present a case of homicidal incised wounds of the throat and the most characteristic injuries are described.
URETHROPLASTY
MUHAMMAD AKMAL
The Professional Medical Journal , 2006,
Abstract: Objectives: To assess the results of Tubularized incised plate urethroplastyfor hypopadias repair and to find out the causes of failure. Design: Prospective randomized study. Place & Durationof Study: Department of urology, Allied Hospital Faisalabad. From May 2001 to April 2003. Patients & Methods: 20consecutive patients of Hypospadias were included in this study. All cases were managed by Tabularized incised platUrethroplasty (TIPU). Results: 12 cases presented with distal Hypospadias. 08 patients came with proximalHypospadias. Common age at presentation was below 5 years. Orthoplasty was done by Nasbit technique in 04patients. Overall success of tabularized incised plate urethroplasty for distal Hypospadias repair was seen in10(83.60%) cases. 01(8.30%) patients developed fistula and 01(8.30%) patient presented with total disruption. Meatalstenosis was observed in 01(8.30%) patient which responded well to regular dilatation. Overall success of TIPU forproximal Hypospadias repair was seen in 05(62.50%) patients. Fistula occurred in 02(25%) patients and total disruptionin 01(12.5%) patient. 01(12.5%) patient developed meatal stenosis which was managed by regular dilatation. Conclusion: TIPU can be applied as a valid option to treat all types of Hypospadias. Most of the complications canbe minimized by proper technique, prevention of hematoma formation and infection.
