The Macroeconomic Effect of Public Investment  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper establishes a VAR model and VEC model using the data of Chinese public investment, GDP, private investment and employment from 1997 to 2013 aiming to analyze the influence of Chinese public investment on GDP, private investment and employment through ADF unit root test, Granger causality test, Johansen co-integration test, impulse response function, variance decomposition and other empirical methods. Results show that there is a stable equilibrium relationship among Chinese public investment, GDP, private investment and employment in the long term; Public investment has a positive effect on GDP in the short term, which is not obvious even negative in the long term though; Public investment has a crowding out effect on private investment in the short term, while has a positive impact instead in the long term; The positive influence that public investment has on employment is very weak both in the short term and long term. For the stable and healthy development of social economy, the government should improve the efficiency of public investment by means of controlling the scale, optimizing the structure and strengthening the supervision of public investment; A series of policies should be introduced as well to encourage private investment at the same time.

Abstract: The development of Web service has changed the process of software production, and requirements engineering becomes the key issue of service-oriented software engineering. Meantime, it reduces the degree of difficulty of software production, which facilitates end-users to customize software according to their personalized requirements. The paper proposes a method for service-oriented personalized requirements analysis, which is based on domain goal model and process model. The method can inform users of potential errors in requirements by detecting the correctness of requirements, which is driven by users’ personalized operations on goal models, and customize personalized processes to satisfy users’ requirements by reusing domain processes. The personalized processes are the basis for Web service discovery and composition.

Abstract:

The Bauhaus, one of the most prestigious colleges of fine arts, was founded in 1919 by the architect Walter Gropius. Although it is closed in the last century, its influence is still manifested in design industries now and will continue to spread its principles to designers and artists. Even, it has a profound influence upon subsequent developments in art, architecture, graphic design, interior design, fashion design and design education. Up until now, Bauhaus ideal has always been a controversial focus that plays a crucial role in the field of design. Not only emphasizing function but also reflecting the human-oriented idea could be the greatest progress on modern design and manufacturing. Even more, harmonizing the relationship between nature and human is the ultimate goal for all the designers to create their artworks. This essay will analyze Bauhaus’s influence on modern design and manufacturing in terms of technology, architecture and design education.

Abstract: We introduced a financial intermediary system including shadow banks into a New-Keynesian dynamic stochastic general equilibrium framework and analyzed the effect of confidence on the real economy. A model simulation indicated that confidence boosts growth and promotes consumption and investment in the real economy. The effects on the shadow banking system and traditional commercial banking system differed, thereby providing a new perspective for policy-making and economic structure model research.

Abstract: In this study, with borneol fragments in the crystallized mother liquor of natural borneol used as the raw materials, supercritical carbon dioxide method is adopted for refining to get high purity borneol. The result of the experiment shows that the yield and purity are excellent with an extraction pressure of 11 MPa, an extracting temperature of 40°C, a carbon dioxide flow rate of 25 L·h-1 and an extraction time of 20 minutes. After detected by gas chromatography, the purity of the crystallization products could reach 96%.

Abstract:
The hydrodynamics in fish school are studied through simulating the flow over two wiggling hydrofoils in diagonal arrangement by using the immersed boundary method, both in-phase and anti-phase wiggling motions are considered in this study, the effect of the longitudinal spacing on the hydrodynamic performance has been investigated. It is revealed that, when the longitudinal spacing is smaller than body length, the diagonal formation is helpful to the follower but harmful to the leader; when the longitudinal spacing is larger than body length, the opposite effect is occurring; and a significant enhancement of the propulsive performance is obtained when the longitudinal spacing is optimized.

Abstract: The vortex formation and organization are the key to understand the intrinsic mechanism in flying and swimming in nature. The vortex wake of dual-flapping foils is numerically investigated using the immersed boundary method. Beside the deflection of the reversed von-Kármán vortex street, an interesting phenomenon, the deflection of the von-Kármán vortex street, is observed behind the dual-flapping foils. The deflected direction is not according to the initial direction of biplane’s flapping motion. And the deflection angle is related to the difference between upward and downward deflecting velocities.

Abstract: The notion of ratio of width to length is proposed to describe the shaping feature of molten pool of twin-Arc submerged arc welding accurately, and analyze the law of molten pool variation and weld formation. The temperature field finite element numerical simulation model of twin arc movement is established. The loading form of twin-arc with double ellipsoid heat source is discussed. The molten pool temperature field of twin-arc submerged arc welding is calculated and analyzed under different process parameters. The law of molten pool characteristics influenced by the welding speed, current and voltage of twin-arc submerged arc welding parameters is analyzed. The relation between shaping feature of molten pool and weld formation is discussed according to the ratio of width to length. The results manifested that the width to length ratio of weld pool decreases with the improvement of welding speed, which result in gene- ration of weld defects. The width to length ratio of weld pool is increased by adjusting the proportion of the current, voltage and the distance of the two arcs, which avoids the generation of weld defects.

Abstract:

Coherent and convex risk measures, Choquet expectation and Pengs g-expectation are all generalizations of mathematical expectation. All have been widely used to assess financial riskiness under uncertainty. In this paper, we investigate differences amongst these risk measures and expectations. For this purpose, we constrain our attention of coherent and convex risk measures, and Choquet expectation to the domain of g-expectation. Some differences among coherent and convex risk measures and Choquet expectations are accounted for in the framework of g-expectations. We show that in the family of convex risk measures, only coherent risk measures satisfy Jensens inequality. In mathematical finance, risk measures and Choquet expectations are typically used in the pricing of contingent claims over families of measures. The different risk measures will typically yield different pricing. In this paper, we show that the coherent pricing is always less than the corresponding Choquet pricing. This property and inequality fails in general when one uses pricing by convex risk measures. Abstract:

Omics data provides an essential means for molecular biology and systems biology to capture the systematic properties of inner activities of cells. And one of the strongest challenge problems biological researchers have faced is to find the methods for discovering biomarkers for tracking the process of disease such as cancer. So some feature selection methods have been widely used to cope with discovering biomarkers problem. However omics data usually contains a large number of features, but a small number of samples and some omics data have a large range distribution, which make feature selection methods remains difficult to deal with omics data. In order to overcome the problems, wepresent a computing method called localized statistic of abundance distribution based on Gaussian window(LSADBGW) to test the significance of the feature. The experiments on three datasets including gene and protein datasets showed the accuracy and efficiency of LSADBGW for feature selection.
