Ramanujan-type Congruences for $\ell$-Regular Partitions Modulo $3, 5, 11$ and $13$

Abstract: Let $b_\ell(n)$ be the number of $\ell$-regular partitions of $n$. Recently, Hou et al established several infinite families of congruences for $b_\ell(n)$ modulo $m$, where $(\ell,m)=(3,3),(6,3),(5,5),(10,5)$ and $(7,7)$. In this paper, by the vanishing property given by Hou et al, we show an infinite family of congruence for $b_{11}(n)$ modulo $11$. Moreover, for $\ell= 3, 13$ and $25$, we obtain three infinite families of congruences for $b_{\ell}(n)$ modulo $3, 5$ and $13$ by the theory of Hecke eigenforms.

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound, C21H19N5O3, is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...N and C—H...O hydrogen bonds. The molecule contains a planar [maximum deviations = 0.026 (1) and 0.027 (2) ] benzofuran ring system, which forms dihedral angles of 78.75 (8) and 39.78 (7)° with the benzene and triazole rings, respectively.
Step-coordination algorithm of traffic control based on multi-agent system

Abstract: Aiming at the deficiency of conventional traffic control method, this paper proposes a new method based on multi-agent technology for traffic control. Different from many existing methods, this paper distinguishes traffic control on the basis of the agent technology from conventional traffic control method. The composition and structure of a multi-agent system (MAS) is first discussed. Then, the step-coordination strategies of intersection-agent, segment-agent, and area-agent are put forward. The advantages of the algorithm are demonstrated by a simulation study. Hai-Tao Zhang graduated from Henan University of Science and Technology, PRC in 1997. He received the M. Sc. degree from Henan University of Science and Technology in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, PRC in 2006. He is currently an associate professor at Henan University of Science and Technology. His research interests include intelligent control and computer application technology. Fang Yu graduated from Huzhou Teachers College, PRC in 2006. She is currently a master student in Henan University of Science and Technology, PRC. Her research interests include intelligent control and traffic control. Wen Li graduated from Zhengzhou University, PRC in 2007. Coupling Relationship between Tree Growth and Water Consumption of Pinus elliottii in Subtropical Red Earth Area

Abstract: 采用热扩散式探针(TDP)对湿地松(Pinus elliottii)树干液流密度及其周围环境因子进行长期同步测定,同时辅以树干解析、枝条解析等树木生长量调查方法,以期探索不同尺度上湿地松水分耗失与碳蓄积特征。结果表明,液流密度与冠层温度、相对湿度、光合有效辐射总量都呈显著的线性相关关系。液流密度与上述3个因子的多元线性回归方程和回归系数的相关性检验均达极显著水平。湿地松日均耗水量与边材面积间线性相关性显著。处于低龄期的湿地松,边材面积与胸径可用二次函数很好地拟合。根据2004年湿地松树干液流观测结果和生物量调查结果,推算出湿地松在生长过程中每形成1.7731g干物质需要消耗约1kg水分。文末还根据生物量数据推算了树木生长过程中的耗水量。图6表2参50

Abstract: The title arsenatomolybdate, K5[Mo8O24(OH)2(AsO4)]·2H2O, which was obtained hydrothermally, features an [AsMo8O28(OH)2]5 anion, which is formed by two Mo4O14(OH) units that are linked by As in a sandwich-like fashion. The overall symmetry of the anion is m2m. The {Mo4O14(OH)} core is composed of two pairs of confacial bioctahedral {Mo2O9} units with two μ4-O atoms which have been characterized as hydroxyl groups. The anions are further interconnected by potassium cations, forming a three-dimensional network structure with the uncoordinated water molecules occupying the channels. The structure is further stabilized by O—H...O hydrogen bonding.

Abstract: An effective modeling method for nonlinear distributed parameter systems (DPSs) is critical for both physical system analysis and industrial engineering. In this Rapid Communication, we propose a novel DPS modeling approach, in which a high-order nonlinear Volterra series is used to separate the time/space variables. With almost no additional computational complexity, the modeling accuracy is improved more than 20 times in average comparing with the traditional method.
Application of WBE model to ecology: a review

Abstract: This paper introduces the WBE model and reviews applications of the model to ecology. Provided that organisms are of a self-similar fractal-like network and their metabolic process follows laws of mass and energy conservation, and that energy distributes within organisms with least cost, West, Brown and Enquist(1997)proposed a 3/4 scaling relationship between metabolic rate and body size, i.e. the so called WBE model. Thereafter, based on WBE, Brown et al. developed the metabolic theory of ecology (MTE), which incorporated temperature effect on metabolism rate. The WBE and MTE models have been applied to hierarchic ecological systems from individual to biosphere level, and many scaling relationships based on the models have been predicted and confirmed. At individual level, WBE model predicts that the biomass fixed by leaves has a 3/4 scaling relationship with that fixed by root or stem. The annual growth rate of plant vegetative organs (leaf, stem and root) scales isometrically with respect to each other. Annual reproductive biomass of seed plants has a nonlinear logarithmic relationship with the biomass of leaf, root and stem. Growth rate and mortality rate scales as the -1/4-power of body size. At community level, there is a -1/3 scaling relationship between total standing biomass and population density, while annual community growth rate is irrelevant to population density. At ecosystem level, yield per unit area and energy flow rate have no relationship with individual biomass and increases with environmental temperature rising, namely the energetic equivalence rule (EER). Generally speaking, WBE model has been widely applied in physiological ecology, population ecology, community ecology and ecosystem ecology. Even for global change research, WBE model can be used to determine the parameters that can not be measured directly, for example, the estimation of global belowground carbon storage based on the scaling relationship between plant roots and aboveground parts. Up to now, there are still a lot of debate on the WBE and MTE model, generally focusing on the presumptions of the model and the predicted scaling exponents. This paper tries to show the value of the model and also advances several suggestions for future work.
Assessment model of townlet eco-environmental quality based on BP-artificial neural network.

Abstract: 针对中国小城镇生态环境质量综合评价存在的问题,以生态环境质量指标体系作为神经网络的输入、以生态环境等级评分作为输出,基于BP人工神经网络,建立了具有20个隐含层节点、3层网络的小城镇生态环境质量评价模型;以生态环境指标的各级评价标准作为模型的训练样本,以训练样本数量的10%以及各指标各等级的临界值、中间值作为检验样本,以研究区生态环境质量的实际监测值作为预测样本,利用MATLAB软件对BP人工神经网络进行训练,并对鄂州市杜山镇生态环境质量等级进行了模式识别.结果表明:利用BP人工神经网络方法对小城镇生态环境质量进行预测是可行的、可靠的,它不仅能很好地评价区域生态环境质量,而且能够与区域生态环境的实际特征相结合.
Electronic States of Elliptical Quantum Rings Subjected to a Magnetic Field

Abstract: We calculate the energy states and Aharonov--Bohm oscillations of an electron in elliptical quantum rings in the presence of a uniform magnetic field by using an exact numerical diagonalization. The calculated results show that the elliptical quantum rings are flatter, larger amplitudes and periods of the Aharonov--Bohm oscillations are observed. In addition, in the limits of a circular quantum ring, the results of our approach are in good agreement with those of earlier theories.
