INCLUSIVE CULTURE IN PRE-SCHOOL INSTITUTIONS

Journal of Special Education and Rehabilitation , 2011,
Abstract: Inclusive education is a rational concept that refers to the overall and long-term transformation of institutional systems in society, especially in education. Along with the transformation, a number of important and unresolved issues still appear in both theory and practice, as the duty of pre-school institutions and schools is to educate every student in the mainstream education system. One of the most important aspects of inclusion is the inclusive culture. Regardless of the good inclusive policy and practice, one cannot talk about successful inclusion without a properly developed inclusive institutional culture. This paper is a contribution to the research considering the development of inclusive culture in three preschool institutions. It is based on the thinking and attitudes of the pre-school staff toward the necessity of developing and nurturing an inclusive culture. Successful inclusion of pupils with special needs in the mainstream school system cannot be conceived without an inclusive culture.

Protonation of maleic and fumaric acid in aqueous sulfuric acid solutions

Journal of the Serbian Chemical Society , 2000,
Abstract: The protonations of maleic and fumaric acid in an acidic medium (aqueous solutions of sulfuric acid) were followed spectrophotometrically at room temperature. The acid-base equilibria were characterised qualitatively and quantitatively. The pKBH+ values were determined using the Hammett equation, employing several acid functions in order to determine which of them describes best the protonation process of the studied organic acids. The thermodynamic pKBH+ values as well as those of the solvation parameters m, m* and f and of the thermodynamic protonation constants (or, rather, the pKa,p values) were also defermined. The method of characteristic vector analysis (CVA) was used to reconstruct the experimental spectra.

Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis in a patient with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
Semnic Marija,Jovanovi? Darjana V.,Petrovi? Dragana,Na? Ilinka
Archive of Oncology , 2004, DOI: 10.2298/aoo0401071s
Abstract: Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis is uncommon neurological side effect of cancer in the absence of direct effect of primary tumor or metastasis, side effects of treatment or metabolic dysfunctions (6). Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma triggers such side effect very rarely. We present a case of a young adult with complete clinical course of non- Hodgkin's lymphoma with an episode of behavioral disturbances and MRI features which were pathognomonic for paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis.
A note on generators of the endomorphism semigroup of an infinite countable chain
Ilinka Dimitrova,Vítor H. Fernandes,J?rg Koppitz
Mathematics , 2015,
Abstract: In this note, we consider the semigroup $O(X)$ of all order endomorphisms of an infinite chain $X$ and the subset $J$ of $O(X)$ of all transformations $\alpha$ such that $|Im(\alpha)|=|X|$. For an infinite countable chain $X$, we give a necessary and sufficient condition on $X$ for $O(X) = \langle J \rangle$ to hold. We also present a sufficient condition on $X$ for $O(X) = \langle J \rangle$ to hold, for an arbitrary infinite chain $X$.
Pregnancy and melanoma

Abstract: Numerous malignant diseases reach their incidence peak in female fertile years. That is the reason why these diseases are the second most common cause of death of women in their generative age. However, neoplastic processes are rarely diagnosed in pregnancy and there are no clear-cut guidelines on whether the pregnancy should be terminated in order that a proper treatment could be applied. We have not enough knowledge jet about the consequences for both the mother and her child if the pregnancy is allowed to continue despite the diagnosis of malignancy. Melanoma is one of the most common tumours diagnosed in pregnancy (8% of all diagnosed neoplasms). Some studies present the data on successfully terminated pregnancies in these women but also point out the risks the fetus is exposed to due to possible application of cytotoxic therapy, as well as the danger of transplacental spread of this process to the placenta and fetus.
Anatomical injuries caused by Leipotrix dipsacivagus Petanovic & Rector on cut-leaf teasel, Dipsacus laciniatus L. (Dipsacaceae)
Pe?inar Ilinka,Stevanovi? Branka,Rector B.G.,Petanovi? Radmila
Archives of Biological Sciences , 2007, DOI: 10.2298/abs0704363p
Abstract: The present study highlights some conspicuous structural malformations of the native Eurasian plant Dipsacus laciniatus L. (Dipsacaceae) caused by infestation with a newly determined eriophyid mite, Leipothrix dip-sacivagus (Petanovic & Rector, 2007). The most striking structural changes, induced by mite feeding were evident in the stunted appearance of infested plants and conspicuous injuries to their leaf tissues. The significant damage it causes to D. laciniatus recommends the narrow host-range mite L. dipsacivagus as a potential agent for biological control of this plant, which is widespread everywhere in the lowlands of Europe and is listed as an invasive and noxious weed in the USA.
