Evaluation of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Findings and Short-Term Outcome in Brain Metastatic Tumors after CyberKnife Treatment  [PDF]

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the treatments’ outcomes in brain metastatic tumors after CyberKnife treatment according to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings and improvement of symptoms. Methods: A retrospective analysis of CyberKnife treatment; 63 cases of patients with brain metastases; the use of CyberKnife treatment; short-term outcome evaluation after treatment and the MRI findings and measured before treatment and underwent diffusion-weighted imaging MRI scan of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values. Results: 3 months after CyberKnife treatment and effectiveness were 82.5% and 96.8% respectively; 6 months and one year survival rates were 82.5% and 55.6% respectively; the median survival time was 16 months. MRI of 52 patients (67 lesions) ADC values after treatment increased to some extent than before treatment. There are 38 lesions volume to shrink or disappear, no enhancement or slight enhancement in the lesion, no edema zone; 27 lesions does not change in volume, no edema (18 lesions significantly weakened the degree of enhancement; 6 lesions showed no obvious change enhancement; 3 lesions showed ring enhancement, internal cystic); 2 lesions volume were larger, heterogeneous enhancement, peripheral edema. Conclusion: CyberKnife is an effective method for treating brain metastatic tumor. MRI can accurately evaluate tumor lesions after treatment.
Stickiness of KAM tori for higher dimensional beam equation

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the stickiness of invariant tori obtained by KAM technics (so-called KAM tori) for higher dimensional beam equation. We prove that the KAM tori are sticky, i.e. the solutions starting in the $\delta$-neighborhood of KAM torus still stay close to the KAM torus for a polynomial long time such as $|t|\leq \delta^{-\mathcal{M}}$ with any $\mathcal{M}\geq 0$, by constructing a partial normal form of higher order, which satisfies $p$-tame property, around the KAM torus.
Temporal Distribution of Fish Community Structure in Dongting Lake Estuary  [PDF]

Abstract: The Dongting Lake Estuary is migration pathways for some river-lake migratory and semi-migratory fishes. In the present study, an annual survey of fish was conducted from January to November 2018 covering a total of 6 sites in Dongting Lake Estuary. A total of 57 freshwater species and subspecies belonging to 5 orders and 10 families were recorded. The catches at the Dongting Lake Estuary were mainly composed of Lake settled fish. The biomass of Cyprinus (Cyprinus) carpio Linnaeus was the highest, accounting for 25.53% of the total catches, followed by Hypophthalmichthys molitrixs, Culter alburnus Basilewsky and Ctenopharyngodon idellus, accounting for 10.41%, 8.99% and 7.10% of the total catches, respectively. The four major domestic carps accounted for 26.13% of the total catch. The range of richness of species varied between 40 and 51 species. The trend was fewer species in spring, with the arrival of summer and autumn gradually increasing, peaking at the turn of summer and autumn, and then gradually decreasing with the arrival of winter, to the lowest in spring. The Shannon, Simpson, Pielou and Margalef indices showed the consistent trends with richness of species.

Abstract: Spinibarbus caldwelli was an endemic species to China, and its germplasm protection and resources utilization had become more and more concerned. To know its genetic diversity and differentiation, the mitochondrial DNA D-loop was amplified and sequenced for 148 individuals from four regions of Pearl River and Yangtze River Basin. Altogether 9 variable nucleotide sites existed among the aligned sequences of 748 bp, and 8 haplotypes were found within 148 individuals. The average nucleotide diversity (Pi) was high 0.00297, while haplotype diversity (Hd) was 0.706. The average genetic distance was 0.00298, most value occurred between LJ and CL populations, and small value occurred between HJ and QZ populations.

The Effects of Cigarette Smoke Extract on Ovulation, Oocyte Morphology and Ovarian Gene Expression in Mice

Abstract: Cigarette smoking can harm fertility, but the existing research has targeted primarily on ovarian follicles, embryos or sex hormone. In this study, we tested cigarette smoke extract on ovulation, oocyte morphology and ovarian gene expression associated with inhibition of oxidative stress using C57BL/6 mice. Mice in the experimental group were administered a cigarette smoke extract (CSE) solution (2 mg/ml) orally daily, while the blank control group was given dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). A positive control group (menadione) was used that received an intraperitoneal injection of 15 mg/kg menadione in oil solution daily. We found that the CSE group manifested a reduced diameter of zona pellucida-free oocyte (ZP-free OD) and a morphologically misshapen first polar body (PB). Our results suggest that CSE exposure is associated with a shrink size and poor quality of oocytes. Quitting smoking is a wise choice to ensure good fertility.

Abstract: Anticipation is a strategy used by neural fields to compensate for transmission and processing delays during the tracking of dynamical information, and can be achieved by slow, localized, inhibitory feedback mechanisms such as short-term synaptic depression, spike-frequency adaptation, or inhibitory feedback from other layers. Based on the translational symmetry of the mobile network states, we derive generic fluctuation-response relations, providing unified predictions that link their tracking behaviors in the presence of external stimuli to the intrinsic dynamics of the neural fields in their absence.

Abstract: Under the circumstances of globalization, collaboration between organizations becomes an important topic in the field of strategy management. With an increase of nonprofit organization in scale and number, it has been a new choice that enterprise builds collaborative relationship with nonprofit organization. Considering the different characteristic of two organizations, this paper begins with different motives of collaboration between enterprise and nonprofit organization and then explores many kinds of modes of collaboration. By describing the social embeddedness of organization behavior, this paper sets forth the concept and formation mechanism of collaborative network. Future research on collaboration between enterprise and nonprofit organization would be strengthened in effect and management of collaboration based on network theory.

Abstract:

The spheroidal wave functions are investigated in the case $m = 1$. The integral equation is obtained for them. There are two kinds of eigenvalues in the differential and corresponding integral equations, and the relation between them is given explicitly. This is the great advantage of our integral equation, which will provide useful information through the study of the integral equation. Also an example is given for the special case, which shows another way to study the eigenvalue problem.
