Creative Education (CE) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2015.623253
Abstract: The Field Education movement emerged in the Brazilian society in the last two decades, bringing to the national political scenario the role of social and trade union movements of the countryside in the affirmation and struggle in defense of a new paradigm of education and school for people living and working in the countryside—farmers, camping and agrarian reform settlers, rural workers, indians, quilombolas, among others. Parallel to the achievements of this movement, especially in the context of State public policies for countryside people, the subject of Field Education has gradually been consolidated in national academic productions. However, despite the increasing volume of work and scientific publications in the area, a balance of academic production reveals the existence of a theoretical gap Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in the field. This recognition of the reality of Youth and Adult Field Education in our society is an area yet to be mapped, and considering the existence of a range of practices and dispersed EJA experiences present in the everyday of the countryside that require more specific studies, the research program entitled Practices in Youth and Adult Education, Literacy and Educational Alternations emerged, whose purpose was to carry out a coordinated study network that would enable the systematic collection and production of data and analysis on the EJA experiences present in the rural reality of Brazil, emphasizing the dimensions of educational practices, processes and pedagogical dynamics constructed within these experiences. In this article, originated from this research program, our purposes are to characterize and analyze under the Field Education movement, the EJA experience in the field, called Agrarian Residency Program in its history, principles and political and pedagogical practices, highlighting the alternated training dynamics gestated in its inside and the social representations built by educators on the alternation. Among other aspects, the study results show that the Agrarian Residence Program, as an experience of Youth and Adult Field Education has become a transformation-propellant space in training professionals of Agricultural Sciences, highlighting both the construction of emancipatory pedagogical practices, and the new political and social relations between universities and social movements. In this respect, besides the processes of dialogical and collective training, the Agrarian Residence Program has also provided the students and educators with a set of experiences and reflections on the reality of

Ciência da Informa??o , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-19652003000100012
Abstract: this paper proposes a competitive intelligence process (ci) in the internet based on inteligent agents. these agents are responsible for monitoring, gathering and filtering information sources, which are strategic to one organization. the process was applied to a pilot case study at the núcleo de estudos em inova??o, gest?o e tecnologia de informa??o - igti da universidade federal de santa catarina (production engineering graduate program, federal university of santa catarina). after that it was verified on three case studies in the following organizations. as a conclusion, it is possible to say that the proposed model can be applied to different organizations. furthermore, the results clearly show the need to formalize the information gathering and management process in organizations, besides the need to automatize it by using intelligent agents in order to make its operation feasible to the organizations.

Acta Scientiarum. Agronomy , 2010, DOI: 10.4025/actasciagron.v32i1.252110.4025/actasciagron.v32i1.2521
Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate sesame performance to npk fertilizer and different levels of soil fertility. two experiments were conducted: one in a greenhouse and another in field conditions. in the greenhouse, the study used a completely randomized design, in a 6 x 2 factorial scheme, with four replications. the first factor was six fertilization levels of 04:14:08, and the second two soil types (low and high fertility). the experiment in field conditions used randomized blocks with 6 treatments (0, 75, 150, 300, 450 and 600 kg ha-1 of 04-20-10 fertilizer 04:20:10) and 4 replications. the fertilization with 04:14:08 in low fertility soil promoted greater height of the plants from the beginning until the end of the cycle, whereas in ground of high fertility responses were evident only in the first 43 days of growth. the fertilization resulted in an increase in sesame grain yield when cultivated in low fertility soil, reaching maximum values in the dose of 550 kg ha-1 of 04:14:08 fertilizer. in field conditions, there was no response from fertilization with respect to the dry matter and yield of sesame grains cultivated in second crop conditions.

Natural Science (NS) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ns.2016.83019
Abstract: Brazil is the largest producer of sugarcane and its derivatives in the world, and one of the largest consumers of sugarcane derivatives. Sugar places a position of great prominence in Brazilian feed, either by direct consumption or as a component of industrialized products, from increasing consumption in the country. Sugar samples taken from local market were analyzed as the quality of table sugar consumed in the state of Sao Paulo (Brazil). The analysis of the parameters and basic attributes of characterization of sugar was according to the methodology developed by ICUMSA (2005; 2011) and ICUMSA modified by Copersucar (2002). Samples of sugar from this region showed that medium-low quality. It can be observed in fundamental aspects such as purity and insoluble residues, which were below the standard. In addition, it should be noted the difficulty of obtaining information about the limit values for each attribute, by virtue of Legislation not be assertive to the product and, also, the scientific studies have not been unified to present the specifics for each type of sugar.
