Abstract: Based on artificial forest of Calotropis gigantea (L.) Dryand. area of 20.1 hm2, planted in the base of seed management station in Yuanjiang County, Yunnan Province, according to the average standard wooden method, the stand biomass was calculated in this paper. Based on the survey data of representative sample trees, the single-tree biomass model was constructed.
Renal Expression and Clinical Significance of High Mobility Group Box 1 in Lupus Nephritis  [PDF]

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the clinical significance of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) expression in nephridial tissues of lupus nephritis (LN). Methods: Sixty-three patients with active LN and 15 systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) (combined without LN) were included. Renal biopsies were performed in the two groups. The biopsies were evaluated according to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification and renal disease activity was estimated using the British Isles lupus assessment group (BILAG) index. Serum levels of HMGB1 were analyzed by western blot. HMGB1 expression in renal tissue was assessed by immunohistochemistry in the two groups. The correlation between HMGB1 and renal active index (AI), chronicity index (CI), pathological type of LN was analyzed. Results: LN biopsies showed WHO class III, IV or V and all patients had high renal disease activity (BILAG A/B). The HMGB1 expression was higher in the LN groups than the control groups (t = 9.263, P < 0.05). It showed positive correlation between HMGB1 expression and SLE DAI classification (r = 0.579, P < 0.05), AI (r = 0.708, P < 0.05) and renal tubule interstitial (TIL) classification (r = 0.815, P < 0.05), and negative correlation between HMGB1 expression and CI classification (r = 0.582, P < 0.05). Abstract: In this paper, we consider the long wavelength limit for the quantum Euler-Poisson equation. Under the Gardner-Morikawa transform, we derive the quantum Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation by a singular perturbation method. We show that the KdV dynamics can be seen at time interval of order $O(\epsilon^{-3/2})$. When the nondimensional quantum parameter $H=2$, it reduces to the inviscid Burgers equation.
Neuroprotective Effects of Ginkgo Biloba Extract (GbE) on Oxygen-Glucose Deprivation (OGD) in PC12 Cells  [PDF]

Abstract:

Ischemic cerebrovascular disease is a global health problem. According to the World Health Organization, ischemic stroke is actually the most common cause of death in the world. Ginkgo biloba extract (GbE) is a traditional Chinese medicine for angina pectoris. Ginkgo biloba plays a role in expanding blood vessels, increasing coronary and cerebral blood flow, preventing platelet aggregation, inhibiting thrombosis, and improving the microcirculation. In the present study, we investigated the mechanisms involved in the neuroprotective effects of GbE in a model of hypoxic-ischemic brain disease. We used NGF(100 ng/ml for 6 days)and OGD(5% CO2and 95% N2, 1 mmol/l NaS2O4insugar-free DMEM for 16 h) to stimulate PC12 cells and convert them into neurons in order to establish an ischemia model. The results showed that PC12 cells transformed into cells that looked like neurons and that MAP2 was up-regulated in NGF-treated PC12 cells. Cell apoptosis was found to be up-regulated after NGF stimulation and OGD. The apoptosis rate after 16 hours of OGD was 19.44%. GbE (50ng/ml) reduces apoptosis rate to 11.35%. These results may help to show that NGF treatment can be combined with OGD to establish anin vitromodel of acute ischemic brain damage. In the present study, we find that GbE effectively increases the survival rate of PC12 cells and relieves OGD damage. These results suggest that GbE has the neuroprotective effects of ischemic brain damage.

The long-term status inequality has inhibited women’s instinct and desire to tap their own potential and the sense of social participation. The career development and life balance of female leaders under multiple role conflicts has become the confusion of most female leaders. Therefore, mastering the balance of female leadership role conflicts is of great significance for improving women’s leadership and creating a happy life.
Rapid and Sensitive Analysis of Eight Polyphenols in Tobacco by Rapid Resolution Liquid Chromatogarphy  [PDF]

Abstract: A rapid resolution liquid chromatographic (RRLC) method for the determination of eight polyphenols in to-bacco was developed. Polyphenols were extracted from tobacco samples by methanol/ water in an ultrasonic bath, then subjected to clean up by solid phase extraction. The separation was performed on a 50 × 4.6 mm, 1.8 μm ZORBAX Eclipse XDB-C18 column. Compared with conventional HPLC method, the analysis time for eight polyphenols by RRLC method was reduced from 20 to 5 min without sacrificing resolution, and the sensitivity was improved. This method appears simple, accurate and precious. The relative standard devia-tions (RSD) of overall analysis procedure for eight tobacco polyphenols were less than 2% with the recover-ies ranging from 94% to 107%. This method could be applied to the rapid determination of major polyphe-nols in tobacco with satisfactory results.

Abstract: This paper presents an empirical study on the influences of variables on the relationship quality between enterprises in China. The variables consist of relationship specific investment, relationship understanding and trust between enterprises. The related empirical data is collected from domestic enterprises. Then the study is conducted based on adjusting the macroscopic economic environmental variables. Lastly, the paper draws conclusions and proposes suggestions based on the according to the results of the empirical test. DL(2m): A New Scalable Interconnection Network for System-on-Chip

Abstract: With the feature size of semiconductor technology reducing and intellectual properties (IP) cores increasing, on chip communication architectures have a great influence on the performance and area of System-on-Chip(SoC) design. Network-on-Chip(NoC) has been proposed as a promising solution to complex SoC communication problems and has been widely accepted by academe and industry. Focusing on decreasing node degrees, reducing links and reusing router nodes, a regular NoC architecture, named Double-Loop(DL(2m)) interconnection network, is proposed. The topology of DL(2m) is simple, symmetric and scalable in architecture, and it is 3-regular plane graph with 4m nodes. The nodes of DL(2m) adopt Johnson coding scheme that can make the design of routing algorithms simple and efficient. The DL(2m) was compared with Ring and 2D Mesh by simulating and analysing, both under uniform load and under more realistic load assumptions in the several network size scenarios. The results show that the DL(2m) topology is a good trade-off between performance and cost, and it is a better NoC topology when there are not too many network nodes.
