Abstract: the aim of this paper is to highlight some of the main limits and possibilities that should conduct public policies for digital inclusion in brazil. in the first part of the article, we show that the appearance of the new information and communication technologies has been increasing the asymmetries and exclusion that characterize the present process of economic globalization. in the second part, we describe the huge economic and social inequality in brazil, which is also expressed as a remarkable digital divide. the third part of the paper highlights the limits and possibilities involved in the elaboration of public policies for digital inclusion in brazil, considering not only the social and the economic peculiarities analyzed previously in the article, but also the specificities of the technology involved in these policies to attenuate the digital divide.

Abstract: This study has as objective to present a theoretical approach of the interface of social responsibility in natural resources management. It uses the definitions of organization, management and social responsibility based on the conjecture in which the models of management are fundament of a system of values and they reflect the way the organizations function. The comprehension of the importance of this interface allows a reflexion about the variables component of the model GREEN, in a contemporaneous perspective, and, at the same time, increases the amount of possibilities of discussions that surround the dynamic of natural and social procedures, especially in relation to the use of natural resources. It puts in evidence the social responsibility in natural resources management, using as referential the work of the authors: Carrol (1991), Vieira and Weber (2002), and Ashley (2003). The approach embody the importance of the moral and ethical values at the function of a system of management, the organizations as source of people searching for solutions of problems and, finally, the improvement in the quality of management of natural resources, in consequence of the inclusion of the new methods of management based on the social responsibility.

Abstract: Para que projetos de silos verticais que envolvam armazenagem de produtos sólidos sejam seguros e confiáveis, é importante que se conhe a o maior número de variáveis possíveis, tais como: propriedades de fluxo, geometria do silo e tipo de fluxo desejado. No intuito de validar as teorias de predi o de fluxo e o dimensionamento de silos, foram determinadas as propriedades de fluxo de três produtos sólidos, analisadas e testadas as teorias de tipo de fluxo e de dimensionamento de tremonhas de Jenike e Enstad, respectivamente, além de comparados os resultados com os obtidos experimentalmente em modelo reduzido de silo de se o semicircular. Os resultados experimentais corroboram com a metodologia de tipo de fluxo de Jenike e de tremonhas c nicas de Enstad. Os valores de orifício de descarga calculados pelo método de Jenike se demonstraram superdimensionados, sendo 45% superior ao necessário para obten o de fluxo. For design involving storage of bulk solids to be safe and reliable, it is important to know a large number of variables such as flow properties, geometry of silos and flow pattern. With the objective to validate prediction using flow theories and silo design procedures, the flow properties of three bulk solids were determined and Jenike's flow theory and Enstad's hopper design equations were applied and compared with those obtained experimentally in a reduced model of silo of semicircular section. The experimental results confirm the method of Jenike and Enstad for flow pattern and hopper design, respectively. The values of discharge orifice obtained by Jenike's equation are demonstrated to be oversized, being 45% higher than needed to provide flow.

Abstract: The objective of the research was to evaluate the effects of saline stress on the initial growth and physiological parameters of three varieties of cotton plants, being two cultivars of colored fiber (BRS Topázio and BRS Verde) and one of white fiber (BRS 286). The experiment was conducted under greenhouse conditions. After chemical depletion with sulfuric acid, five seeds were seeded in polyethylene pots of 20 kg, leaving only one plant per pot after thinning. The experimental design was completely randomized, with a factorial scheme of 3 × 5, with five replications, totaling 75 plots, being three cotton varieties and five saline stress treatments—1.1; 3.1; 5.1; 7.1; 9.1 dS m1. The evaluations occurred at 15 and 30 days after the beginning of the treatments (DAT) for growth variables (plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area) and gas exchange (stomatal conductance, net photosynthesis rate and transpiration. The variety that was most resistant to the salt stress levels studied was BRS 286, followed by BRS Topazio and BRS Verde.

Abstract: This paper deals a study concerning the synthesis and catalytic application of a series of SO42-/MCM-41 catalysts with different SO42-/Si ratios, in the catalytic esterification of oleic acid, aiming biofuels production. The catalysts were characterized by XRD and FT-IR. The catalytic tests were carried out in a batch reactor and the obtained results showed good catalytic activity with high degrees of conversions of oleic acid.

Abstract: establishing limits for building on beach borders is important in urban intervention projects, since they separate private domain from public life. contention walls play a crucial role by limiting the area used for building, and also by minimizing the effects of erosion and flooding in urban areas. this article analyzes case studies carried out in praia do amor, outeiro island, in the metropolitan region of belém, and marudá beach, a town in the northeast of the state of pará, brazil. based on the analysis of existing buildings in those locations, this study suggests a set of guidelines for establishing built limits on beaches. this article also provides references for additional studies required.
Isolation and mycelial growth of Diehliomyces microsporus: effect of culture medium and incubation temperature

Abstract: the false truffle is one of the main problems in the production of the agaricus brasiliensis in brazil and the control of this fungal competitor has been rather difficult due to difficulties in the isolation and cultivation of this pathogen. this experiment was conducted in three stages, the first consisting of the isolation of diehliomyces microsporus starting from portions of the fruiting body and through the ascospores suspension; second, d. microsporus cultivated in vitro at 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35oc in six different culture media (csda, ocda, pcda, oda, pda, cda); third, d. microsporus was inoculated on sterilized compost for formation of the fruiting body. the colony formation from tissue of d. microsporus starting from portions of fruiting body was more efficient than germination of the ascospores. compost medium (cda) allowed a larger diameter of the d. microsporus colony, followed by the medium made up of compost and potato mixture, favoring a denser composition. the largest mycelial growth speed of d. microsporus occurred when the culture was incubated at 28 and 30oc. incubation temperatures lower than 15oc or above 35oc inhibited the mycelial growth of d. microsporus completely. the fruiting bodies were obtained easily in sterilized compost and later inoculated along with mycelial competitor.
Desenvolvimento in vitro de Agaricus brasiliensis em meios suplementados com diferentes farelos

Abstract: the mushroom agaricus brasiliensis is usually grown in potato-based or compost media. the objective of this work was to evaluate the in vitro development of the strain abl 97/11 of a. brasiliensis grown in culture medium supplemented with brans of maize, wheat, rice and soybean, in different concentrations. cultivation was performed under constant temperature of 28oc. diameter of the colony was evaluated daily and after six days of cultivation, mycelial mass was obtained. the addition of soybean or rice brans did not favor the development in vitro of a. brasiliensis. the largest averages of mycelial mass and growth rate are obtained in medium containing 20% of wheat bran. the medium containing 10% of maize corn presents the highest growth rate among the different media under the same bran concentration.
