Abstract: Cell therapy was proposed as a potential treatment intervention for liver cirrhosis recently due to the fact that the therapeutic protocol for primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC)-associated refractory umbilical hernia and hepatic hydrothorax is not well defined currently. We report herein the case of a 58-year-old woman who received routine treatments for PBC, which developed into an incarcerated hernia and uncontrolled hydrothorax. This subject’s condition was significantly improved and maintained stable condition after receiving human umbilical cord blood-derived mononuclear cell (CBMC) transplantation. Consequently, this new strategy may be a potential treatment option for the refractory umbilical hernia and hydrothorax caused by PBC. However, sufficient data from large-scale controlled and double-blinded clinical trials are needed to further confirm the treatment efficacy and longterm safety before this cell transplantation can be used as a regular therapy for liver cirrhosis.

Abstract: The title compound, C36H36N4O4, was prepared as a spirolactam ring formation of the rhodamine dye for comparison with a ring-opened form. The xanthene ring system is approximately planar [r.m.s. deviations from planarity = 0.023 (9) for the xanthene ring]. The dihedral angles formed by the spirolactam and 1,3-benzodioxole rings with the xanthene ring system are 86.8 (1) and 74.3 (1)°, respectively.

Abstract: 通过对波场矢量计算散度与旋度可将P波和S波进行分离,这种方法是波场传播与计算散度和旋度进行波场分离两部分的结合.基于二维各向同性介质速度模型,首先使用弹性波动方程对速度模型进行波场传播模拟;然后在地表接收多分量记录的同时计算散度代表P波、计算旋度代表S波,由于计算散度和旋度包括对空间各分量求导,这就导致了π/2的相位移,使用Fourier变换在频率域对记录进行-π/2的相位校正,就分别获得P波和S波的波场记录.通过对二维模型试算,并分析结果可知,采用计算散度和旋度进行波场分离是一种有效的方法.

Abstract: We propose a new recursive subspace identification algorithm for online estimating the system parameters in practical engineering. By introducing the instrumental variable, we convert this problem into a recursive minimization problem of an objective function. The recursive least square algorithm is employed to estimate the parameters, then the propagator method is developed to update the extended observability matrix; and the system matrices are finally computed. The proposed method is simple and effective and is improved to be robust to the uncertainty in initial values. The efficiency of this method is illustrated with a simulation example.

Abstract: We have designed a new type metal-semiconductor-metal structure with InAs self-assembled quantum dots. Hystereses loops were observed in DC current transport. With quantum dots(QDs) directly embedded beneath the GaAs-metal interface, the charge and discharge of electrons in the dots modulate the current to form hysteresis. For a single quantum dot, the charge and discharge can be thought as single-electron processes controlled by applied voltage. In this paper we analyzed the characteristics of charging and discharging processes for the ensemble of QDs as a whole. The discharging process was dominated by the change of tunneling rate with gate voltage. The charging process was controlled by forward current flowing though the diode. The calculated results indicate that the electrons trapped to the ground states of QDs give rise to charging effect. The excited states capture fewer electrons and influence the charging effect weakly.

Abstract: In the temperature range from 77 to 292 K, we investigated the transport properties of metal-semiconductor-metal diode containing InAs quantum dots. With increasing temperature, the current hysteresis loops, which were caused by charged quantum dots, reduced gradually. The resonant tunneling process, which may occur in some Schottky barriers, could induce steps on the I-V curves in the measured temperature range and diminish the hysteresis loops intensively. We have calculated the saturation current density and ideality factor of the Schottky barrier with reverse characteristics. We found that the resonant tunneling process would shift the Schottky barrier away from the ideality status, while the charging effect mainly influenced the barrier height and therefore influenced the saturation current density.

Abstract: We have investigated the transport properties of a metal-semiconductor-metal structure containing multi-layers of InAs quantum dots from 77 K to room temperature. Three distinct phenomena are observed in the current voltage( I-V ) curves:the hysteresis loops, current jumps and voltage offsets. Because of the coupling between the multi layered quantum dots, the devices made of these quantum dots exhibit much more complicated phenomenon than the devices containing single-layer quantum dots. The devices may undergo many metastable states and relaxation processes. These processes would induce current jump structures and noise in the I-V curve.
