Properties of Phase Transformation of Ferroelectric Thin Films with Surface Layers  [PDF]

Abstract: Using the generalized Ginzburg-Landau-Devonshire theory, the characteristics of phase transformation of a ferroelectric thin film with surface layers are investigated. We study the effect of the surface layer on the properties (coercive field, critical thickness) of a ferroelectric thin film. Our theoretical results show that the surface layer is likely to answer for the emergence of phase transformation.

Abstract: Inspired by the theory of Constructivism, the notions of learner diversity and learner choice get a lot of awareness and recognition of many educators, therefore more and more emphasis has been placed on the position of students in the classroom. As a consequence, the traditional teacher-centered foreign language teaching pattern has been supplanted by a new students-centered pattern by which students are the main body of the class and the owner of their learning. However, teachers’ role in students-centered foreign language teaching class should not be neglected. In intensive reading class, which is a course to cultivate the students’ comprehensive abilities of language, the roles of the teacher, instead of as a controller and a dominant, should be played fully as a manager and an organizer of the language teaching class, a designer of the teaching process, a source of teaching material, an investigator and a counselor of students’ learning and a promoter of deepening and confirming the accepted knowledge. Abstract: In this paper we show irreducibility and the strong Feller property for transition probabilities of stochastic differential equations with jumps and monotone coefficients. Thus, exponential ergodicity and the spectral gap for the corresponding transition semigroups are obtained.
Power Balance Theorem of Frequency Domain and Its Application  [PDF]

This paper proves a power balance theorem of frequency domain. It becomes another circuit law concerning power conservation after Tellegen’s theorem. Moreover the universality and importance worth of application of the theorem are introduced in this paper. Various calculation of frequency domain in nonlinear circuit possess fixed intrinsic rule. There exists the mutual influence of nonlinear coupling among various harmonics. But every harmonic component must observe individually KCL, KVL and conservation of complex power in nonlinear circuit. It is a lossless network that the nonlinear conservative system with excited source has not dissipative element. The theorem proved by this paper can directly be used to find the main harmonic solutions of the lossless circuit. The results of solution are consistent with the balancing condition of reactive power, and accord with the traditional harmonic analysis method. This paper demonstrates that the lossless network can universally produce chaos. The phase portrait is related closely to the initial conditions, thus it is not an attractor. Furthermore it also reveals the difference between the attractiveness and boundedness for chaos.

Evaluation of the Effect of Ecological Migration on Rural Household Development Capability  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper aims at evaluating rural household development capability in the procedure of ecological migration in Ningxia with fuzzy mathematics method. To achieve this goal, an indicator system of rural household development capability, which consists of 3 first-class indicators, 21 second-class indicators and 57 third-class indicators, is established. The data applied in this research are acquired from a field investigation to Liupanshan poverty-ridden areas in Ningxia. According to the results, rural household development capability of resettlement areas has increased compared with that of montanic areas, as is reflected in the three first-class indicators, self development capability, self development awareness and public atmosphere. However, at the same time, a few second- and third-class indicators have decreased owing to migration, such as per capita net income, guanxi network and money-raising ability, etc. This offers an overall view of the changes in peasants’ life, and accordingly a few suggestions on future implementation of the migration policy.
Synchronization reveals correlation between oscillators on networks

Abstract: The understanding of synchronization ranging from natural to social systems has driven the interests of scientists from different disciplines. Here, we have investigated the synchronization dynamics of the Kuramoto dynamics departing from the fully synchronized regime. We have got the analytic expression of the dynamical correlation between pairs of oscillators that reveals the relation between the network dynamics and the underlying topology. Moreover, it also reveals the internal structure of networks that can be used as a new algorithm to detect community structures. Further, we have proposed a new measure about the synchronization in complex networks and scrutinize it in small-world and scale-free networks. Our results indicate that the more heterogeneous and "smaller" the network is, the more closely it would be synchronized by the collective dynamics.
Stationary Measures for Stochastic Differential Equations with Jumps

Abstract: In the paper, stationary measures of stochastic differential equations with jumps are considered. Under some general conditions, existence of stationary measures is proved through Markov measures and Lyapunov functions. Moreover, for two special cases, stationary measures are given by solutions of Fokker-Planck equations and long time limits for the distributions of system states.
Topological equivalence for discontinuous random dynamical systems and applications

Abstract: After defining non-Gaussian L\'evy processes for two-sided time, stochastic differential equations with such L\'evy processes are considered. Solution paths for these stochastic differential equations have countable jump discontinuities in time. Topological equivalence (or conjugacy) for such an It\^o stochastic differential equation and its transformed random differential equation is established. Consequently, a stochastic Hartman-Grobman theorem is proved for the linearization of the It\^o stochastic differential equation. Furthermore, for Marcus stochastic differential equations,this topological equivalence is used to prove existence of global random attractors.
Multiplicative Ergodic Theorem for Discontinuous Random Dynamical Systems and Applications

Abstract: Motivated by studying stochastic systems with non-Gaussian L\'evy noise, spectral properties for linear discontinuous cocycles are considered. These linear cocycles have countable jump discontinuities in time. A multiplicative ergodic theorem is proved for such linear cocycles. Then, the result is illustrated for a linear stochastic system with general L\'evy motions. Finally, Lyapunov exponents are considered for linear stochastic differential equations with $\alpha$-stable L\'evy motions.
Asymptotic methods for stochastic dynamical systems with small non-Gaussian Lévy noise

Abstract: The goal of the paper is to analytically examine escape probabilities for dynamical systems driven by symmetric $\alpha$-stable L\'evy motions. Since escape probabilities are solutions of a type of integro-differential equations (i.e., differential equations with nonlocal interactions), asymptotic methods are offered to solve these equations to obtain escape probabilities when noises are sufficiently small. Three examples are presented to illustrate the asymptotic methods, and asymptotic escape probability is compared with numerical simulations.
