Abstract: O estresse hídrico afeta profundamente o metabolismo celular vegetal.

Journal of Sustainable Bioenergy Systems (JSBS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jsbs.2013.34035
Abstract:

In addition to the efforts undertaken by research institutions to generate new knowledge and technologies, it is also necessary to promote the results of this research. Specifically, there is a need for an information system that aggregates, organizes and systematizes information about agro-energy technology and makes it available on the Internet. Despite the abundance of information circulating on the internet in Brazil, a specific method for sharing valid scientific and technological information of practical interest, such as technical guidance and recommendations for processing various materials and production technologies for various forms of agro-energy, has not yet been established. This article presents the Agro-energy Tree of Knowledge, a tool developed by Embrapa to enable web access to comprehensive information about bioenergy production systems applied in different regions and conditions, in addition to texts, publications, statistical data about production and economic markets and information links related to agro-energy.

Journal of Cancer Therapy (JCT) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jct.2018.92011
Abstract: Gastric cancer (GC) is a major public health issue. It is considered the 5th most common cancer diagnosed worldwide and it is one of the main causes of malignant disease-associated morbidity and mortality. The cornerstone of curative treatment is still surgery, and since the rate of relapse is high, a multidisciplinary approach is warranted in most developed countries. And while there have been recent developments in the perioperative scenario namely the FLOT regimen, little has advanced considering patient selection. We have reviewed the major trials in this setting and provide some insights from recently reported microsatellite instability (MSI) in a subgroup analysis in the MAGIC trial patients that seem to suggest an opportunity to patient selection. Furthermore, GC subtyping may prove helpful selecting candidates to immunotherapy or even multimodal therapy in the future. As the paradigm is moving towards a precision oncology model, GC patient selection remains one the biggest challenges in oncology but seems closer to clinical practice reality as new developments are being reported.

Psychology (PSYCH) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2016.79119
Abstract: This study aims to discuss the process of construction of autonomy in parent-child practices, trying to understand the roles played by parents and their children in this process. We conducted a qualitative research study based on 132 interviews with parents, children (7 - 12 years), and adolescents (13 - 18 years), who were members of middle class families of different configurations living in the city of Rio de Janeiro. During the analysis of construction of autonomy, the following categories emerged from the narratives of respondents: Parenting exercise and gender; flexibility; emotional democracy; transgressions and ruptures; and anxiety of parents towards their children’s autonomy process. We found that individuals participate in an interplay and act reciprocally, influencing one another at different levels. We concluded that the construction of autonomy is an interindividual process involving all family members. This process includes a corpus of experiences of everyday parenting practices.

Abstract: this article presents the results of a study on federal health policy in the brazilian legal amazon (bla) from 2003 to 2005, aimed at backing the development of regional health policies. the region has peculiar dynamics, an extensive border area, and adverse social indicators. the methodology included documental and financial analysis, participatory observation, interviews with heads of various federal ministries and state and municipal health secretaries from the bla; characterization of geographic situations in the bla; and field studies in 15 municipalities. institutional consolidation of health policy proved to be low in the amazon during the study period, due to structural, institutional, and political difficulties. the identification of six geographic situations was useful for systematizing land use differences with repercussions on health, and which should be considered when implementing public policies. there is a certain gap between federal actions and territorial dynamics, expressed as a mismatch between the current policy and its recognition by local administrators. in addition to establishing a regional policy for the amazon, there is an evident need for differentiated policies within the region.
