Abstract: In this paper,the nonautonomous Volterra-Lotka competition models are considered where all the parameters are time-dependent and asymptotically approach periodic function respectively. Under some conditions,it is shown that any positive solutions of the model asymptotically approach the unique strictly positive periodic solution of the corresponding periodic system.
The Effect of p38MAPK on Cyclic Stretch in Human Facial Hypertrophic Scar Fibroblast Differentiation

Abstract: Hypertrophic scars (HTS), the excessive deposition of scar tissue by fibroblasts, is one of the most common skin disorders. Fibroblasts derived from surgical scar tissue produce high levels of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1). However, the molecular mechanisms for this phenomenon is poorly understood. Thus, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the molecular mechanisms of HTS and their potential therapeutic implications. Fibroblasts derived from skin HTS were cultured and characterized in vitro. The fibroblasts were synchronized and randomly assigned to two groups: cyclic stretch and cyclic stretch pre-treated with SB203580 (a p38MAPK inhibitor). Cyclic stretch at 10% strain was applied at a loading frequency of 10 cycles per minute (i.e. 5 seconds of tension and 5 seconds of relaxation) for 0 h, 6 h and 12 h. Cyclic stretch on HTS fibroblasts led to an increase in the expression of α-SMA and TGF-β1 mRNA and protein and the phosphorylation of p38MAPK. SB203580 reversed these effects and caused a decrease in matrix contraction. Furthermore, HTS fibroblast growth was partially blocked by p38MAPK inhibition. Therefore, the mechanism of cyclic stretch involves p38 MAPK, and its inhibition is suggested as a novel therapeutic strategy for HTS.
Face Detection in Compressed Domain Based on Multi-level Gradient Energy Presentation

Abstract: In this paper, a fast face detection algorithm for JPEG2000 color images is presented, which combines both color and texture information in order to find a good balance between speed and detection reliability. The algorithm is designed to work directly on the wavelet compressed domain which possesses the following characters: First of all, the multi-level gradient energy presentation of face pattern is proposed, which not only can highlight the facial parts in possible face patterns, but also can address effectively the problem of unknown size in face detection in compressed domain and therefore avoid the complex resolution transform in arbitrary ratios; secondly, the skin-color model in YChCr space is ameliorated to improve the reliability of skin segmentation; finally, a hierarchical detector which integrates the simply rule-based classifiers and complex neural network based classifier is designed to further improve the processing speed. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme is efficient and effective.

Abstract: This paper describes an efficient Motion-Compensated (MC)three dimension wavelet video coding system. In this system, MC temporal analysis is used to remove temporal redundancy. Then an adaptive group of pictures structure according to characteristics of motion can increase the coding efficiency and reduce computational complexity and memory requirement at the same time. Finally, a quadtree-based wavelet image coding method is proposed, which can adapt the property of wavelet image coefficient. The experimental results show that, the coding system is better than other motion-compensated three dimension wavelet video coding methods.

Abstract: There is great complexity in H.264 encoder. Therefore, it is difficult to implement an encoder in DSP platform which can run in real-time environment. In this paper, the coding architecture of H.264 Baseline Profile is introduced first, and some reasons for limiting speed are presented according to the analysis of the coding architecture. Besides, several implementation techniques for optimization are presented based on the characteristics of TMS320DM642 chip. The H.264 Baseline Profile encoder is finally real-time implemented based on DSP platform. The testing results demonstrate that encoder has sped up remarkably after optimization, which can meet the real-time encoding requirements for the video sequences with CIF format.

Abstract: A ROI-based rate allocation algorithm for the MPEG-4 FGS enhancement layer is proposed in this paper. On the basis of the ROI-oriented rate-distortion model, the proposed algorithm can perform optimal rate allocation for the enhancement layer after selective enhancement under equal image quality constraint. The experimental results show that, compared with the conventional average rate allocation algorithm, the proposed algorithm can significantly eliminate the quality fluctuation of ROI. Simultaneously, the computational complexity of the proposed method is low enough to meet the requirements of the real time rate allocation at the video server.

Abstract: 超分辨率复原是一种由一序列低分辨率变形图像来估计一幅(或一序列)较高分辨率的非变形图像的技术,同时,它能够消除加性噪声以及由有限检测器尺寸和光学元件产生的模糊.提出了一种基于多尺度正则化先验的最大后验概率超分辨率复原算法.算法特点如下:(1) 对运动估计结果实施可信度验证;(2) 采用图像的多尺度小波表征来定义图像的空域活动性测度,并由此构建多尺度Huber-Markov先验模型.实验结果表明,该算法不仅具有较好的超分辨率图像边缘保持能力,而且能够有效地消除图像伪迹.该算法可以应用于遥感图像、医学成像、高清晰度电视标准和合成视频变焦等领域.

Abstract: 提出的自适应HDR图像可视化算法中,输入图像被分解为基本层和细节层.该算法将整体明暗效果的显示看做整体问题,对表示亮度的基本层采用基于整体统计信息的直方图调整算法处理;可视细节信息的保持作为局部问题,算法采用自适应细节增强算法处理细节层.通过定义映射图对细节增强后的图像进行最终映射,将两方面结合起来得到最终结果.实验结果表明,该算法能对HDR图像进行较高视觉质量的显示.
